Chapter 32: A Corner of Brown Star's Life
The hot and hot high temperature spread on the cracked earth, and rocks, gravels and sand covered the vision. There was no air, no wind, no sound, no life, and the unbearable heat showed its cruelty and strength unscrupulously, washing the vitality of the planet over and over again. Under the high temperature, the only thing left on the planet was the dry earth, boiling magma, and hideous meteorite craters.
A civilian shuttle machine cut into the orbit of the planet under the scorching sun. After adjusting the direction several times, it began to move towards the planet's surface. Without an atmosphere, it means there is no resistance and no obstacle to the field of view. Everything below can be easily seen.
Unfortunately, nothing can be seen, because this is the back of the planet, and the sun shows its majesty in another half of the sphere. Endless darkness covers this half of the world. Even at a high altitude, all I see is pitch black. I can only see the tragic situation of the ground being ravaged by high temperature from the monitor of the shuttle.
After the shuttle entered the planet, it began to slow down. I don’t know how long it took to fly in the dark. Although the images on the monitor showing the ground scenery kept changing, looking out from the observation window, I still saw only the darkness.
"Didi, Didi", a faint prompt sound suddenly sounded inside the shuttle. The passengers were used to it. This was the sound of the Brown Star Man timer's timer. It was just a normal time sound. However, at this moment, with the detailed prompt sound, the surface world in the field of vision changed.
The lights lit up in the dark, like fireflies on a summer night. Although they are weak, they are persistent and cannot be ignored. One point, two point, three point, the first light is like a clear signal, and more and more light spots are lit. After a few dozen seconds, the dark surface changed from its previous monotony, and there were bright lights everywhere in the field of view.
These lights are distributed in a regular manner. Some are linearly distributed to the distance, and the longest even extends dozens or hundreds of kilometers. Some are arranged in an annular shape, one ring after another. Between each ring, some large machinery is vaguely stacked in one place, and some are fine irregular figures. However, these irregular figures are often spliced together, with depressions facing the protrusions, and the gaps facing the notches, and the spliced tight seams together to form a dense light matrix.
The light spread outward from the first place where it lighted up radioactively. Soon, within a range of thousands of square kilometers, flashing light could be seen everywhere on the ground, but the dark ground became like a bright starry sky.
As the height decreases, you can gradually see from the shuttle machine that the fine glimmer is actually bright lights. Each light represents a building. The dense light means that a large number of artificial buildings are distributed on thousands of square kilometers of land.
The linear lights are straight cylindrical ground passages. The unknown material forms a tightly closed structure, completely isolating the ground passages from the external environment. Through the translucent material, you can see the flat and smooth internal roads. A sign light is lit every fifty meters, and various ground vehicles that are driving outward in a radial shape.
The ring-shaped smelting plant is a unique smelting plant. The innermost ring is built around a large lava lake exposed on the surface. The tall machinery is like hideous giant beasts, entrenched by the lava lake sealed with characteristic alloys, greedily swallowing different types of ores. It won’t take long to spit into the lava lake by them and turn into part of the lava bloodline of the planet. The refined metal is discharged from the rear and into the next layer of ring. Each layer of ring is melted and classified in one piece, from mixed to pure, from chaos to regularity. When a piece of ore mixed with dozens of different metal elements has undergone the baptism of multiple rings, all useless impurities have been screened, and the purified metal components turn into parts of metal ingots and piled up in the warehouse of the outermost ring, waiting to exert their value.
As for those irregular light, it is composed of metal buildings of different shapes. The heights and sizes of these buildings are different, but they are naturally adjusted to their shapes according to the surrounding buildings, maximizing the area of the area occupied. You cannot see the inside of the building, but the regular vibrations that continue to come from the surface can imagine the scene of large machinery running wildly inside. If there is air around, you may have been filled with deafening roars around you, but there is no air here, so everything is going on silently.
Soon, vehicles traveling around the ground passage spread here. These vehicles skillfully entered the open space that had been reserved. Then the hatch opened, and dozens of humans wearing special masks and wrapped in tight-fitting jumpsuits walked out one after another. They waved each other, and then scattered and disappeared in different buildings.
And among all these lights in the dark, or among these buildings, the most conspicuous one is the place that lights up first, not only because it is the source of all light, but also because it is the largest scale.
It was a circular space covering an area of 200 kilometers, wrapped in an oval translucent shield that was thousands of meters high. A lamp was lit every few hundred meters on the outer wall of the shield. The bright lights were connected into one piece. The brilliant lights made the huge shield particularly conspicuous in the darkness.
The civil shuttle hovered around the oval dome for a while, and the height was reduced with ease, and he drove steadily into the port next to the dome. After gliding along the ground for a distance, with a sneer, the third airtight door of the port slowly closed behind it, which meant that the shuttle had entered another world.
A world belonging to the ecological dome.
The blue sky and white clouds, the cool breeze blows on the face, the birds sing and the fragrance of flowers.
Around the surroundings are life buildings with unique and exquisite shapes like works of art. The self-disciplined puppets carry shelves with rich supply of goods and shuttle through the clean and tidy streets. In the bars and restaurants on the street, melodious musical melody is faintly heard. In the fountains on the square, the water spewed out in the sun sets up a beautiful rainbow. On the lawn next to the road, a few small animals looked at the crowd passing by curiously, not afraid of people at all. Sometimes they simply grabbed the legs of passers-by and asked for delicious food. The birds in the sky could not bear the temptation and joined the begging ranks. They simply stopped on the shoulders of passers-by, chirping and never stopped until they got food.
More than 20 brown-star passengers walked out of the shuttle. Although they had just experienced the sudden transformation from a hellish environment in heaven, they had long been accustomed to it. They did not even need anyone to guide them, so they carried their own scarce luggage into the crowd on the street and walked towards the residential areas in the distance.
This is just a corner of the daily life of the New Brown Star Industrial Star. This dome industrial cluster is only one of the six clusters of the Industrial Star. Similar scenes occur on the Industrial Star every day, making the reborn New Brown Star civilization more vibrant.
