Chapter five hundred and thirtieth comeback

How many troops can the Kingdom of Spain mobilize? This is a big question.

The troops they usually retained were only six infantry regiments, but the troops they could mobilize were much larger than this number. In the past few years, Spain mobilized a mixed force of 9,000 Philippine indigenous and Spanish soldiers at most, and defeated all powerful countries such as Sulu and Sultan in one go.

But Sun Tianniu had to care about Sun Tianwei's grammatical mistakes: "We care about differently. Our question is how many troops are there in Manila now? Please remember, this is not 1762!"

The time of 1762 does have special significance in Philippine history.

Before 1762, the natives of the Philippines believed that the capital was the Kingdom of Spain, an empire that the sun never set. You should know that the Philippines was not a colony, but an affiliated colony managed by Mexico. All affairs in the Philippines were managed by a deputy king of Mexico. How powerful is the Kingdom of Spain above it?

When Spain conquered the Philippines, it was a good time. At that time, the Philippine Archipelago was in the late primitive society. In fact, there was no country, only some large tribes. Therefore, the Catholicism brought by Spain overwhelmed the primitive religion and brought the technology completely overwhelmed the indigenous people.

If it weren't for the arrival of the Spanish, the entire Philippine archipelago would have fallen into the control of Islam. It should be noted that during this period, the Southern Philippine archipelago had already had the Sudan regime under the feudal system. They were sweeping the entire Philippine archipelago with an unstoppable momentum, and even Manila had mosques.

The Spanish fell from the sky, breaking the Sudans' offensive and turning into three hundred years of confrontation and fighting. The Philippines thought that Spain was a god in heaven, but after 1762, the indigenous people no longer worshiped the Spanish.

In 1762, 6,800 British troops unstoppablely captured Manila and conquered the entire Philippines, allowing the Filipinos to see English for the first time and realize that the Spanish were just poor chess pieces in front of the British.

Entering the 19th century, the once invincible Spanish colonial empire collapsed. In 1823, Peru represented Spain's abandonment of the entire American colony. The civil war in the entire Spanish mainland continued until 1849 to come to an end. The Filipinos naturally did not respect the noble Spanish, and even those mixed-race people with Spanish descent became the pioneers of the anti-Western era.

The Manila Mutiny in 1823 was led by Creole (a Spanish born in the Philippines), which represented a dangerous signal. The mutiny in 1843 also included a considerable number of Mistizo (Sifie mixed race).

Therefore, Sun Tianniu did hit Sun Tianwei's key point: "So what? In 1762, there were only 550 Spanish soldiers and 80 Filipino gunners in Manila, but today's Philippines is still the Spanish world!"

This is the fact, he continued: "This story has been staged once! When Lin Feng tried to try to the Philippines, he had 6,000 people, and at that time the Spanish even had only…"

He couldn't remember how many troops Spain had in Manila at that time. He only remembered that there were only a few hundred Spanish people in the Philippines, and there were only a mere 70 Spanish troops used to reinforce Manila.

Sun Tianniu was very serious: "Yes, this is the second time Lin Feng conquers Fei. Do you want to know how many troops there are in Manila now? I tell you that there are only 200 artillery soldiers and a small team of the 70th Regiment!"

As soon as Sun Tianniu said this, the Sun family present whispered to each other regardless of the authority of Sun Tianwei, the head of the family. They did not expect that the Spanish troops were so weak.

Although Manila's bastion is the most solid fortification in Asia, the 200 artillery soldiers seemed to have too few troops. You should know that even in 1762, Manila had 550 Spanish soldiers and 80 Filipino gunners. Later, 4,000 indigenous Filipino soldiers equipped with cold weapons came from the outside to try to rescue Manila.

But when you think about it carefully, everyone thinks that this number is at least not much different from the facts. Since Spain acquired three steamships in 1848, they have completely suppressed the slave Clippers of several southern Sudans at sea and moved into a full counterattack. However, these attacks on the Moroes occupied most of the Spanish garrison.

There are only six infantry regiments in the Philippines. In fact, some of them know more detailed numbers. Under normal circumstances, there are 2,000 Spanish soldiers and 6,000 indigenous Philippine soldiers. In addition, there are 4,000 "National Self-Defense Forces" similar to militias, but they cannot count on these National Self-Defense Forces at all.

Now at least a few troops are used for combat in the Southern Archipelago, and the remaining troops are to be stationed in the entire northern Philippine Islands. Therefore, the entire Luzon Island was stationed by a 70th Regiment, and used rebellion to interfere with China. Although the mobilized retired veterans were used in the early stage, it seems that this group directly sent part of the 70th Regiment to China.

In that case, Manila's Spanish troops would definitely be surprisingly fewer, even if they exceeded the 200 artillery soldiers mentioned by Sun Tianniu, they would definitely be very limited.

Everyone couldn't help but think of the inexplicable decisions of the Governor. On the one hand, they declared that they had enough troops and were not ready to mobilize people of Spanish descent such as Mistizo or Creole, but on the other hand, they were ready to mobilize thousands of indigenous soldiers.

Is this an opportunity for the Sun family?

But Sun Tianwei disagreed. He stood upright and said in a sacred and great tone: "We have lived in this country for a hundred years, and so what about Manila's only two hundred Spanish artillery?"

"The Spaniards have ruled this country for a full three hundred years, three hundred years. At that time, the Qing Dynasty had not yet entered the pass!"

This is an absolute fact. Sun Tianwei continued: "In my opinion, the Spanish will continue to rule this country for hundreds of years. Isabella is a true wise ruler. He will bring new light and hope for this country..."

"What she brings is not hope and light, but destruction!"

Sun Tianwei immediately criticized: "Tianniu, you take your own blood too seriously, which will make a fatal mistake. You should. We must live in this country first, and then we are Chinese..."

"In fact, whether I can be considered a Chinese is all a question!"

This is a family with very obvious localization. There are even a large number of Catholic believers in the family, and they have cut off the so-called ancestral beliefs. In this case, Sun Tianwei said loudly: "Please put the interests of our family first. We must remember that there were three blood massacres in Manila..."

When we talked about the three Chinese massacres in Manila, everyone was silent, and everyone knew what kind of blood was. Sun Tianniu seemed to be isolated, and Sun Tianwei happily announced his victory: "We must remember the blood shed by our predecessors and forget what kind of blood was shed on our bodies..."

This means compromise. For the Zhongfeimistizo family, which focuses on doing business, most of them have come to Sun Tianwei's side rationally, but Sun Tianniu smiled at this time: "I wish I was a Spaniard a month ago, a real Spaniard..."

He spoke with a gritted teeth, and everyone understood the meaning of this. But he quickly mentioned the real key: "But the problem is that in this country, even Creole, is just a inferior person..."

Creole is Spanish, meaning that both parents are Spanish, but he was born in a colonial Spanish, which is a unique noun in Spanish history.

However, although Sun Tianniu's words received a lot of sympathy, everyone still stood on Sun Tianwei's side rationally and was unwilling to take risks. Even though there were only a few hundred Spanish soldiers in Manila, Chinese businessmen were still cautious in running their own business.

But the next sentence made everyone unable to sit still: "You should know that the reason why I made such a suggestion is not just personal impulse and passion, but closely related to family interests. If we don't do it, the British will put us aside!"

British?

This sentence made the Sun family and others jump up. Are the British standing on the side of the Chinese? That is a factor worth considering!

At this time, when the killer moves out, a blond and blue-eyed foreigner walked in from outside the door and said loudly: "That's right. I agree with Mr. Sun Tianniu's suggestion. The operation system of this country has reached a time when it has to be changed. If you are not interested, we will work with Sifemistizo together!"

Sifemistizo, that was the next step under Creole. In the mutiny in 1843, many Mistizo participated, so everyone thought that Sun Tianniu's suggestion became feasible.

When Sun Tianwei saw the British coming out of the sky, he knew that he was in a retreat. Mr. Naples is one of the most spoken British people in Manila.

He knew how Spain offended the British. In the past three hundred years, Spain tried every means to drive away all non-Spanish Europeans and monopolize all the interests of the colonies. Last year, in 1857, Spain just issued an order to expel all foreign merchants entering the Philippines. This is the fourth time this century has issued such an order.

Although this order soon had to compromise on reality, both the British and Europeans were very dissatisfied with the reality of the Philippines, who could have gained dozens of times the benefits in the Philippines.

Napley's next sentence sentenced Sun Tianwei to death: "On the way to Manila, the Chinese have defeated the defenses of 170 Spanish soldiers and Filipino indigenous people. This is the last defense outside Manila City, and it is also the desperate blocking of the 70th Regiment assembled several outposts... Now Manila can be said to be an unguarded city for them. Therefore, I think Mr. Sun Tianwei should be kept calm."

ps: The troops in this chapter are equipped with the Spanish army before the Philippine Revolution for one and six years. Although it is a bit incredible, there are only 200 artillery guards in Manila, while there are only a few hundred soldiers in Luzon scattered all over the place.!~!
