The old monk said calmly: "I did this just to repent. And the cause and effect of you are only to you, not related to others."
The monk said angrily: "What about you, Master?! Haven't you killed someone before?"

The old monk stood with one hand: "Amitabha, no matter whether my cause or effect is reached or not, I have regarded it calmly."

The old monk replied: "When the Buddha was about to enter the death, Venerable Ananda asked me: 'Who will the Buddha be the teacher after the Buddha entered the death?' The Buddha said: 'Take precepts as the teacher'. It can be seen that the importance of precepts. Your fault... is not that you kill 'him', but that you kill and break the precepts of killing. Now that your precepts have been eliminated, it is like water overturning and breaking the mirror and it is useless no matter how much you repent."
Hearing this, Yang Yuhan couldn't help but feel a little confused, because if Xiaofeng was the one who was victimized, they should have mentioned the word "girl" when they spoke. But after hearing this, it seemed that he was killing another person, which also made Yang Yuhan breathe a little relieved.

The great monk said sternly: "Haha, the Bodhisattva once said, I won't go to hell... Who will go to hell! I did this just to save him and let him get rid of his troubles as soon as possible."
The old monk sighed again: "Hey, you have been very intelligent since childhood, but you have also been harmed by wisdom. You only care about learning those supernatural powers, but you never listen to them devoutly. The words said by Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva were to accept the Buddha's trust at that time, so he made a great vow of 'Hell is not empty, and you will not become a Buddha; only by saving all sentient beings can you achieve Bodhi'. With your own power, you will appear in the six realms, set aside convenience and save suffering sentient beings. Before you save yourself, you will learn from the Bodhisattva to save people. This kind of trick is done by the devil's way."
The monk laughed furiously: "Hahaha... Since my disciple has entered the devil's way, why not be lenient to me with the mercy of my master?"
The old monk said quietly, "I have never dared to say that I am compassionate. With my stupidity, I only seek to stop and keep myself and self-discipline. If sentient beings see that I can feel something and thus pursue all kinds of goodness, it is only the virtue of my Buddha and the virtue of sentient beings."
The monk said angrily: "Okay! Even if the master only wants to save himself, what about the Buddha? What about the Bodhisattva? As soon as I was born, I was abandoned by my parents, went to recognize my relatives and was humiliated. The insidious villain urged me to drink wine, which made me eventually make a big mistake. Where are they at these times? Why don't they come to save me?" After speaking, there seemed to be a little aggrieved.
The old monk paused and said, "All the sufferings you have suffered are the tests of the Buddha for you. When you were still a baby, the Buddha sympathized with your incompetence, so he led me to you, taught you supernatural powers, and taught you Buddhism, which was a way to deal with them. Unexpectedly, you did not use it well. You first became obsessed with appearances, went to recognize your relatives, lost your mind, easily bewitched by others, and got caught in the three fires (greed, anger, and ignorance). You became malicious about the kind donor, and finally broke the killing precepts and harmed the young master. Now your karma is too heavy, and you still want to observe with your appearance, seek with your voice, and have a bad reputation, so you will naturally not see my Buddha."
The great monk smiled contemptuously and said, "Haha, if my Buddha is truly compassionate, I should have left me alone and let me die directly, and I will not leave these many disasters behind. He did this clearly because he was harming people and me. It would be better if I didn't see this Buddha!"
The old monk shook his head slightly: "Hey, if you don't observe your own heart, no one can see it."
The monk shouted angrily: "You don't want to, so you can't see me!"
The old monk sighed and said, "The Buddha said, 'appearance is born from the heart'. With my heart, I see your appearance, which makes me merciful. With your heart, I see all living beings, all of them are demons."
The great monk sneered, "Haha, who is the demon? The Buddha said that the demon is a demon, and the demon said that the Buddha is also a demon. You always say that you should keep it, do whatever evil is done, and do all good, but this good is only your good, and this evil is only your evil! Your evil is good to the demon, and your good becomes evil to the demon. This is like water and fire, what is right or wrong?!"
The old monk was slightly stunned when he heard this, and after a moment he said, "Since you have entered my Buddhism, you should regard the good of Buddhism as good and the evil of Buddhism as bad. But now you have broken your views and the Buddhist temple has left you unavailable."
