Chapter 21 Honggel

"Captain Hu, since you are leading your troops to join our army, the number of the Northeast Volunteer Independent Brigade cannot be used anymore."

Although some people said that they were the Jinsui Army, they had already hung the blue sky and white sun flags, and the state gave military uniforms and paid the government. They were the national army recognized by the government! Although the Northeast Volunteers were very famous, they were a civilian armed force that was not recognized by the government.

Fu Zuoyi is a second-level general appointed by the Military Commission. Every unit under his command is a regular army with a formal number. If Hu Fei wants to surrender, the first step is to change the number! That is to accept the adaptation.

"The last general is up to General Fu!" Hu Fei understood that if he came to surrender to others, he would have to be under the control of others! Anyway, he would be a formal national army from now on! Fu Zuoyi, do whatever you want! Hu Fei is ready to be a soldier in the Jinsui Army.

Hu Fei was ready, but Fu Zuoyi was not ready! For the extremely suspicious army led by Hu Fei, General Fu had no intention of disrupting them and joining the various units of the Jinsui Army! He was afraid that Hu Fei and his group would destroy the Jinsui Army!

"Captain Hu, since you were the independent brigade of the Northeast Volunteer Army, then I will now appoint you as the independent cavalry brigade of the 35th Army of the National Revolutionary Army. Your independent brigade of the Volunteer Army will be changed to the independent cavalry brigade of the 35th Army! You will lead your troops to rest here for two days to replenish food and supplies. Two days later, lead your troops to garrison near Honggertu, Northeast China!"

General Fu said, number, supplies, and all the resident were solved! The general had the courage of a general, and was clean and neat, and would never delay the situation!

This appointment received by Fu Zuoyi can be said to be the most satisfying thing for Hu Fei. In order to show his respect for General Fu, Hu Fei gave Fu Zuoyi a military salute, "Thank you for your support!"

As soon as these half-text and half-blank words were spoken, it was obvious that Fu Zuoyi's mouth trembled twice. Maybe he wanted to laugh but controlled him but didn't laugh?

Anyway, no matter what, the meeting between the two people is quite complete today. General Fu led his troops back to the city, and Hu Fei set up a simple camp tent on the spot to collect supplies. General Fu kept his word, and early the next morning, a military officer came out of the city with several big carts.

Brand new military uniforms, boxes of ammunition, food for people to eat, fodder for horses, and supplies used by a cavalry unit are all available. After signing the material collection form, these things are considered Hu Fei’s!

As soon as the quarantine officer left, Hu Fei ordered the camp to set up a village. He wanted to lead his independent cavalry brigade to the new garrison, Honggertou!

Honggertu said it was a town, but it was actually a village. At most, it was a large village. It was surrounded by wasteland and meadows. Honggertu had garrisons, and more than 200 cavalrymen of the Shanxi-Suizhou Army were stationed here. When Hu Fei brought 500 cavalry, it was equivalent to Honggertu's garrisons becoming the main one!

The Jinsui cavalry stationed in Honggertou had two and a half companies, plus half a machine gun company. The highest commander of the garrison was a 30-year-old young officer named Shen Han.

It is the ninth month of the lunar calendar in the 25th year of the Republic of China, and the end of October of the Gregorian calendar. The weather in Suibei was already very cold, and it might snow within ten days and half a month. In August, the Japanese and puppet troops invaded Honggeertu once, but were defeated by the Jinsui army. Most of the battalions led by Shen Han were to prevent the Japanese and puppet troops from attacking Honggeertu again.

The first thing Hu Fei saw when he came was a labor scene. Hundreds of people rolled up their sleeves and digged trenches around the village with hoes! Are they going to follow the village’s defense and turn this small village into a battle fortress?

Hu Fei brought five hundred people at once and stood next to Honggertu's village. It seemed that the village could not accommodate them. Of course, Hu Fei would not lead the troops to the village. Isn't it affecting the lives of the villagers when they live in the village?

Battalion Commander Chen Han came over directly with two guards. He came from a distance and saluted him. Battalion Commander Chen didn't say much nonsense, but told Hu Fei directly: Since you are here with the large army, the defensive tasks in the village will be handed over to you, and I'll make room for you!

Chen Han could see clearly that he had only more than 200 people here, and there were 500 new cavalry brigades. It was obvious who was the master and who was the deputy! Since General Fu could send such a unit, it was not obvious that he had to change defenses.

"Battlefield Commander Chen is too worried!" Hu Fei waved his hand and directly interrupted Chen Han's continued words, "The garrison in Honggertu is you, you used to be you, and you will be you in the future! Don't think that I'm coming to steal your garrison, no! General Fu just asked me to garrison near Honggertu, but he didn't say that my cavalry brigade would take over your defense zone!"

Hu Fei was just here, and he didn't want to rob the leader and compete with others for territory. Of course, if the garrison here was tough, Hu Fei wouldn't mind playing around with the magpie's nest. Now that he has taken the initiative to propose, he is embarrassed. This is the habit developed during the beard, and he is not strong!

Chen Han refused again and stopped refusing, and he did not refusal again and again. Since Hu Fei was unwilling to settle in the village, you can find any place near the village. You can live anywhere you want to stay in dozens or hundreds of miles around here!

Hu Fei is quite knowledgeable about camping. He has read military books and fought wars. He chose a place not far from the village to set up a camp, and then began his career as a garrison. He practiced troops every day, and sometimes he would go to the village to discuss military information, or make specific suggestions for digging trenches. His life was pretty good.

In November, Wang Ying's Han rebel army began to gather in the southeast Shangdu. Honggertu's defenders began to step up the arrangement of fortifications. With Hu Fei's temper, he was not a person who could hold the treasury and strengthen the military camp. If he could strengthen the military camp, he was already very patient.

A large number of Japanese and puppet troops gathered in the mall, and the battle between Honggertu was covered with clouds. A war seemed to start at any time. Chen Han, as a guard officer, immediately telegraphed the situation to the top of the peak. Within two days, the commander of the Second Cavalry Brigade, Peng Yubin, came to Honggertu in person.

Brigade Commander Peng inspected the defense, cordially received Hu Fei and Shen Han, and praised Honggertou's village trenches. Finally, after adding a batch of weapons and ammunition to the defenders of Honggertou, Brigade Commander Peng told the two front-line defenders that Peng Yubin himself would serve as the commander of the front-line battle of Honggertou!
