Chapter 522 Desert Mercenaries

Niamey, a city on the Niger River, the capital of the Niger Republic in the old century. After the Earth Federation unified the Earth Circle, the Niger Republic no longer existed. The city did not have its former reputation, scale and value due to its decline in political status. It also caused a trend of desertification due to environmental deterioration, and was consciously marginalized by the federal government. After a year of war, the Jean remnants launched guerrilla warfare on the African continent, and the city became a blessing in disguise and flourished again from a semi-aborted state.

The Sadaran, an Ndora-class landed on the sand on the north bank of the Niger River, across the river from Niger. Niamei is a river-crossing city, and the north bank of the Niger River is still the original city center. However, under population movement and desertification, the north bank has completely become a desert. Only the south bank is supported by the natural Great Wall of the Niger River. People in the city can see the landing of warships clearly, but do not think it is strange because they have long been used to it.

Croncharia and Mobuto stepped down from the warship one after another, and a team of militants were waiting under the warship.

The militants were of various races, either wearing leather vests, short-sleeved military uniforms without ranks, or simply shirtless. One of them was nearly 40 years old and had a bearded brown-haired white man walked out of the crowd and saluted Croncharia and Mobuto casually, saying, "Welcome to Niamey, we have been waiting for a long time."

Mombot stepped forward and shook hands with him, after a few greetings, he turned to Croncharia and said, "Col. Charia, this is Captain Adil Raymond, my personal guard captain."

Croncharya raised his lips and walked up to shake hands with him, saying, "It turned out to be Captain Raymond, known as the 'Desert Eagle' in the mercenary field, and has long been famous."

Raymond smiled and said proudly: "I didn't expect that the red comets knew my name. It seems that I..."

Croncharya raised his face and said seriously: "Please don't get me wrong. What I heard is that the captain is a bad reputation who charges high fees but does not keep his promises as a mercenary."

Raymond froze and said awkwardly: "These are all slanderings from competitors, please don't believe them."

Cronshaya snorted coldly and said, "Is it impossible to know whether it is a false accusation? If a mercenary can be simply caught, how can he survive in troubled times? I believe that the captain will not fall into others in hiding his or her tracks and destroying evidence. I don't care about your historical credit, it's enough for you to hold on to the target for three hours."

Raymond wrapped his hands around his chest, raised his back, and said proudly: "Although you are a famous red comet, I have no reason to obey. It doesn't matter who the target is, what matters is to offer the price. We will only consider whether to accept it or not when the price is right, and the higher the price, the less time it takes to consider."

Croncharya asked, “That is, the price reaches a certain level, and no matter who targets it will accept it.”

Raymond nodded and said, "You can say that. So how much do you plan to pay?"

Monbot waited until this time to find the opportunity to speak, and shouted to Raymond, "What's going on? Haven't you signed with me for a year? You must not be hired by others this year, and you must not be ordered by me. Why do you still have to negotiate the price now? Do you know that Colonel Charles is speaking on behalf of me?"

Raymond smiled at the same time with everyone behind him, and then said: "Mr. Mobutu, we signed an employment contract, but there is no clause in the contract to "cover the Gene remnant party and go to war with the Federal Army." If we want us to go to war with the Federal Army, please give us more commissions."

Mombot's eyebrows twitched, and knew that people who were half bandits and half-armed were unreasonable. They had to ask others for help, so they could only lower their heads and suffer this loss. Therefore, they forced the anger that had just ignited in their hearts and asked, "How much do you want?"

"The original price is ten times the price," Raymond said.

Mombot widened his eyes and said in surprise: "Ten times? You are really..."

Raymond hummed twice and said slowly: "You want to say I am starting a price on the ground? That's right. The price has been issued, and it's up to you to accept it or not. You know my rules and never accept the bargaining. Either give money or ask for it. I think the federal pursuing troops will chase you soon, otherwise the dignified red comet will not be able to come to me. Let me make it clear first that although we are armed with troops, we do not intend to intervene in politics. If you pay the fire, no matter how much money you have, it will be useless."

Mobutu hesitated and thought to himself, "Ten times, one tenth of the funds available on hand, if I pay it out, there will be many hopes of making a comeback in the future." But he heard Croncharya, who was standing by, say self-righteously: "Okay, we agree. Want to check, cash, or gold?"

"Of course it's gold."

Mombot was stunned and hurriedly whispered to Croncharia: "Col. I can pay the check."

Cronchara whispered, "Why, aren't there two boxes of gold placed on the ship?"

Mombot said anxiously: "Oh! That money can't be moved."

It doesn't matter normally, but now it is during the war, and the currency will depreciate on a large scale at any time. At that time, the most valuable thing is gold. Therefore, keeping a small part of it around you and the rest is stored in various banks, which is the safest.

Croncharya spoke in a rough voice and scared: "If the federal army catches up, no matter how much gold you have, you won't be able to buy your life. Anyway, you don't have to hold on to it anyway, so why bother to hold on? Besides, you all say, 'There is no mercenary in this area that is better than them'. If you want to find someone else, spend more time and don't say it, no one can confirm whether it works or not."

Raymond kept listening to their conversation, and couldn't help but smile when he heard this sentence, and said proudly: "To be honest, there were five or six small-scale mercenaries in this area, including the Gene remnants who were left behind in a year of war, or the Gene remnants who failed to succeed in the first New Gene remnants. Because he refused to surrender to us, he would either be defeated or surrendered obediently. If you don't look for me, you will not be able to find a second mercenary team in a short time."

Mombot said in surprise: "How come you Gene's remnants kill each other?"

Raymond was stunned and murmured to himself: "Jen's Remnant Party?" Then he burst into laughter.

Mobuto was puzzled and turned around and asked Croncharia, "What's wrong, they?"

Croncharya sighed and replied, "They are not Gene."

Mobuto exclaimed, “How is that possible?”

Raymond stopped laughing and said seriously: "How is it impossible? If it weren't for the defeat of the Battle of Gripps, we would be the one who pursued you."

Mombot suddenly realized: "Titans!" but he was already half angry.

Raymond glanced at Mombot with disdain and said to Croncharia: "Red Comet Charia Aznapur, I'm surprised you are still alive, but I don't understand why you, who won the Battle of Gripps, organized New Gene to fight against the federal government? We losers have no choice, but you are the winner, and there is obviously a better way out."

Although Croncharia has the memory and personality of Charia, it also preserves its own personality. The two personalities are exactly the opposite. Until the mutual exclusion, thinking about this issue will only cause personality confusion. Only by avoiding the memory of Charia and preventing it from being brought into Charia's personality can we maintain stability. We have to smile bitterly and shake our heads without responding.

Raymond could see that Shaya had a hard time, so he stopped asking and said, "It's not too much time, money or life, it's time to break it."

Mombot is not a person who cannot be separated, not to mention that it is only a small part of the money. After thinking it through, he immediately said, "I will give you money, and you can help me stop the federal army."

Raymond smiled and praised: "I am worthy of being a member of Congress, and I am determined."

During the Battle of Grips, Titans fought in the universe and valleys, and was entangled with Calaba on the ground. After the war, Titans of the universe mostly died under the laser of the colony, but Titans on the ground still had a large-scale force. Although most of them surrendered to Calaba and the Federal Army after the war, there were still a few people who were afraid that the Federal Army would settle the accounts after the autumn and hid with MS.

Adil Raymond was once an MS commander at the Kilimanjaro base. Kilimanjaro was lucky enough to die during the offensive and defensive battle. He wanted to take away the remaining troops and return to the army, but he did not expect that the situation would change drastically in just a few days after Dakar's speech. He expected that Titans was about to be destroyed and worried about his life safety, so he had to lead his subordinates to escape into the Sahara Desert. Over time, he got used to the life of mercenaries, but he was unwilling to return to normal.

Six hours later, two Rakelam-class warships were suspended at a low altitude of 30 kilometers west of Niamey. Everyone on the ship took their place and were in the first-level combat readiness state.

Renas was sitting upright on the bench, Maria Antonia sat upright on the commander's seat as the supervisor, and the other two supervisors hid in the room for the reason of "sickness". It's good to have two people in the way, but why should they stay here just because of Niamey's title of "Mercenary City"?

Lenas turned to Maria Antonia and asked, "What the hell do you want to do?"

Maria Antonia smiled mysteriously at Lenas and said, "Sahel is the nest of the remnants of Gene, and Niamey is the largest city in this area. How can we easily let go of it when we pass by here?"

Renas was dissatisfied, but did not respond, thinking secretly: "The enemy flew at low altitudes, the Federal Army's low-orbit surveillance forces could not provide help, and the reconnaissance satellites were limited to the terrain and it was difficult to capture the target. Otherwise, flying directly from high altitudes would save so much trouble. There are many cities in the Sahel, and when will they catch up if they continue to investigate one by one? Abominable supervisors."

At this time, he heard the report of the radar control Meryana: "Mr. Lenas, I found that Minowsky particles were spreading and the radar failed."
