Chapter 1136 Pragmatic (seeking a monthly ticket)

As the largest state-owned enterprise in Muchuan City, Muchuan Locomotive and Vehicle Factory is indeed well-known and has spent a morning visiting their two branches. Moreover, each branch is also very large in size, covering an area of from a few hundred acres and from a few thousand acres.

Muchuan Locomotive and Vehicle Factory was established in 1936. At the beginning of its establishment, the Ministry of Railways of the Republic of China seized 1,000 acres north of Muchuan Station and established the Muchuan switchboard factory until 1937. The Ministry of Railways of the Republic of China merged the Muchuan machine factory and several similar machines and factories, and was managed by the Muchuan switchboard factory until 1938. The Muchuan switchboard factory had built more than 26,000 square meters of factory buildings and more than 6,000 square meters of dormitories, and had more than 270 machines purchased from the United States, Britain and other countries.

Two 220 kilowatt steam engines have been built to generate electricity. At this point, the Muchuan switchboard factory has gradually started production.

During the process of establishing the aircraft factory, China's Anti-Japanese War broke out in 1937. Since Muchuan was established at that time, it was naturally the target of Japanese air strikes. Muchuan switchboard factory was also bombed by Japanese troops many times, causing damage to the factory and casualties.

In early 1939, the war situation worsened. The Ministry of Transport of the National Government decided to abolish the Muchuan switchboard factory and ordered all the machines and employees to move to Guangxi, Guizhou, and set up the three aircraft factories in Liujiang, Quanzhou and Qianzhong. After the end of the Anti-Japanese War, the Ministry of Transport of the National Government sent personnel to the Muchuan machine factory to investigate the damage caused by the Japanese army during the war. In May of the same year, the Ministry of Transportation requested the rebuilding of the Muchuan machine factory and re-establishing the preparatory office of the Muchuan machine factory in August of the same year. The scale was larger than before. A total of the factory was built, with a dormitory of more than 42,000 square meters and more than 800 equipment. At the same time, the Shijiang Port Power Plant factory was built on the ancient riverside and started to be put into production in 1947, repairing a small number of locomotives and vehicles.

In August 1949, the People's Liberation Army took over Muchuan, and at the same time, the People's Liberation Army Takeover Group took over the Muchuan Machinery Factory. In late August, the People's Liberation Army Central South Military Region Railway Transportation Command established the "Yanggen Railway Management Bureau". At the same time, the Muchuan Machinery Factory was renamed Muchuan Railway Factory on September 1st, and the factory started to resume production.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Muchuan Railway Factory resumed production. At that time, the state invested more than 5 million yuan to invest, and nearly 100 new equipment was added. At the end of October 1949, the first steam locomotive restored by the Muchuan Railway Factory was delivered to the factory. At this time, the Muchuan Railway Factory did not have the ability to research and development and manufacture. However, in 1950, the Muchuan Railway Factory became one of the factories invested and expanded by the state, and the Muchuan Railway Factory developed rapidly.

It was at that time that Muchuan was designated as a county-level city from Tanshui City, the second largest city in Gunan Province at that time. In the first five-year plan starting in 1953, Muchuan City was included in the "First Five-Year Plan" period. After one of the national key industrial bases was renovated and expanded, the Muchuan Railway Factory became a base for repairing railway buses and trucks. It has a complete set of processing capabilities such as cold processing, casting, forging, surface treatment, and inspection services, which gradually improved the quality of locomotive repairs. At the same time, the factory began to imitate the Soviet industrial enterprise management system and implement the state-owned enterprise leadership system with the factory director responsibility system.

Since 1957, in addition to maintaining and repairing locomotives, the Muchuan Railway Factory has tried to make locomotives and buses. Since the Muchuan Railway Factory entered production and developed steam locomotives in 1978, the Ministry of Railways has made it clear that electric locomotives will be the main direction of the development of railway locomotives.

In order to improve the production capacity and product technical level of electric locomotives, the Muchuan Railway Factory began to use foreign capital to introduce equipment. In 1982, after the World Bank hired experts from Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Sweden and other countries to conduct on-site inspection, the World Bank determined to provide a large loan. In 1985, the Zhuzhou Machinery Factory approved by the Ministry of Railways and used the World Bank to introduce 145 advanced equipment. In instruments and improved the main production equipment and testing methods of electric locomotives, which greatly improved the production capacity and product quality.

Through two expansions and renovations in the 1980s, the wood machine factory has formed a production capacity of more than 260 Taiwan electric locomotives in the late 1980s.

In March 1994, the Muchuan Railway Factory was officially renamed Muchuan Locomotive and Vehicle Factory. With the deepening of the restructuring of state-owned enterprises, Zhou Baoning proposed that the Muchuan Railway Factory should be separated from the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises and changed it to a municipal-owned enterprise. At that time, his idea was supported by the State Planning Commission. However, the Ministry of Railways had not agreed that all dozens of locomotive factories in the country were all under the China Railway Locomotive and Vehicle Industry Corporation. Although it was a general trend to decouple from the Ministry of Railways, no one would voluntarily give up the interests they had obtained.

However, at that time, Muchuan supported the shareholding reform of the branches of Muchuan Locomotive and Vehicle Factory. With the separation of state-owned enterprises and the wave of restructuring of auxiliary industries, Muchuan Locomotive and Vehicle Factory officially left the Ministry of Railways in May 1995.

With this, Zhu Daidong admired Zhou Baoning very much for the Ministry of Education and Spit out the flesh that was in his mouth, and Zhou Baoning's legs might have been thinner.

"Manager Gu, can the locomotives and vehicles manufactured by Muchuan Locomotives Factory rank advanced in China and be at the forefront compared with international standards?" Zhu Daidong asked, the current Muchuan Locomotives Factory has a factory area of more than 100,000 square meters. In addition, the accommodation area of more than 20,000 square meters and more than 30,000 employees, it is well deserved to be the largest state-owned enterprise in Muchuan City.

"The manufacturing of locomotives is closely related to the local soil, geology, and strata. If we talk about light speed, we cannot be compared with some advanced countries in the world for the time being. However, we also have our own advantages. For example, the Blue Arrow High-speed Powered Trailing Locomotive we developed has reached the international advanced level." Gu Chuanxiang said that Zhu Daidong visited the Locomotive and Vehicle Factory this time. Although Zhou Baoning came forward, his inspection today was very detailed in his understanding of the history, current situation and future development of the Muchuan Locomotive and Vehicle Factory.

"What are the main customers of the rolling stock factory at present?" Zhu Daidong asked

"We mainly provide products to the Ministry of Railways. The Ministry of Railways puts forward product requirements and we develop and produce," said Gu Chuanxiang.

"Have you ever thought about letting the locomotives of the rolling stock factory go abroad?" Zhu Daidong suddenly asked. China's Ministry of Railways is an extremely special department. If the rolling stock factory wants to become an enterprise that will drive the economic boom in Muchuan City again, it is not enough to just focus on the Ministry of Railways.

"We are working hard," Gu Chuanxiang said embarrassedly. Letting domestic locomotives earn foreign exchange exports was once the dream of all employees of the rolling stock factory. However, for various reasons, although the locomotives produced in China are cheap and of good quality and reliable in quality, there is no profitable market in the international market.

"I think the products of rolling stock and vehicle manufacturers, both domestic and internationally, still have certain competitiveness. The domestic market and the international market complement each other. If the domestic market is done well, they can enter the international market and win a certain market internationally and increase the competitiveness of the domestic market." Zhu Daidong said that he does not know much about locomotive manufacturing, but all products have such universality, especially for domestic companies. If they can win the international market and sell domestically, it will be easier for customers to trust when customers are trusted when they are sold domestically.

What's more, domestic rolling stock and vehicle factories have only one customer, that is the Ministry of Railways

However, the Ministry of Railways has been increasingly demanding for locomotives recently. Especially after the fifth speedup, the Ministry of Railways has already planned to import locomotives from abroad. This requires state-owned enterprises such as Muchuan Locomotive Vehicle Factory, which not only needs first-class technology, but also high-quality products to win more orders from the Ministry of Railways.

Finally, Zhu Daidong heard the report from the rolling stock factory, but he had greeted Gu Chuanxiang before. The report from the entire rolling stock factory must be finished within half an hour. He had to rush back to the working meeting of the Municipal Party Committee on the wholesale market in the morning. He did not attend. Although he knew the result, he still had to take time to communicate with Zhou Baoning.

"Mayor Zhu, how can I report it in half an hour?" Gu Chuanxiang said with some embarrassment that Zhu Daidonghua spent about three hours in the general factory and each branch factory, but he asked to listen to the report of the rolling stock factory within half an hour. This has never happened in the history of the rolling stock factory.

"This is your problem. After the meeting begins, it must be over thirty-five minutes. I have to rush back to the city to attend an important meeting," Zhu Daidong said firmly.

Originally, Gu Chuanxiang prepared a very detailed speech, but Zhu Daidong's request disrupted his plan. Fortunately, he was quite familiar with the situation in the factory. He removed some of the mandarin words and reported to Zhu Daidong the situation of the Muchuan Locomotive and Vehicle Factory and his future prospects to Zhu Daidong. Because Zhu Daidong is concerned about the locomotive export of the Locomotive and Vehicle Factory. When Gu Chuanxiang reported, he specially regarded the locomotive export of the Muchuan Locomotive and Vehicle Factory as a key task for the Locomotive and Vehicle Factory in the future.

After sending Zhu Daidong away, the director of the factory office came over to ask Gu Chuanxiang for instructions. What should I do if the banquet prepared by the motorcycle hotel was done? Because I knew that Zhu Daidong was coming today, the motorcycle factory made careful arrangements and knew that Zhu Daidong liked to drink Maotai, so I bought a batch of them urgently.

"Since you are ready, you still have to go and eat, but remember to replace the wine." Gu Chuanxiang thought for a while and said that although Zhu Daidong did not eat at the Locomotive and Vehicle Factory at noon, Gu Chuanxiang knew that Zhu Daidong did not have any opinions about the Locomotive and Vehicle Factory and listened to his actions. Gu Chuanxiang believed that Zhu Daidong was actually a very pragmatic leader. He hoped that Muchuan Locomotive and Vehicle Factory would take a different path under the leadership of Zhu Daidong in the future.
