Twenty-two, training military pride

journal:

December 24, 1979 (Sunny)

"Of the more than 100 new recruits, four squads are urban soldiers, one is our squad, the children of educated youth or employees from the S farm, one is from Chongmingbao Town, one is from JS Haimen, and the other is from FJ Quanzhou. It should be said that urban soldiers are more receptive than rural soldiers after all, and I want to declare that I have no intention of underestimating rural soldiers, but from the training effect, our four squads are always among the top, and we are praised by the company leaders the most. Therefore, we are secretly competing. Every time we have a fuck in the company, we work hard to surpass each other. Gradually, our four squads were divided into high and low, and finally became our class and the ninth squad in Chongmingbao Town, but it was still difficult to distinguish high and low, but that was enough, and we were all very proud."

Joyfulness is an initiative to test the training results of the recruits company, it is also an occasion to show the style and image of soldiers, and it is also an opportunity for young people to compete with each other and compete. Therefore, every time a meeting with the company is held, it will be particularly lively.

We were very nervous when we were fucking for the first time. The squad leader repeatedly told everyone to relax and show the things we usually trained normally. Don’t think too much. But when we arrived at the training ground, we looked at the leader of the Lian sitting upright on the rostrum and the majestic military music played on the loudspeaker. The nerves all over our body were very tense, the muscles were very stiff, and some even their legs were trembling slightly.

After asking the company commander for instructions, the platoon leader announced that the new recruit company meeting had officially begun.

The first is the class movement exercises carried out in class units, starting from one class, one class after another, with the squad leader of each class as the on-site command.

We are the last class in the entire company, which gives us a lot of time to observe the movements of the brother classes, and our nervous moods calm down. When it is our turn to go, we are no longer nervous. We also have a clear judgment and comparison of the level of the exercises of each class, so we feel confident to compete with other classes.

Under the leadership of the squad leader, we ran on the field with confidence. Under the gaze of all the officers and soldiers of the company, we completed the basic movements of soldiers such as the prescribed standing attentively, resting, turning left, right, backward, and stopping and walking in a row, walking in a row, running and other basic movements.

Then, the company commander issued another instruction, requiring two soldiers from each squad to take turns to conduct individual drills. Obviously, the company commander wanted to see how high the top students of each squad were. But we don’t know who is the top player in the mind of the squad leader, only the squad leader themselves knew. The deputy squad leader Qin Zhongfa and No. 1 Model Feng Wenquan, who were named by the squad leader, were brought out to practice by the squad leader. This is common sense in the army queue. Generally, the most standard and most vivid actions are placed in the ranks, which are often called the vanguard.

It was natural to choose Qin Zhongfa. He was the assistant of the squad leader. He usually had strict requirements on himself and worked hard in training. The squad leader trusted him and felt relieved. Feng Wenquan won the favor of the squad leader with his tall and burly appearance and good military posture. They did not disappoint the squad leader's kindness. In the individual training, he completed all subjects with strong and powerful movements and a stable mentality. He was recognized by the platoon leader of each platoon, including Gu Qing from the 9th squad and Gu Guoping, the new recruits in the Fort Town.

Whenever these model soldiers were named by the company commander and under the personal command of the company, they demonstrated the movements of the queues that had been taught to the entire company, these elites all had a sense of pride and accepted the envious gaze of the new recruits in the entire company. We generally believe that these model soldiers will definitely have a good destination when they divide their troops in the future.

As the difficulty of training continues to increase, the frequency of exercise is also increasing, and it is becoming a situation where we young soldiers secretly compete. Even if there are some minor frictions, everyone will say: "If you have the ability, we will see the level of the training ground."

Collective movements based on classes do not necessarily require everyone to have outstanding training levels, but the key is to emphasize the coordination of body coordination and consistent pace. The movement frequency and movement of more than a dozen people should be completed like one person. This is the core of the key.

As mentioned in the diary of that year, in the basic training of the army, the characteristics of urban soldiers with high culture, strong acceptance ability, and fast reaction were gradually demonstrated. Finally, the four classes recognized by the entire company with the best class exercise level were almost all mainly urban soldiers. Our 12th and 19th squads represent the squads and their comrades from JS Haimen and FJ Quanzhou respectively launched tense and fierce competitions and competitions again and again in the training ground.

Even the four classes are often pulled out to show everyone intentionally or unintentionally. Every time we keep our nerves tight and try to show our best state and level.

At the beginning, most of us competed with each other out of the competitive spirit and unyielding spirit of young people. We did not regard this as a necessary training subject for a soldier to develop good habits. Perhaps more vanity is at the risk of being blamed.

But over time, we began to have a further understanding of the queue exercises. Whenever we walked past our comrades with strong and uniform movements, the masculine beauty of soldiers made us burst into blood, shocked, and proud, and had a different understanding of the title of the Great Wall of Steel.

The subject of training today is "Steping", which is an action that best reflects the spirit of our army. Everyone is very excited. Since joining the army, the feeling of military training has been completely dissipated. After all, we are all passionate men and always want to show the most masculine side. For this reason, we all devoted ourselves to the stomping training with unprecedented passion.

However, after the training began, we realized that it was very difficult to make masculine and uniform pedaling movements. We started with decomposition movements one step at a time. Each step must be strong and powerful, with strong arms swinging, kicking up straight, and straight waist. After a long time, our legs became swollen, our arms were sore, and we were dizzy, but I still tried to overcome them. I secretly warned myself: You are a soldier, you must persist, persist, and then persist, because only by hard training, strict requirements on yourself, strictly abide by the playground discipline, sweat more often, you can bleed less in the future. Come on, comrade!

Step by step:

Come and stop and kick your legs quickly.

The key to walking one step and two steps:

The kicking and swinging arms are positioned at the same time, the kicking and the legs are stopped at the same time, and the kicking and folding arms are both violently.

As I wrote in my diary back then, walking in a straight line is indeed the move that best reflects the style of a soldier. The overwhelming momentum makes every soldier excited. However, it is very difficult to train and has a great intensity. It is not a matter of one day or one night to achieve a uniform effect.

Step by step is the first decomposition movement of a regular step. In order to cultivate the balance and coordination of the body, the squad leader will deliberately delay time every time he performs a decomposition movement, so that we can maintain a single-leg independent posture, and the balance of the upper body is maintained by the movement behind the swing of the arm. It is like walking a tightrope, the upper body stretches and swings up and down to maintain balance.

When the squad leader shouted, "A step, one", I followed the movement of the movement and kept my left foot off the ground and kept my breath and tried my best to control my body's shaking. But the squad leader just didn't shout "2". Soon, my body couldn't hold back and started to shake left and right, and the footboards were up and down, and the wrists that swung their arms sank down. I looked at the squad leader with a eager look and said, "Squad leader, I won't be able to hold on."

The squad leader told us: "If this most basic balanced movement is not done well, the leg standing independently will shake during the coherent movements behind it, and such a military posture cannot be beautiful."

I was almost doing one step and one exercise for the left and right feet for a morning. My arms were numb and my legs were swollen.

During the afternoon training, I shouted to the squad leader: "Let's teach us coherent movements in the afternoon. What's the point of doing decomposition movements? I'm so tired."

The squad leader smiled and said, "I can't even do decomposition, so I just want to reach the sky in one step."

Zhou Yousheng, who was standing beside him, also cheered: "Yes, squad leader, we have a good brain. If you don't believe it, please let us try it."

The squad leader thought for a while and said, "Okay, since you want to walk straight, then we'll give it a try."

When the brother class heard that our class was going to walk in a coherent and straight manner, they all came around to watch. The platoon leader looked at us without saying a word, while the other two squad leader looked at us with a smile and hugged his chest.

We were in a row with twelve people. After briefly explaining the key points of the movement, the squad leader ran to the left side of the team. He glanced at us with his eyes, and an undetectable smile appeared on the corner of his mouth. Then he shouted loudly: "There are all, walk in a straight line!"

After hearing the commander of the squad leader, we started to take regular steps with our legs and swing our arms. But we never thought that the arrogance effect that I had seen in the army since I was a child was in the movie. When we heard the messy steps that were slashing, everyone made different movements. Some of them were too big, and their fists collided with other people's fists. The pain both of them made a cry at the same time: "Oh, you hit my hand."

The comrades in the platoon couldn't help laughing when they saw us walking in a mess. Strangely, the squad leader didn't stop until we reached the end and laughed and shouted, "Let's settle!"

After turning around, we looked at the dozens of people in the queue and smiled together, and we felt a sense of fishy smell on our faces.

Everyone began to point their fingers at me: "It's all you, what can you do? If it's so easy to do, why do you have to do the recruit company? You can just be assigned to the company."

My face turned red and I accepted the accusations from my comrades speechlessly, and sweat appeared on my head.

The platoon leader walked over and said, "Okay, don't blame him. In fact, why didn't you stop you? I just want to tell everyone with facts that seemingly simple movements are the result of strict training. It is impossible to eat a big fat man in one bite. Or should I honestly start from the basics and do every move carefully."

Only then did I realize that to be a good soldier, I must lay a solid foundation, and I also understood the meaning of the squad leader knowing that we would make fools but still let us do it. The facts proved that I was wrong.
