Chapter 4 Wishing

Putting on the official robe, Xu Ping narrowed his eyes in the sunlight outside the window. After watching for a while, he suddenly sneezes.

After shaking slightly, Xu Ping felt comfortable all over his body. He turned around and saw Xiuxiu looking at him with a strange look in front of the basin rack not far away. Xu Ping felt a little confused. He looked at him and found that there was nothing wrong with it. When he raised his head, he found that Xiuxiu was still looking at him.

Seeing that although Xiuxiu had already been neatly cleaned up, there was still a flush on her face that had not yet faded, and she was a little unnatural in her actions. Although she couldn't tell what was wrong, it was a little different from her usual appearance.

Suddenly I remembered that I and Xiuxiu had been tossing for a long time last night. Is it possible that Xiuxiu was misunderstood by Xiuxiu? Zhao Zhen was tortured to death because of the woman's affairs, and the entire court was implicated. Now, everyone in the court talks about women like a tiger. Did Xiuxiu think of that aspect in her heart?

Thinking of this, Xu Ping hurriedly put away his loose expression just now, raised his face and dressed seriously.

Xiuxiu couldn't help but cover her mouth and smiled, and said to Xu Ping: "It's not too early, so please come and wash up. I don't know if there are any guests here later. It's better for us to be a guest outside."

After washing up, Xiuxiu brought breakfast and the two of them ate together. This morning, Xiuxiu was much more obedient and no longer insisted on eating with Xu Ping. She was still reserved. She just drank two sips of porridge and didn't know if she had enough.

Seeing that the sun was already rising, Xu Ping arrived at the living room, called Tan Hu and asked him: "Are there any guests here today? If there is no one who is important, follow me out in the morning to see the scenery around Zhengzhou."

Tan Hu crossed his hands: "Report to the official, there is no important guest. I don't know where to visit? The young man went to prepare. By the way, Mr. Chen heard that the commander Li from the County Massacre Division was coming to Zhengzhou and he would hold a welcome banquet in the Sunset Tower tonight."

"We will come back in the afternoon and will not miss the hour. The scenic spots in Zhengzhou, near Guancheng are nothing more than Pushebei, Lieziguan, Lingxianwang Temple and Kaiyuan Temple Pagoda. Fortunately, they are all in the east of the city, just along the way. We went to Pushebei first, then toured all the way, and finally arrived at Kaiyuan Temple at noon. The 'Ancient Tower and Qingyun' there is the most beautiful scenery in Zhengzhou."

Xu Ping is not a person who likes to travel around, nor does he have as many talented poetry and essays as the scholars nowadays, but for some reason, he just wants to walk around today. In fact, he doesn't care much about what those scenery looks like.

At this time, Zhengzhou Prefecture was in Guancheng County. The prefecture was not big. After the Five Dynasties, it became even more destructive and could not match the position of the Central Plains transportation. The most conspicuous thing in the city was the relic pagoda built in Kaiyuan Temple. It was built for the relics of the monks in the ninth year of Kaibao. The tower was ten feet high and it was the tallest building in the city. When climbing the tower on sunny days, the surrounding scenery was full of views, which was the "ancient tower and clear clouds."

After swimming through Pushebei, I looked at Lieziguan on the way and worshiped King Lingxian in the temple. At noon, Xu Ping and his party arrived at Kaiyuan Temple. This temple was built during the Xuanzong period of the Tang Dynasty and was the largest temple around, with a prosperous incense.

The presidency had already brought the monks from the temple to welcome him outside, and brought Xu Ping into the temple, so he ordered someone to arrange vegetarian food.

Xu Ping whispered to Xiuxiu: "We should not bother the temple. There is a banquet at night, and there are big fish and meat. Why should we eat vegetables here and suffer? Monks need to practice, but we don't practice."

Xiuxiu frowned and whispered: "The official just made a wish in the Lingxian King Temple. How could he be so disrespectful to the gods!"

"King Lingxian is a Taoist god and has been granted by emperors of all dynasties. Who knows which monk is worshipped in this temple?"

Xiuxiu gave Xu Ping a blank look and stopped talking.

Xu Ping had no choice but to accompany Xiuxiu to have a vegetarian meal. To be honest, Kaiyuan Temple cooked the vegetarian meal with care in order to please Xu Ping. If it was not explained in advance, Xu Ping would eat it with great flavor, but he said it was vegetarian meal in advance, and Xu Ping would no longer have any taste in his mouth.

After barely having vegetarian food, Xu Ping was accompanied by the abbot in the temple and arrived at the relics pagoda behind.

Before entering the tower, Xiuxiu said to Xu Ping seriously: "Officials, the relics of the monks are worshipped in this tower, which are spiritual. Don't say a word of disrespect when entering the tower, otherwise there will be retribution."

Seeing that Xiuxiu was serious, Xu Ping couldn't make her unhappy, so he quickly adjusted her clothes and her face became slapped.

The tower is thirty feet high, with a total of thirteen levels. It goes up along the steps, the space is cramped and the tower ladder is steep, which is not easy. Perhaps it was deliberately built like this when building the tower. First, use climbing the tower to measure the person's mind is not effective.

When we reached the top of the tower, the space was slightly wider and the mind suddenly became wider.

The abbot announced the voting number and said to Xu Ping: "Ducao can enjoy the scenic scenery as much as possible. If necessary, please give me instructions!"

Xu Ping replied: "The abbot has trouble."

Tan Hu took the lead and stood at the edge of the tower. He looked up and down, left and right, and said to Xu Ping: "Be careful, the tower is extremely high. If the wind is strong, you will feel a little unstable. Even if you are watching the scenery, it is best not to go to the edge of the tower!"

Xu Ping nodded: "It's okay, I'm not a weak little lady."

After saying that, he took Xiuxiu's hand and reached the edge of the tower. However, because of Tan Hu's words, he was still a little distance away from the edge.

At this time, the clear sky was as clear as cloudless as thousands of miles away. The surrounding scenery was not only Zhengzhou City, but also the Pushebei in the distance, and even the Jinshui River in the distance, and the Bian River in the distance. The Songshan Mountains in the distance were as green as jade carved, which made people happy to see. A jade belt in the sky, faintly like the Yellow River.

Xu Ping looked at the scenery and felt his mind open, as if the whole world was in control. A sense of pride surged in his heart, and he just wanted to shout at the sky outside the tower. Since he came to this world, it was the first time that he enjoyed the beautiful scenery in nature. Without any secular emotions, he felt that the scenery around him was extremely beautiful.

A breeze blew, and Xiuxiu couldn't help but sway. Xu Ping hurriedly used force to support her.

At such a high place, Xiuxiu was a little scared, looked out carefully, and closed her eyes quickly. After a while, she finally couldn't help but open her eyes and looked again.

"Officials, we seem to have reached the sky." Xiuxiu said softly.

Xu Ping held Xiuxiu and said to her: "We are in the sky now, and the clouds are under our feet, so people will naturally go to heaven!"

Seeing Xiuxiu's face turned pale, Xu Ping whispered in her ear: "Xiuxiu, what wish did you make in Lingxian King Temple?"

Xiuxiu whispered: "I won't tell you!"

"I just told you what I made. Before the statue of King Lingxian, I wish you would give birth to a son for me. I was a little unbelievable at first, but now I have climbed the tower, and somehow I feel that the god has become effective, and this wish will come true!" (To be continued.)
