1516 [Literature Monthly]

Xiang Nan returned home and as soon as he entered the house, he was stopped by President Jin and Ms. Leopard.

"Son, come here, we received a letter from you today." Ms. Leopard waved, "It was sent to you by Literary Monthly."

"Oh?! Really." Upon hearing this, Xiang Nan ran over quickly, "Where is it? Show me quickly."

Ms. Leopard then handed a letter with the words "Literature Monthly" to Xiang Nan.

After Xiang Nan took it, he was about to tear open the envelope when he heard Jin Zhengfeng say, "Brother, be careful not to tear the stamp."

Xiang Nan was stunned for a moment, then nodded, knowing that Jin Zhengfeng had a hobby of collecting stamps.

He carefully tore open the envelope and took out the letter inside. When he opened it and looked at it, he was immediately delighted.

"Son, what's going on in your heart?" President Jin asked curiously.

"Son, why did Literary Monthly write to you?" Ms. Leopard also asked with concern.

"Brother, is there any good news?" Jin Zhengfeng also asked with interest.

"A novel I wrote a few days ago was included in the Literary Monthly." Xiang Nan explained with a smile, "They even invited me to the magazine."

"Oh?!" President Jin, Jin Zhengfeng, and Ms. Leopard Zi all opened their mouths in surprise after hearing this.

"Real or fake?! Show it to me!" President Jin quickly took the letter from Xiang Nan's hand and read it carefully.

Jin Zhengfeng and Ms. Leopard also turned their heads and watched together.

Sure enough, I saw the letter praising Xiang Nan's novel, with its twists and turns, vivid characters, and sincere emotions. It was a very good novel, so I decided to publish it and invited Xiang Nan to the magazine to discuss remuneration and publication matters.

After reading this letter, President Jin was very excited, "Oh, we actually have a writer in our family. This is really unexpected!"

"Really, this is actually true." Ms. Leopard was also excited.

The status of writers in South Korea is already high. Who would have thought that there could be a writer in their own home? It is really amazing.

"Brother, good job!" Zheng Fengdu happily patted Xiang Nan on the shoulder.

Xiang Nan nodded, and he was very happy to receive this letter. Many days of hard work finally paid off.

"Son, what kind of novel have you written? Can you show it to us?" President Jin asked curiously.

"Dad, I have sent out all the manuscripts." Xiang Nan waved his hand and said, "If you want to read it, you can only wait for the sample issue to be sent and read it."

"That's it~" President Jin said with regret, but he was still very happy for his son.

Neither he nor Ms. Leopard went to college, and Ms. Leopard never even went to junior high school. They never expected that their son would be so good and become a writer. He really brought glory to the Jin family.

"But, son, won't your writing affect your studies?" Ms. Leopard asked again worriedly.

She didn't want her second son to take college entrance examinations for several years like her eldest son, otherwise she would go crazy.

"Don't worry, Mom, I always write in the spare time after completing my homework, and it doesn't affect my studies." Xiang Nan explained, "If you don't believe it, just check my results next time."

"Yeah." Ms. Leopard nodded.

The next day, when Xiang Nan, Shan Yu, and Dong Long returned to school, everything was safe and sound. As expected, the crazy senior did not dare to expose his own scars.

Moreover, when the three of them met Xiang Nan by chance, they also took the initiative to retreat and did not dare to step forward to show off their power. It can be seen that the beating they received last night really caused them a lot of suffering.

Xiang Nan was secretly happy when he saw this.

These scoundrels, relying on their status as seniors, dare to act arrogantly and oppress good people. They really have never withstood the iron fist of socialism.

Shanyu and Donglong were relieved to see that they didn't cause trouble again.

Three days later, Deshan returned to Seoul after handling her grandmother's funeral.

When Xiang Nan found out, he immediately ran to comfort her.

"Deshan, are you okay?" he asked with concern.

"Grandma is so pitiful. I really didn't expect that she would die like this." Upon hearing this, Deshan's eyes became moist.

"Life and death are impermanent, so be sad and accept the changes." Xiang Nan comforted, "The dead are gone, and the living still have to bear their expectations and continue to live well."

"Yes." Deshan nodded with tears in his eyes.

She was touched by Xiang Nan's comfort and felt warm in her heart.

"By the way, tonight is Aze's birthday, don't forget to come and attend." Xiang Nan added.

"Okay." Deshan agreed.

In the evening, the friends gathered at Aze's house, waiting for Aze's return to celebrate his eighteenth birthday.

"Aze is really amazing. He was able to win the Toyo Securities Cup. I heard that many experts participated in this competition." Shanyu said with admiration.

"I think Aze will be promoted to the ninth level soon. It's really amazing." Donglong also said with a smile.

Deshan was very envious after hearing this, but she was more concerned about her food, "Ah, why hasn't Aze come back yet? I'm so hungry now~"

"He should be back soon. I just called Qiyuan and he has gone home." Donglong explained.

"Then why don't you come back? The Chess Academy is not far from here." Deshan said helplessly.

Xiang Nan smiled, knowing that at this moment, Aze was probably being dragged by Deshan's father to chat on the bed.

Deshan's father had just sent his mother away, and he was feeling depressed.

It is said that after parents leave, there is only one journey back in life. That feeling is difficult for ordinary people to understand. Therefore, Dad Deshan urgently needs to talk to others about his bitterness and relieve his longing.

Just as he was talking, he heard the door open.

The four people immediately stood up and came to the door. After a while, the door opened and it was Cui Ze!

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, dear Aze, happy birthday to you!" the friends sang in unison.

Immediately, Deshan couldn't help but put a birthday hat on Aze's head, "You should come back soon."

"Ah, smile~" Xiang Nan raised the camera and took a birthday photo of Cui Ze, "Oh, I should change my clothes and take the photo again, I look like an old man in this outfit~"

"Why did you come back so late? We were almost starving to death waiting." Shan Yu said, "I even called the Chess Academy specifically."

"Blow out the birthday candles quickly, they are almost burnt out." Dong Long urged.

"Ah, today is Saturday, there is a Saturday cinema." Shanyu turned on the TV.

Donglong hurriedly asked Cui Ze for a drink, and the room suddenly became a mess.

It was this kind of excitement that allowed Deshan, who had just experienced the pain of losing a loved one, and Cui Ze, who was reminded of his mother's thoughts by Dong Ri, to come out of their sadness.

Later, Donglong took out a bottle of Maotai liquor from Cui Ze's bag. Everyone cheered, opened the wine and started drinking like adults.
