Chapter 338 Holmes

On the weekend, Murphy set out from the Valley District on time and soon arrived at the gate of UCLA. Because the school refused to enter the outside vehicle, he parked the car near the school gate and walked inside.

Originally, Gal Gadot was going to pick him up, but he refused. Murphy thought that since she was the vice president of the film club, she would definitely be busy, and it would not be good to leave without permission.

Although I have never been to college here, Murphy feels that it is necessary to maintain good relationships with classmates no matter which side of the Pacific.

More than two years ago, Murphy once sent Gal Gadot here, and there was still some impression, especially in the dormitory area. However, this celebration party was not in the dormitory area, but in a large restaurant where the school often held parties.

He had never been to the dining area. When he was on the phone with Gal Gadot before, he just heard her say that when he entered the door, he turned left and then turned right, then passed through a square and turned left and you could see the main entrance of the restaurant. The main entrance of the restaurant was holding a party banner, which was very easy to identify.

It was just getting dark and the street lights on the campus were not on yet. Murphy turned left and right according to the road pointed by Gal Gadot, and still didn't see where the restaurant was.

Back to the square, Murphy found a slightly higher place and looked around, but still found nothing.

"It seems that he has taken the wrong path." He immediately realized this and turned to walk to his right. When he was looking around, he found a young girl coming over, as if she was a student from the University of California.

"Sorry, disturb me." Murphy walked over and asked, "How to get to Restaurant No. 1?"

The girl turned her head and looked at Murphy and said curiously, "Are you going to Restaurant No. 1?"

Murphy nodded slightly and glanced across the girl's face at the same time. This was a girl with a Nordic look with a high nose and deep eyes. She was very beautiful. Her beautiful blonde hair was tied behind her head, highlighting her three-dimensional facial features.

ā€œI’m going to restaurant No. 1, too.ā€

This is inside the campus, and the girl was not worried and said, "Follow me."

"Okay." Murphy followed to a stone road, "Thank you."

"You're welcome." The girl turned around and smiled at him, asking, "Are you going to the celebration party over there?"

"Yes." Murphy replied as he walked, "You are a member of the Academy's film club."

"No, I was invited here too." The blonde girl took Murphy over a corner and pointed to the back of a coconut grove. "The restaurant is there."

The two walked over there for a distance, and Murphy introduced himself, "I am Murphy Stanton, Californian."

"Murphy Stanton?" The girl seemed to have heard this name, frowned and thought for a while, and suddenly showed a surprised expression, "You can't be the Murphy Stanton in Hollywood, are you?"

"As far as I know," Murphy shrugged, "It seems there is no second one."

Although the blonde girl was not surprised, she laughed happily, "Oh, oh, oh, I didn't expect that I would meet a famous Hollywood director here."

Murphy smiled and asked with a polite reminder, "Can you know your name, beautiful lady?"

"Ah, sorry." The blonde girl was obviously well educated and quickly introduced herself, "I am Elizabeth Holmes, from Palo Alto, California."

"I'm glad to know you." Murphy said politely.

Elizabeth Holmes also said, "I'm also very happy to meet a Hollywood director like you."

While talking, the two of them had already arrived at the door of the restaurant.

As soon as she walked to the restaurant door, Murphy saw Gal Gadot coming quickly. She seemed a little anxious, "Why did you come here for so long? You won't get lost, right?"

"You said it." Murphy spread his hands and said helplessly, "I'm really lost."

He turned to introduce, "This is Miss Elizabeth Holmes, she brought me here."

"Thank you." Gal Gadot said thanking and introduced himself, "I am Gal Gadot, a member of the film club. Are you Mosen's cousin?"

"Hello," Elizabeth Holmes said with a smile, "I happened to be on a business trip to Los Angeles, so I accepted Morson's invitation."

She pointed inside, "I won't disturb you anymore, I'll go in first."

As he walked into the restaurant, Elizabeth Holmes looked back and his eyes fell on Murphy.

"Let's go in, too." Gal Gadot took Murphy's arm and walked into the restaurant, saying as he walked, "I'll tell them that you just need to show up and answer a few of their questions in private, and don't worry about anything else."

Murphy tilted his head and kissed her gently, "I'll follow your arrangements tonight."

Since he has come here, he will definitely not let Gal Gadot have any difficulties.

But the actual situation was beyond Murphy's expectations. He had just entered the big restaurant where the party was held. Before he could figure out what was going on, he heard someone shouting, "Murphy is here." Then the order of the party was completely chaotic, and countless people surrounded him. If it weren't for the heads of several film clubs who were blocking outside, it would be hard to say that there would be no chaos.

Murphy never expected that he would be so popular in college.

He could no longer stay in the restaurant normally. Who knows what else would happen later? Moreover, the situation just now made Gal Gadot a little angry. The chaos just now might have hurt Murphy, if that is the case...

When the order was slightly better, Gal Gadot pulled Murphy into a rest room next to him without hesitation.

"I knew it was like this." She leaned against the door, as if she was a little scared, "I wouldn't let you come over no matter what I said."

"Hey, dear, calm down." Murphy walked over and put her shoulders, "I have faced a more complicated and chaotic situation than this."

This situation often occurs in the publicity after his film is released.

An aggressive knock on the door sounded, and Gal Gadot leaned against the door without moving, and there was no intention of opening the door at all. A boy's voice came from outside, "Gal, it's me, John, only me."

Murphy patted Gal Gadot on the shoulder, and Gal Gadot pouted, then he let the door open.

After a brunette boy came in, he apologized quickly, "Sorry, Director Stanton, we didn't expect this to happen either."

"It's okay." After all, this is Gal Gadot's classmate in the club. Murphy shook his head indifferently, "I like your enthusiasm very much."

The boy scratched his head embarrassedly, "It's all my poor job, Director Stanton..."

Murphy raised his hand and interrupted him, "Call me Murphy."

Although he was very kind, Murphy was not going to run to the restaurant to cause trouble again. This was not like when there were special security personnel next to him during publicity.

While chatting with the head of the club named John, Murphy gradually understood that the era of the information explosion has arrived. Most of the directors with a body hidden behind the scenes are no longer the situation that no one knew before. Some big directors, especially the popular directors, will gradually move to the front.

The situation where the promotional films of the last century first consider the actors will change accordingly. Some well-known directors will also feature a prominent title like a director's work.

"He's so popular among you?"

In the restaurant, Elizabeth Holmes looked at the lounge over there and asked his cousin Moss, "You guys are like crazy."

"You haven't watched Deadpool and The Disappearing Lover?" Seeing my cousin nodding, Mosen said in admiration, "A crazy cuteness, a crazy fascinating one. Murphy's style is so unique."

He raised his thumb directly, "Among young directors under the age of forty in Hollywood, Murphy's ability is definitely the first, and his income is also the first! He is the best object of worship for those of us who dream of making movies!"

Elizabeth Holmes automatically ignored the rest of Morson's words and only remembered one sentence, "Earnings are also the first one?"

"Absolutely!" Because he was a classmate's boyfriend, Mosen had known some and knew a lot of big-name products, and quickly said, "The news I saw from authoritative media that his previous films were all about four million dollars in basic salary plus a certain amount of box office share. In "Deadpool", it is said that the North American box office share alone was nearly 20 million dollars, and he also accounted for a quarter of the total investment. The box office of this film was nearly 600 million dollars. How much could he get from it?"

Elizabeth Holmes thought about it when he heard Morson's words.

"Why, are you interested in him?" Morson was very gossipy. "Want to pursue him? He has a girlfriend."

"I'm not as bored as you think." Elizabeth Holmes waved his hand, "I'll go and talk to Murphy Stanton."

Mosen asked curiously, "What are you talking about?"

Elizabeth Holmos shook his head, said nothing, and walked straight to the lounge.

In the lounge, Murphy was still very polite to Gal Gadot's classmates, "John, if you have any questions, you can come here to ask me, I won't go out."

"Okay, okay..." John stood up and said, "I'll tell those guys now."

Murphy nodded at him with a smile. John said goodbye to the two and left the lounge.

He had just left, and the door of the lounge was knocked from outside again. Gal Gadot stood up and opened the door like he saw Murphy.

"Hi, Gale." A blonde girl waved her hand with a smile, "We're meeting again."

Gal Gadot naturally remembered her, "Hello, Miss Holmes."

"Call me Liz." Elizabeth Holmes asked politely, "Is Murphy here?"
