Chapter 3 The Cursed Bloodline

It took about eleven hours to get from Ordis to Heimdal by train. There was nothing to do during the trip. Ryan simply started chatting with the talkative and gentle uncle in front of him.

After introducing each other, Ryan learned about the identity of the uncle. The middle-aged man named Carl Regniz was a tax officer in the Empire Heimdal. This time he was ordered to go to Heidu Ordis to collect the taxes paid to the royal family in the Lamar State this year.

Usually, such tax-collecting official positions are more likely to offend people, but Uncle Carl can't see any trace of the iron-faced tax officer. He always kept a gentle smile on his face and talked to Ryan, an eight-year-old child.

Carl was also very curious about the child in front of him. He should have seen the other party’s words and behaviors as a noble child who had received a good education since childhood, but he didn’t know why he boarded the guide train to the imperial capital alone.

Although Ryan used the excuse to say that he was visiting relatives, just like the enthusiastic young lady of the ticket seller, with Carl's experience, you can see that the child is full of nonsense. Whose child is visiting relatives without an adult being by his side?

‘Go back and ask someone to help me ask which noble family left home to play with the kids.’

Ryan got on the train from Ordis train station at 8 pm after supper. The child was drowsy. After spending his initial excitement, he was already drowsy before ten o'clock in the evening.

Seeing that Ryan's little head had begun to nod frequently, Uncle Carl tactfully advised him to go to bed and rest early.

"Lian, go to bed first. The time to arrive in the imperial capital will be around 7 a.m. If you don't get up, I will wake you up."

Ryan's brain was completely occupied by sleepy bugs at this time. After saying good night to Uncle Carl in a daze, he climbed up to the bedside and fell asleep.

Carl covered Ryan with a kind smile on his face, and seeing this child always reminded him of his young boy who was one year younger than Ryan.

‘Haha, these children are the hope for the future of the empire.’

The next morning, Ryan woke up from his sleep at around 6 o'clock in the morning because he slept early yesterday.

Uncle Carl, who had woken up for some time, smiled and said hello to him, "Good morning, Ryan, did you sleep well last night?"

"Uncle Regniz? You might not have been sleeping all night, right?"

"Haha, how is that possible? It's just that adults sleep less. I've been used to it for about five hours."

Mr. Programmer, who often worked overtime in his previous life, nodded in a slight sense of heart and said, "So that's it. It seems that your job is not easy, uncle."

After having the standard breakfast provided by the Guilin Train, the train finally arrived at the train station in the Imperial Capital Heimdal at 7:05 in the morning.

After leaving the train station, Ryan was stunned by the scenery of the imperial capital that was completely different from Ordis.

"This...it really makes people see the origin of the name Crimson Emperor Capital at a glance."

The imperial architecture in front of Ryan looks like a typical fantasy world ancient architecture, and its style is closer to the Rococo architecture that Ryan knew in his previous life.

The key point is that most of these buildings are composed of red exterior walls, and you can see a majestic red palace at a glance from the end of the street that extends from the train station.

Uncle Carl smiled and said, "It looks shocking, right? People who come to the imperial capital for the first time usually have the same reaction as you."

"The palace in the distance is the Balfreme Palace where the royal family of Yanor lives. There is also a square of the famous continental land in front of the palace. If you are interested, I can take you around."

Ryan hurriedly shook his head and refused, "No, Uncle Regniz, you should be very busy at work. Thank you for your care on the train. It's time for me to find relatives."

"etc……"

Before Carl could hold him back, Ryan had already entered the crowd and quickly disappeared with his petite figure.

Carl scratched his head in distress, "Ah... it's hard to deal with now. In short, go back and ask which noble family in Haidu has a missing child."

According to Uncle Carl's introduction yesterday, the population of the imperial capital Heimdal is about 800,000.

Although it is nothing to Ryan, who is used to living in a large city with tens of millions of people, it is already quite amazing in this sparsely populated fantasy world. The population of the imperial capital is the largest of all cities in the entire Sisemlia continent.

Leaving the bustling crowd in front of the train station, Ryan was excitedly planning to plan the tourist route in front of the giant city map that was hanging not far away.

But just after taking a few steps, Ryan suddenly felt his heart beat sharply.

The clear sound of "dongdong" could even make everyone around him hear it clearly, and at the same time, an inexplicable sense of heat began to come from his body.

"Forehead!"

Ryan, who was covering his chest, knelt on the ground with a look of pain. Some commotion arose among the tourists who also came to watch the map. Several kind-hearted aunts and uncles surrounded him and care about Ryan's physical condition.

But at this time Ryan could not hear or see anything, and his consciousness was completely immersed in a blood-red mist.

There seemed to be something hidden in the hazy mist, but Ryan, who had increasingly obvious chest pain, had no time to pay attention.

‘Here comes again… This is what my father calls the noble orthodox emperor’s bloodline? This is clearly the cursed bloodline…’

Just as Ryan completely lost consciousness and fell to the ground, a blue-haired heroic man wearing a noble costume noticed the commotion here, stopped and was about to head to the train station and turned around and walked over.

"This is……"

The tall male nobleman with a mustache on his chin saw the vision of red light flashing on Ryan, and hurriedly lifted up the hem of his light blue windbreaker and squatted down, gently pressed his hand on Ryan's chest, using the "qi" contained in him to check the situation.

Ping Ming, who saw the arrival of the nobles around, subconsciously took two steps back and lowered his head respectfully, which shows the strictness of the imperial class system.

"The breath of incomparable chaotic surges, but I always feel that this energy flow pattern seems to have been seen somewhere..."

A male non-commissioned officer in the uniform of an officer in front of the train station was notified and jogged to the place where the commotion occurred. When he saw the noble man with a solemn face, he hurriedly bowed and bowed.

"Your Excellency Viscount, why are you..."

A man known as the Viscount waved his hand and interrupted the officer's inquiry, "No need to be polite, does anyone know this boy?"

Unfortunately, Uncle Carl, the only one who knew Ryan, had already walked quickly to his home in Oster District. After hearing Viscount's inquiry, the people present shook their heads in a daze and said they were unaware.

"Yeah……"

With a gentle sigh, the Viscount picked up Ryan on the ground, and the slightly flashing blue light in his hand still enveloped Ryan, suppressing the boiling red aura on his body.

Turning his head to look at the middle-aged officer, the viscount ordered seriously, "Please find a quiet room for me, I need to take some time to treat this child."

The officer immediately raised his hands together and saluted, "Yes! Please follow me to the train guard lounge."
