213, Lian Po returns to China(1/2)

Of course, things can't end so simply.

Later that day, another battle broke out in the barracks of the Handan City Guards.

Le Cheng successfully killed all the generals loyal to Pingyuanjun with the decree signed by King Zhao.

At this point, the command of tens of thousands of soldiers inside and outside Handan City fell into the hands of Li Jianyi's faction.

It was not until this time that Li Jian could say with great certainty that the "Xuanwu Gate Coup" he launched had a perfect success.

After taking control of the army, all we have to do is simply killing.

The goal of the first stop is of course the residence of Pingyuan Jun and Pingyang Jun.

There are more than 3,000 disciples in Pingyuan Jun’s Mansion, and there are still many loyal and righteous people.

They fought for a whole night until they were killed and did not surrender.

The number of these loyal and righteous people was less than a thousand. As for the remaining more than two thousand, some chose to surrender directly, while the other part scattered into birds and beasts.

Not only Pingyuan Jun and Pingyang Jun, but also a group of Zhao officials who were on Li Jian's list, including doctor Guo Kai, welcomed Zhao Jun.

Political struggle is very cruel. Li Jian knew very well that if he failed, his home would have the same result.

So after the victory, Li Jian will not stop at all.

Be kind to your enemies is cruelty to yourself.

On this night, blood was flowing freely on many streets in Handan City.

The battle lasted until the afternoon of the next day, and finally came to an end.

This was not the complete end. A large number of messengers began to set off from Handan with the will of King Zhao and headed towards various counties.

These decrees will remove a large number of officials and appoint a large number of officials.

Lin Xiangru was not very optimistic about the success of these messengers.

"After the news spread from Handan City, there will definitely be those ministers who are truly loyal to the king who will rise up."

Regarding Lin Xiangru's concerns, Li Jianze smiled harmlessly.

"I'm not worried about those guys rising up at all. My real goal is actually in the south."

Lin Xiangru looked at Li Jian and asked questions.

"Mr. Dingguo, are you talking about the army of Qin?"

Li Jian shook his head and stared at the night sky above his head with deep eyes.

"I'm talking about General Lian Po."

Lin Xiangru's expression suddenly became extremely subtle and could not speak for a long time.

Lian Po was riding a horse.

Behind Lian Po, a cavalry of ten thousand people followed closely.

I don’t know how long I lasted, but the moon above my head had already begun to turn dim, and Lian Po finally stopped slowly.

"There is a wood in front of you, let's rest until dawn."

No one dared to disobey General Lian Po's orders.

Lian Po looked very bad. After he arrived in the woods, he immediately handed the reins of the horse to the captain of the guard, then leaned against a tree stump, closed his eyes tightly, as if he was in sleep.

A sound of footsteps sounded, followed by the voice of Lian Po's son Lian Sheng.

"Dad, do you want something to eat?"

Lian Po shook his head and said angrily:

"I'm not in the mood now."

If it were in the past, when Lian Po showed this expression, he would have been very afraid of his father's Liansheng since he was a child, and would have long since he was a child.

But today's Lian Sheng was obviously different. Not only did he not leave, he sat down next to Lian Po's side with a big hairpin.

Lian Po finally opened his eyes and looked at Lian Sheng slantedly.

Lian Sheng was obviously a little nervous and said carefully:

"Why did my father suddenly abandon his army and return to Handan City alone?"

Lian Po sneered and said to Lian Sheng in front of him:

"Can you see the tens of thousands of cavalry around me be decorated?"

Lian Sheng was a little anxious and said:

"But there is a total of 100,000 troops behind us."

Lian Po shook his head and his eyes fell on the fire in front of him.

This is the fire that just started to burn, crackling.

A hare that was hunted for unknown time was hung on it and was roasting, with grease falling into the flames and making a sizzling sound.

Lian Po looked at the hare in front of him with some trance and suddenly spoke:

"Do you know what happened in Handan City?"

Lian Sheng naturally shook his head repeatedly, looking confused.

So Lian Po took out a decree from his sleeve and threw it to Lian Sheng.

After reading this order, Lian Sheng was shocked.

"Pingyuan Jun and Pingyang Jun are actually dead. Lin Xiangru and Li Jian have become prime ministers?"

"And your father, you actually became the Grand Marshal and were also named Marquis of Wucheng. This is a great thing!"

Lian Po shook his head and said coldly:

"Do you know what this means? It means that Li Jian and Lin Xiangru are no different from Zhao Cheng and Li Dui after the Sha Dune Palace Transformation."

Lian Sheng first showed a surprised expression on his face, but then he looked at Lian Po in confusion.

"No matter what they two want to do, hasn't your position been promoted? Moreover, Lin Xiangru has always been your close ally, and Li Jian is the one you reminded your son to make friends with."

It can be seen from the words that Lian Sheng did not understand why Lian Po looked worried and even angry.

As the saying goes, there is no better father than son, and Lian Po certainly understands what his son is thinking.

This understanding actually verifies one thing, that is, Lian Sheng does not understand Lian Po's father at all.

Lian Po punched the tree stump.

"Don't you understand? Their behavior is to betray the king!"

Lian Po's voice was so loud that many Zhao cavalry next to him turned their heads and looked in this direction.

Lian Sheng was also quite surprised and quickly lowered his voice.

"We can't discuss this in front of everyone, Dad."

Lian Po snorted, simply closed his eyes again, and ignored Lian Sheng.

Lian Sheng turned around helplessly, searching the crowd, as if looking for someone.

After a moment, Lian Sheng stood up and left the fire.

Time passed by minute by minute, and just as the sky showed whiteness, Lian Po stood up again.

"Everyone has it, get on the horse immediately and we will rush back to Handan."

With Lian Po's order, ten thousand cavalrymen rode on horseback and headed towards Handan again.

Two days later, they crossed the Yellow River and entered the border of Zhao.

Judging from the cavalry tutorial, it only takes half a day to reach the outside of Handan City in 10,000 cavalry.

After entering the border of Zhao, Lian Po's expression seemed to become even more solemn.

In front of Lian Po, an army of Zhao appeared.

This army was not here to welcome Lian Po. On the contrary, this army directly blocked Lian Po's way.

Lian Po looked at Le Cheng, who was commanding the army, and his eyes began to become cold.

"You don't think that you can stop me with your ability, right?"

Faced with Lian Po's uncovered provocation, Le Cheng did not have any angry expression on his face.

Le Cheng raised a scroll in his hand high.

"Wu Chengjun, this is a letter written to you by the Right Prime Minister. Maybe you should take a good look."

An angry expression appeared on Lian Po's face.

"Why is that guy Li Jian unwilling to come to see me in person?"

Le Cheng smiled big.

"It was the left prime minister who refused to let the right prime minister come."
