Chapter 1 The Black Coffin

July 15th, Zhongyuan Festival, commonly known as the Ghost Festival.

The sky was shrouded in clouds and mist, and the sky was gloomy, with only a moon hanging in the sky. The moon seemed to be seeping blood, looking extremely terrifying.

In the forest, because there is no wind, willows, poplars, and other kinds of trees, they stand everywhere in the mountains, just like tall and slender people standing there, terrible quiet, and from time to time, only some small beasts in the mountains are chirping.

Hanjia Village at the foot of the mountain.

Hanjia Village is located at the foot of this nameless mountain. According to legend, it was in the late Qing Dynasty that the people in the city were displaced. The Han clan fled from a city that was destroyed by war. The ancestors saw that this place was remote, so they took root here. In this blink of an eye, they lived here for hundreds of years.

Since ancient times, July 15th has been the day with the heaviest yin energy. The so-called "Yin people go on the road, Yang people avoid it." On this day, the gate of ghosts opened wide, and many deceased people would come back to visit relatives, and the evil ghosts that exist in the world would take advantage of the chaos and commit evil, and take lives will happen. Of course, this is just a rumor, whether it is true or false, I have never seen it.

"Grandpa, are you saying true?" A dirt house in Hanjia Village was brightly lit. Han Buyu blinked his lively eyes and stared at the old man who was already gray-haired in front of him.

Grandpa smiled and touched Han Buyu's head, "Child, these are stories, how could it be true? It's better to go to bed early and develop a good body. Grandpa's body can't clean up the crops for a few years!" As he said that, Grandpa looked at Han Buyu in front of him with a doting look.

With a smile, a sigh slipped through my grandfather's eyes. Han Buyu's family was originally very happy, but ten years ago, Han Buyu's parents never came out after entering the mountains because they helped a group of people who claimed to be archaeological. So far, only grandfather and Han Buyu depended on each other for their lives, and lived a very hard life.

Just as my grandfather was about to coax Han Buyu to fall asleep, the lights outside the window were brightly lit and the fire came in, and then a knock on the door sounded, "Lao Qi, Lao Qi has something big to do! Come out quickly!" An old voice came over, and while the sound came, there was a rustling whispering sound.

Hearing the sound, Grandpa frowned slightly and stood up, "Don't speak, you lie down first, and Grandpa will come back later." After that, Grandpa stood up and went outside the door.

"What's wrong with Brother Fifth?" When my grandfather opened the door, he saw that there were more than 20 villagers standing outside the door, and was also stunned, thinking that something big could have happened, right?

"Lao Qi, on the mountain, Hu Zi found something after going up the mountain. He had already brought about thirty villagers up there and was waiting for us old guys to go! Similarly, it was a white-haired old man, wearing a cloth robes and holding a torch in his hand.

Grandpa looked back at Han Buyu who was lying on the bed, then closed the door and followed the villagers up the mountain.

The night is dark and the wind is high, and the blood moon is in the sky, and the air is stuffy and makes people feel a little breathless.

Because Hanjia Village is at the foot of the mountain, in less than 40 minutes, the group of villagers had already reached the depths of the mountain.

At this time, there were bright fires in front of me, and about thirty middle-aged people, most of them men. They stood there with torches in their hands, and four or five were gathered in the middle, as if they were watching something.

"Uncle Fifth, Uncle Seventh, you are here, uncles and aunts." A middle-aged man standing in the center turned his head and smiled.

"Tell me quickly, what did you find, Hu Zi?" At this time, the old man, who was called Uncle Fifth, gasped for two consecutive breaths and asked.

Hu Zi is the middle-aged man who talks.

Upon hearing Uncle Wu's words, Hu Zi signaled to let the other people around the center go aside. Then, a mouthful of extremely dark things were exposed.

After everyone saw the thing clearly, they all took a breath, and it seemed like a black coffin!

"This... Hu Zi, where did you find this thing?" After seeing the thing, the grandfather, who had not spoken, frowned tightly.

"What I saw when I was patrolling the mountain just now was probably the heavy rain the day before yesterday." Hu Zi pointed to the distance.

"Hurry up and notify the police." When he heard Hu Zi's words, his grandfather turned around and said to other middle-aged people.

"Don't, Uncle Qi, let's open this thing first. Will you let the police come after you finish reading it? Will it not delay the trouble?" When Hu Zi heard that his grandfather was looking for the police, he pulled the middle-aged man who was about to go down the mountain.

"Nothing! Can we move this thing? Go and find the police!" Grandpa scolded Hu Zi's words.

"Lao Qi, just open it and take a look. If there is really someone with status here, then we will be known here. I think some villages have become resorts." At this time, the old man who was called Uncle Wu, who was standing next to his grandfather, persuaded him.

"No, fifth brother, why are you messing around with these little kids? It's better to notify the police of this thing!" Grandpa said that and was about to step forward.

"Just open it and look for the police. Uncle Qi, don't be so pedantic!" Seeing that grandpa was really serious, Hu Zi stepped forward and pushed the lid of the black coffin. However, the lid was too heavy and he couldn't push it open by himself.

"Old Bi, what are you waiting for? Push it open with me, or Uncle Qi really wants to tell the police!" Seeing that he couldn't push it away, he quickly said to the middle-aged man next to him.

The middle-aged man was also very curious about this thing. He grabbed the cover of the coffin with both hands, tightened the chassis, and Hu Zi held his breath, exerted force on his waist, and actually pushed the lid of the coffin open.

It was almost time for me to say that, just as the lid of the coffin was pushed open, the branches around that were originally motionless began to robe, and the black clouds in the sky also started to flow rapidly.

"Grandpa, Fifth Grandpa, what are you doing?" At this time, a childlike voice came.

The person who spoke was not someone else, but Han Buyu, who should have been waiting for his grandfather to come back at home.

"Buyu, what are you doing?" Grandpa didn't expect his grandson to come with him and said angrily.

"I... grandpa, I just want to come and have a look..." Han Buyu blinked his huge eyes, but before he could finish speaking, he heard a loud "boom" coming from the sky.

The thunder rang through the sky, and the sudden loud noise shocked everyone present.

After a moment, Hu Zi was the first to react.

He turned his head and patted Lao Bi on the opposite side, "What are you thinking? Look at what's in it." After saying that, he slowly turned his head and looked inside.

And the moment he turned his head and looked inside, his heart beat rapidly and his face turned pale. He saw that there was a corpse wearing a red hair in ancient official uniforms lying inside the coffin.

Looking at the corpse, Hu Zi moved his throat and swallowed.

His gaze slowly moved downwards. Suddenly, he saw a jade Ruyi on the chest of the corpse. This jade Ruyi was extremely transparent, and what was even more surprising was that there was a large piece of bright red in the center of the jade Ruyi. This bright red thing seemed to be blood, which completely attracted Hu Zi's attention.

His brain stopped thinking at the thing, "How much is this...this thing worth?"

"Nothing! Stop quickly! You are breaking the law!" At this time, grandpa didn't scold Han Buyu. He was furious after seeing Hu Zi and Lao Bi pushing open the lid of the coffin.

"Uncle Qi, have you not lived enough hard life? Look at what this is? It's enough for us to plant it for ten lifetimes!" Hu Zi's eyes were covered with bloodshot and full of madness. He reached into the coffin with one hand and took out the jade Ruyi on the chest of the corpse.

"Boom!" Almost at the same time, a thunder fell from the sky and slashed directly on the black coffin...
