Chapter 323: Planting the Red Flag All Over the World

Just as Harry Hopkins was about to go to Moscow, Molotov, chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Union, was visiting Berlin. In the magnificent capital of the Third Reich, he heard a moving proposal to plant the red flag of socialism all over the world!

"Comrade Molotov!" Marshal Hessman said to Molotov in a solemn tone in the conference room of the Prime Minister's Office at No. 77 William Street, "The great victory of socialism is right before us. Comrade Lenin's ideal will be realized. The red flag of national socialism and scientific socialism (the 10,000-character flag is also a red bottom) will soon be planted throughout the world! What is the Soviet Union still waiting for?"

Molotov was stunned. As a Bolshevik, of course he had imagined the scene of red flags spreading all over the world in his heart. How exciting it was! But he didn't think this day would appear in 1939.

In his imagination, victory would be realized before the end of the 20th century, mostly in the 1990s. At that time, he was already a centenarian, and maybe he could live to see the scene of the red flag rising in the White House, which would definitely be realized!

Hessman seemed to see through Molotov's thoughts and suddenly said: "Comrade Molotov, if we miss the opportunity, then the red flag of socialism will not be able to penetrate the earth until the 1990s. If national socialism fails in the 1940s, then scientific socialism will fall into the encirclement of capitalism all over the world, and it is impossible to win. The 1990s will be the end of the Soviet Union!"

Nonsense! Molotov thought to himself: Scientific socialism has great superiority, how could it be wiped out by capitalism?

Hessman said: "I discussed this issue with Comrade Lenin in 1917, and he also agreed. If he were still alive, he would have declared war on British imperialism without hesitation!"

This is not nonsense. There is such a content in the "Complete Works of Lenin" in this time and space. If Lenin was still there, the Soviet Union would have declared war on Britain and France to defeat capitalism first, and then decide the level of scientific socialism and national socialism!

However, Comrade Stalin had creatively developed Lenin's theory and summarized a country's socialist theory. Even if the Soviet Union was isolated by the world, it could build socialism with its own strength.

But this does not mean that the possibility of joining forces with the state and socialist government should be completely ruled out.

"Marson Marshal, if Lenin was still there, what would he think about your support for White Poland?" Molotov said sternly, "If it weren't for your support, the Brest Fortress would have been liberated long ago."

"Brest is not a problem," Hessman waved his hand, "as long as you join the war against Britain and France, White Poland will perish within a week."

"You also occupy two provinces in Ukraine, which are not part of the Austrian crown territory!"

Hessman looked at Hitler, and the German leader immediately said, "This is not a problem. As long as you fulfill your obligation to join the war, our people will retreat immediately."

"War requires time to prepare!" Molotov said, "The Soviet Union's preparations were not sufficient. Many of the Red Air Force aircraft were outdated, the army's motorization was slow, and the Navy's Soviet-class battleships had not been built yet. What do you want us to use to fight British and French imperialism?"

"Submarine!" Hessman said lightly, "You have 200 submarines, dozens of which can be fought in the Atlantic Ocean. If you join the war, you only need to send submarines to win the world for socialism in 24-36 months!

Now 300 German submarines have caused heavy losses to Britain. If 200 Soviet submarines are added, the British will definitely lose more than 500,000 tons per month! At least 12 million tons in 24 months and 18 million tons in 36 months (the British had only 15 million tons of merchant ships before the war). Such losses will be impossible for Britain to bear anyway."

What? The victory of socialism is so simple! Molotov thought to himself: If Comrade Lenin was still there, he would definitely join the war without hesitation.

"So what can the Soviet Union get?" Molotov asked.

"What?" Hessman deliberately showed an extremely surprised expression, "Comrade Molotov, what do you mean?"

"The Soviet Union could not participate in the war for no reason, right?" Molotov looked at Hessman.

"You mean: the Soviet Union cannot liberate humanity for no reason, right?" Hessman said in a very incredible tone, "Is the cause of humanity a paid service? Every liberated humanity has to pay the Bolsheviks?"

"Of course not that..." Molotov said carefully. He suddenly found it very difficult to talk to Hesman, "the old friend of Comrade Lenin." He looked at Hitler. This mustache looked much more reasonable.

He told Hitler: "If the Soviet Union makes sacrifices, it should gain something, otherwise the Soviet people will not agree."

Unfortunately, before the translator around Hitler translated Molotov's words into German, Hessman first answered in Russian: "What? The Soviet people believed that all mankind had to pay to be liberated? Is this awareness too low?"

“…”

Molotov was speechless. How did Hessman come up with the concept of "the cause of human liberation is a paid service"?

"Comrade Marshal!" Molotov also called Hessman by "comrade". He asked with some annoyance, "So, after the liberation of all mankind, who will lead them? Germany, or the Soviet Union? Or the Soviet Union, or the Soviet Union, or the Soviet Union each leads part of the Soviet Union?"

"It's not the leader," Hessman said seriously, "but help! Imperialism wants to lead the world all day long, and we are socialists!"

Molotov was stunned and nodded in agreement, "Okay, it's help! So should the Soviet Union and Germany each help part of the oppressed people in the world?"

Hessman first repeated Molotov's words to Hitler in German, and then said to Hitler: "Leader, I think we can first issue a joint statement or a charter with the Soviet Union to clarify the position of our two countries in opposing imperialism and supporting the liberation of the colonial and semi-colonial peoples. With this joint statement, we can safely hand over Ukraine outside the Austrian crown territory (Germany's occupied area in Ukraine is larger than the agreement originally reached with the Soviet Union) to the Soviet Union."

What Hessman wanted to publish with the Soviet Union was something similar to the Atlantic Charter, directly raising the banner of anti-imperialism and anti-coloniality.

"I agree to make such a statement," Germany has not defeated France and dominate Europe at present, and Hitler certainly would not miss such an opportunity to trap the Soviet Union. "Because opposing colonialism is our usual position!"

Hessman looked at Molotov again, and a translator had already translated the conversation between Hessman and Hitler into Russian and told him.

This is a trap! After listening to the interpreter of the translation, Molotov already knew what the Germans were making.

The largest colonial empire in the world is now Britain, and the second largest colonial empire is France. Anti-imperialism and anti-colonialism can basically be equated with anti-British and French.

If the Soviet Union and Germany, the two "socialist countries", jointly issued such a statement at the moment, would almost be equivalent to joining forces to declare war on Britain and France! However, declaring war almost does not mean real declaration of war. Moreover, for the Soviet Union, it would be a long time before it could start a war with Britain and France, the two imperialists.

"Leader, Marshal," said Molotov, "you still haven't answered my question, how should the Soviet Union and Germany help oppressed peoples all over the world?"

He means that the Soviet Union and Germany should each help many oppressed people.

Hessman and Hitler exchanged glances with each other. Hessman said: "We can first determine several major principles before negotiations can be carried out. First, our two countries' requirements for reasonable territorial adjustments; second, our attitude towards the liberation of colonial and semi-colonial countries; third, our guarantee of the territorial and sovereignty integrity of each neutral independent country; fourth, our opinions on socialist transformation of imperialist countries that have brought profound disasters to all mankind."

He said this, paused for a moment, and said in a very solemn tone: "We should be very cautious about the territorial adjustments of the Soviet Union and Germany. It is necessary to recover the land lost due to the unequal treaty, but expansion outside of this should be very cautious.

We in Germany do not want to see any territorial changes that are not consistent with the will of the people concerned for free expression.”

Hessman said this, of course, seriously discussed with Hitler. Germany's demand for territory should be based on the abolition of two unequal treaties, namely the Treaty of Versailles and the Treaty of Saint-Germain.

In other words, the natives of the German Empire should first include the original second German Empire and the Austrian crown territory (the "Australia" in the Austrian-Hungarian Empire). This is the result of the abolition of the unequal treaty! Then the part that was joined through civil liberties, such as Polo, Lithuania, and perhaps Poland. However, the referendum should be held in the absence of free expression of opinions.

Hessman also wanted to use these two principles to limit the expansion ambitions of the Soviet Union. It would be almost the same to have some satellite countries, so don’t expand the Soviet Union endlessly!

"If..." Molotov knew that the issue of "dividing the world" could not be reached so quickly, and these major principles seemed OK, "If there was such a joint statement, would the problems between Poland and Ukraine be successfully solved?"

"It can only solve the problem of Ukraine's demarcation. In addition, you must ensure a monthly supply of 500,000 tons of oil. You must allow short-term credit. We will produce parts of Soviet-class battleships for you to compensate." Hessman smiled slightly, "But you have to destroy the Polish army in Brest yourself, unless you are willing to declare war on Britain and France immediately, then we naturally have the obligation to help our allies."

A broken statement was exchanged for more than 30,000 square kilometers of land in Ukraine! This seems to be a sure-making deal.

Molotov nodded and said, "Okay, we will fight Brest ourselves. As long as you don't help them, we will be able to defeat Brest soon!"
