chapter Five(1/2)
At ten o'clock in the evening, Qiu Yi changed his clothes, walked out of the back door of the hotel, stood next to the trash can at the back door, lit a cigarette, held it in his mouth, lowered his head and took out his cell phone.
There was a missed call on my phone that I called ten minutes ago. It was my dad's number, so he dialed the phone back.
The phone was answered after just a sound, and a tender voice rang out from there: "Brother."
"Qiu Yan? Why haven't you been asleep yet?" Qiu Yi frowned, "You called just now?"
"I'm already asleep, I'll give you a call in bed." Qiu Yan whispered.
"I'm going back now, you go to bed right away," Qiu Yi said. "You'll be done if you're still awake when I get home."
"I'm asleep now." Qiu Yan said quickly and hung up the phone.
Qiu Yi took two puffs of cigarettes, and there were a few nonsense from Zhang Xiaorong on his phone. He deleted it and when he put the phone back in his pocket, the sound of high heels came from behind him. When he turned around, he smelled the smell of perfume.
"Sister Man." He greeted the woman who walked out of the back door.
Sister Man's name is Xiao Man, she is in her thirties. She is one of the two owners of the hotel. She is responsible for the operation of the usual.
"Thank you for your hard work today," Xiao Man stopped and looked at him, "You are the one introduced by Zhang Ting a while ago, named Qiu Yi? I haven't talked to you yet."
Xiaoman has no airs and is very close to employees. He likes to hear people call her sister. He likes to chat with employees if he has nothing to do.
"Yes." Qiu Yi nodded, stood at Xiao Man's disadvantage by stepping a step, and pinched the cigarette in his hand.
"The smell of cigarettes is nothing," Xiao Man smiled, stared at him and looked at him again, "Where are you living in? I'll take you back."
"No need, I'll ride a bicycle..." Qiu Yi said.
"What kind of bicycle is riding with such a strong wind?" Shawman interrupted and patted him on his back. "Just throw the car into my car, go."
Before Qiu Yi could speak, Xiao Man had already turned around and walked towards the parking lot.
Qiu Yi frowned and followed her.
Xiaoman's car was a Toyota pickup truck. Qiu Yi couldn't even find a reason for "not being able to put the bicycle in the trunk", so he had to throw his car into the back pit and get into Xiaoman's car.
"Zhang Ting said you are in your second year of high school this year, right?" Xiao Man drove in the direction of his house.
"Yes." Qiu Yi responded.
"Is it hard to go to classes and work like this?" Xiao Man asked again.
"It's done," Qiu Yi looked out the window, "I don't feel it."
"Is it because a student has trouble working so hard?" Xiao Man turned his head and looked at him.
"Yes." Qiu Yi turned his face.
"If you have any difficulties, tell me that our hotel will help the employees who can help you." Xiao Man said.
"Thank you, Sister Man." Qiu Yi smiled.
"Young man doesn't like talking very much." Xiao Man continued to look at him with interest.
"It's cold." Qiu Yi turned his face out the window again.
This sentence made Xiao Man laugh for a long time, and finally reached out to pat his leg: "You are quite funny."
Qiu Yi's house is a bit far from the hotel. It is in a very old alley, and the location is good. My father has been waiting for demolition, but he has not made any move after waiting for more than ten years.
When I got home, the yard was very quiet and several households had turned off the lights.
He took out the key and opened the door. The light in the living room in his home was turned off. A small night light was on beside the door, and a few rays of light were faintly emitted from the crack of his dad's bedroom.
He didn't turn on the light, but gently pushed open the door of his father's bedroom and whispered, "I'm back."
"It's early than usual." My dad said in a wheelchair.
"Qiu Yan is asleep, just a little bit," Qiu Yi entered the bedroom and closed the door, "You should go to the bathroom too?"
"I've been there." Dad lowered his voice.
"Don't wait for me all the time. I might be able to go home." Qiu Yi pushed the wheelchair to the edge of the bed, and felt a pain under his ribs when he hugged his father on the bed. He gritted his teeth and put his father down before rubbing the position where the knee was injured in Bian Nan.
After closing the door of my father's bedroom, Qiu Yi entered his room and saw Qiu Yan lying on the pillow with half of his back exposed outside the quilt.
He walked over and bent down to stare at Qiu Yan's face. The little guy closed his eyes and his eyelashes trembled slightly.
"It's pretending." Qiu Yi said.
Qiu Yan didn't move, but his eyes closed, but his eyelashes trembled even harder.
"Next time, let me see that you didn't go to bed before 10 o'clock, and you won't have to go to bed anymore," said Qiu Yi.
"Then can't you come back early?" Qiu Yan opened his eyes and said a little aggrievedly.
"Don't pretend?" Qiu Yi squatted beside the bed, "I'll be back early. If you don't have any money in the future, will you push your dad out to beg for food?"
Qiu Yan bit his lip and buried his face in the pillow. After a while, his shoulder twitched slightly.
"Cry?" Qiu Yi got up and took off his clothes, changed into a T-shirt, opened the door and walked out, "I'll take a shower and give you ten minutes to cry."
When Qiu Yi finished washing and returned to the house, Qiu Yan was still lying on the pillow, but he was no longer crying.
He turned off the light, got on the bed, lay down beside Qiu Yan, reached out and slapped him on the butt: "Come here, brother, hug him."
Qiu Yan quickly turned over and got into his arms and hugged his waist.
"Oh," Qiu Yi hid, "Don't press my ribs, it hurts."
"Brother," Qiu Yan buried his face in his arm, with a nasal voice, "You're fighting again."
"I didn't do it first," Qiu Yi hugged Qiu Yan, and his angry eyes flashed before him. He smiled, "I just owe something."
"I got a little red flower today, and I got full marks in the math test." Qiu Yan said in a low voice, with a smug voice.
"Is that so? It's so amazing," Qiu Yi sat up, took out his wallet from the coat beside the bed, took out a steel, put it in the piggy bank at the head of the bed, and bounced it on Qiu Yan's face, "Go to bed quickly."
The two-day morning on the weekend is Qiu Yan’s happiest time. Qiu Yi usually attends classes during the day and works at night. He also has to give some junior high school children a few tutors on two afternoons on weekends. The only time he can stay with him is on weekend mornings.
From the beginning of the morning when Qiu Yi got up and went out to buy breakfast, he followed Qiu Yi like a shadow, talking nonstop about school affairs, what the teacher said, what the deskmate said, and how he talked about it without stopping.
Qiu Yi usually doesn't talk, and he can continue talking from time to time.
Qiu Yi sat in the yard to play with him all morning, pinching plasticine and drawing. At about noon, Qiu Yan rubbed his nose, hesitated for a moment, and said, "Brother, I want to eat jerky."
"Okay," Qiu Yi took out his cell phone and looked at the time. Usually he didn't let Qiu Yan eat snacks, but he would relax on weekends. "Take you to buy it."
There is a small supermarket at the entrance of the alley. Qiu Yan was a little confused when standing in front of the snack shelf. He couldn't choose between beef jerky and tofu skin.
"Everyone wants to eat, can you buy it?" He asked Qiu Yi with a raised face.
"No, choose one." Qiu Yi answered very simply.
"Then don't you eat it?" Qiu Yan was a little depressed.
"Don't eat it." Qiu Yi said.
"I want it all." Qiu Yan pulled his pants.
Qiu Yi turned around and walked towards the supermarket door.
"Beef jerky beef jerky beef jerky..." Qiu Yan quickly shouted behind him in a series of calls.
"Big or small?" Qiu Yi walked back to the air.
"Big." Qiu Yan pointed to the kind of big bag.
"Do you still have to eat at noon?" Qiu Yi smiled and took a big bag to pay the money.
"Eat." Qiu Yan happily followed him and jumped behind him.
Bian Nan and Wan Fei slept until noon before being woken up by Wan Fei’s mother slapped the door and said, “It’s time to eat! Don’t sleep! I really doubt whether you usually sleep at school!”
"Sleep..." Bian Nan stretched his waist and kicked Wan Fei a few times, "I just couldn't sleep enough..."
Wan Fei was almost kicked out of bed by him, sighed and sat up.
"Is there any information?" Wan Fei saw Bian Nan's cell phone thrown on the bedside table flashing with lights, took it over and took a look, "Oh Zhang Xiaorong?"
"Give it!" Bian Nan snatched the phone.
Zhang Xiaorong sent him a WeChat message half an hour ago. Bian Nan wanted to hear it, but he held his phone in his ear and stopped again, looking at Wan Fei.
Wan Fei was waiting, and when he saw him like this, he lifted the quilt wrapped around him in annoyance: "What's wrong? Are you afraid that I will hear someone rejecting you?"
"Damn, don't be hooligan. Haven't you seen enough when taking a shower..." Bian Nan pulled his underwear and laughed a little again, "If I really get rejected, it's the first time in my life. You can witness it."
"Okay." Wan Fei clenched his ears.
Bian Nan pressed to listen, and Zhang Xiaorong's gentle voice came from her phone: "How are you hurt?"
"Fuck!" Wan Fei roared, "Damn!"
Bian Nan was also stunned. This gentle greeting instantly wiped out his previous dissatisfaction with Zhang Xiaorong. He glanced at Wan Fei and said to his phone: "It's okay, what are you doing?"
"Is it the sun or the moon coming out today?" Wan Fei ran to the window and opened the curtains, "It's the sun... Did you feel guilty when you saw her that day?"
"What's guilty? I'm not her," Bian Nan threw his phone aside, jumped off the bed, put on his clothes and ran into the living room, shouting at Wan Fei's mother, "Auntie!"
"Come on your face and eat, it's already a bit of a meal. Why don't I ask you two, I won't be ready to have a meal today?" Wan Fei's mother said with a smile.
After eating a large table of dishes made by Wan Fei's mother, Bian Nanban lay on the sofa, holding his cell phone in his hand and throwing it away.
