37 Arrival and Vignette

The peaks standing at the end of the plain in the distance are towering into the clouds. A touch of snow-white on the top emits dazzling reflections under the sunlight, looking like a huge white gem standing on the top of the clouds, looking down at all directions.

There were dwarf soldiers leading the way in front of them, with a mountainside road at the foot, with dark mountains on one side and a cliff on the other side.

The still wide road is full of gravel, which makes the big-horned deer who are used to running in the woodland full of discomfort, gasping for breath, and making dull whimpering sounds from time to time.

Fortunately, the road was not too long. Walking on it, gradually, I began to spin down the slope and finally arrived at the plain at the foot of the mountain.

The plain is covered with green vegetation, and at the end is the towering and wide mountain.

The team rested for a while after getting off the mountain road, then continued to drive and headed towards the mountain.

The road to the dwarf city-state is close to the Aska River, one of the seven rivers.

The reason for the initial construction of this road was also to trade with the elves, but the targets were the Cinda tribes of Dorias and the Nodo tribes of the north.

The Dwarf Road can cross the Blue Mountains to the east, reach the two city-states of the Dwarf, and go west, and it is said that it can reach Dorias directly, which is unobstructed.

Now, along this road, the Nando elves finally arrived in front of Nogrod, the city-state of the Firebeard dwarf.

Nogrod was built in that mountain, and where the shadows in front of the mountain were covered, there was a square-like site.

The site is formed around a giant steel gate embedded deep on the surface of the mountain. The surface is covered with gray marble and is extremely flat.

There were short and bearded figures on it, either knocking on stones with hammers, or sitting on the ground to polish utensils. Charles even saw several dwarves dancing with some elves and quarrels.

Yes, there are elves here—and compared to remote forests where few outsiders visit, the dwarf city is very famous in Berryander.

They are also maintaining trade with the other two elves.

Dwarves generally have thick hair, both male and female dwarves, while the hair of the Firebeard tribe looks bright red like fire.

The character is not that gentle.

Along the way, they actually encountered many dwarf posts, and the team led by a group of dwarf soldiers, so they had a preliminary impression of this.

After the team arrived at this square, they were watched by all the dwarves and elves nearby and even on the square. The tall giant deer riders came to the group of short figures, obviously full of contrast.

It also made many dwarves show dissatisfaction on their faces.

However, this emotion suddenly subsided after discovering the color of the people. Instead, he looked at the elves teams moving forward in the center of the venue and took the initiative to give way.

This caused the surprise of several elves here, and I felt that the group of irritable dwarves seemed to have changed their temperament today...

However, what happened next made them have no time to pay attention to this.

In the distance, a black porcupine, held in the hand of a dwarf with a rope, suddenly became violent, ignored the restraints on his body, and panted and ran towards the rider wildly!

Although the porcupine is not as tall as a big horned deer, it is still more than one meter tall. At the same time, there are a large number of hedgehog-like thorns growing on its body. It is usually a giant, and even facing a big horned deer that is more than two meters tall is not worth it at all.

Because its body, wrapped in white spikes, is full of power all over its body!

As if he was stimulated, the porcupine ran towards the arrival elf frantically, regardless of how the two dwarves being pulled behind it shouted. The spikes on their bodies quickly relaxed and rushed towards the leader Shire without any slowdown.

The speed was too fast, and several dwarves around him flew away when they saw this but all rushed away. The team of dwarf soldiers leading the way in front seemed to be very afraid and hurriedly avoided.

Among the Julu rider, an elf saw this and drew an arrow and set a bow, aiming at the big guy who was approaching quickly.

However, this was stopped by Charles, and then he stared at the guy with red eyes lightly. He didn't see any movement, but he only heard a thud!

Under the surprised gaze of all the onlookers, the wild boar, which was violently behaved, fell a dog to bite in front of the white giant deer. The huge inertia made it slash from the hard surface more than two meters away, and finally, the majestic deer eyes looked down at its feet.

The porcupine's body trembled on the surface, and the painful puff sound seemed dull. The two short men chasing behind rushed over with their short legs. After looking at the deer riding team with puzzled expressions, they squatted down to drag the big guy covered in thorns out.

The porcupine struggled very hard about this, and the thorns on its body were so dangerous that even the two dwarves had thick arms and strong strength, and were a little busy. In the end, they had to turn to the dwarf soldiers who led the way for the elves.

Charles on the giant deer looked down at all this and said nothing. Until a group of dwarves successfully dragged the struggling porcupine out of the deer's head, he suddenly spoke: "Don't touch its nose, it hurts there."

Hearing this, the dwarves looked up at the big man in surprise, muttered a few difficult words to each other, and then looked down at the pig's nose.

Sure enough, except for the scars that were scratched by the fall before, there was also a sharp iron piece that was pierced in its nasal cavity.

After pulling out this thing, the porcupine struggled violently and then slowly calmed down.

Seeing this, one of them couldn't help but curse, obviously thinking of something. The other looked at Charles and finally spoke: "Thank you for your guests, I'm sorry."

His voice seemed dull and vague, and he simply spoke Cindalin, which Shire could understand.

So he gestured to his head, and then saw the two dwarves moving the road apart and couldn't help but pat the white deer on the neck.

The six or seven dwarf soldiers leading the way gathered together in front of them again. The white deer, more than two meters tall, began to walk towards the ancient and towering steel gate diagonally above, followed by dozens of slightly shorter giant deer riders.

Not only were the two dwarves holding pigs paying attention to this, but even other dwarves and even elves around the venue were looking at their backs. It was not until the elves knights arrived at the gate and left for the leader of the deer that they gradually converged their gaze.

"That's right, this should be the green elf at the foot of the mountain."

Some dwarfs muttered and subconsciously licked their lips. "The wine they brewed is simply delicious in the world."

"It's a pity that it's hard to drink." The dwarf next to him agreed regretfully.

This conversation attracted the attention of a gray-haired elf not far away. He was already thinking about why the leaders of the Nando tribe were so young and why they had black hair. He was even more puzzled when he heard the words Nando tribe and wine.

“Have the Nando people started brewing wine?”

The gray-haired elves had a vague impression of those forest tribes in the past, but they remembered that they were backward and vulgar, and even could only sing and hunt.

At present, he had changed his mind about this, and even felt a strong curiosity - no one, the team just now had a deep impression on him.

However, when he ran to ask the details of the two dwarf elves at the foot of the mountain, he only felt disappointed.

Dwarves are generally stingy and vigilant. It is too late to hide some things that they think are good things, so of course they cannot "share" them with others.
