Chapter 33 Ruan Xiaohu

Wu Changxin watched Yu Dong walk out of the office and sighed slightly.
Actually, when he heard Yu Dong say that he submitted an article to "Science Fiction World", he felt a little disappointed.
He had read "Mending the Sky" yesterday. This novel of more than 10,000 words surprised Wu Changxin. He did not expect Yu Dong's narrative ability to be so strong.
Most of his previous understanding of Dong came from Hu Yueming, Yu Dong’s teacher, but Hu Yueming only told him that Yu Dong had solid professional knowledge and had published literary criticism articles in Harvest.
But Hu Yueming never told him that Yu Dong's novels were also written so well.
Wu Changxin thought of Su Tong, who had graduated from Jinyi before. Their styles were very different, but their writing skills were equally strong.
Comparing the two, Wu Changxin even likes Yu Dong's writing more. When reading "Mending the Sky", he can often feel a sense of boldness and pleasure.
Wu Changxin still has his old thoughts, believing that science fiction novels cannot be considered elegant, and because they come from the East to write them, they have somewhat lost their status.
But he also has a kind of contradictory openness. Since Yu Dong wants to do it, he will not stop him, and he will not even say unnecessary words. Otherwise, he would not be so willing to grant his leave.
 …
Before Yu Dong set off for Rongcheng, he met Cheng Yanqiu for the second time at the Government Affairs Building.
Golden Arts is not a great skill, and the teachers rarely see him when he raises his head or lowers his head. However, Yu Dong came to school for more than two months and only saw Cheng Yanqiu twice.
The second time I met Cheng Yanqiu, Cheng Yanqiu was arguing with Xu Zhengyong, a teacher in the performance department.
Seeing Yu Dong passing by, the quarrel stopped. Xu Zhengyong showed a guilty expression on his face and smiled at Yu Dong: "Teacher Yu, go to the office."
Yu Dong smiled and nodded: "Go to the office to get something, Teacher Xu is busy."
“Hey, I was just going to the classroom. I met Teacher Cheng and chatted for a few words. Hey, class is about to start here. Let’s go, Teacher Yu, Teacher Cheng.” After saying this, Xu Zhengyong left in a hurry.
After Xu Zhengyong left, Yu Dong looked at Cheng Yanqiu.
He originally wanted to say hello to Cheng Yanqiu, but when he saw the expression "Keep away from strangers" on Cheng Yanqiu's face, he gave up.
Yu Dong nodded to her, then turned around and left.
Cheng Yanqiu who was behind him took the initiative to stop him: "Are you Yu Dong?"
“Well, yes, you are Teacher Cheng Yanqiu, right?” Yu Dong turned his head and responded with a smile.
Cheng Yanqiu hummed, looked at Yu Dong's face carefully, and finally said: "It's not like Yu Dong."
She said this very quietly, as if she was speaking to herself, but Yu Dong still heard it.
He didn't understand what Cheng Yanqiu meant, and Cheng Yanqiu didn't give him a chance to ask. He turned and walked away. His high heels clicked on the ground, and the sound echoed in the empty corridor.
Yu Dong watched her enter the stairs before he came back to his senses. He shook his head slightly. This teacher Cheng really has a personality.
Going to the office to find Liu Changmin, and saying hello to him, Yu Dong boarded the train to Rongcheng.
The train journey from Jinling to Rongcheng took more than thirty hours. Yu Dong could not buy a sleeper berth, so he had to buy a hard seat. Fortunately, he was young now, otherwise he would not have been able to survive the more than thirty hours.
At the beginning, Yu Dong was still in the mood to chat with the people sitting next to him or enjoy the scenery outside the car window. After a few hours, Yu Dong was no longer in this mood.
The environment in the carriage was not very good. Not to mention the crowding, the sound and smell were the most unbearable for Yu Dong.
Some people drink, some eat, some take off their shoes, some smoke...
All kinds of smells and sounds mixed together, creating a noisy environment. Four men sitting next door took out a pair of poker cards that were almost too bad to be read and were playing four-player Landlord. A bunch of people were watching around them.
The card players didn't make much fuss, but the card watchers were extremely anxious, and frequently tried to trick the card players. However, there were many people watching the cards, and their opinions were not unanimous. One person said a pair, and the other said a pair.
A single sheet will do.
The card players didn’t listen to them and got three and two.
If you get it right, no one will say anything. If you get it wrong, the people behind you who are looking at the cards will start shouting.
“Look, if you had just listened to me, you would have been fine.”
Throughout the day, Yu Dong kept his eyes closed to rest his mind, but couldn't fall asleep at all. It wasn't until it got dark and the card players stopped that he finally couldn't bear it any longer and fell asleep.
 …
Ruan Xiaohu leaned against the wall at the junction of the carriages, his eyes constantly jumping back and forth on the passengers in the carriage, like a hunter looking for prey.
His hair is messy, and the bangs on his forehead cover half of his eyes, but they cannot block a pair of shining eyes. He is thin and tall, and looks like he is in his teens.
There was another person standing next to him, a middle-aged man in his forties or fifties who looked more sophisticated. He was wearing a suit that seemed a bit loose, and his beard on his chin was neatly trimmed.
The middle-aged man’s name is Fei Qiang, and Ruan Xiaohu calls him Uncle Fei.
Fei Qiang held a cigarette in his mouth and asked Ruan Xiaohu with squinted eyes: "See clearly, are there any big households?"
Ruan Xiaohu shook his head, "No, but there is a big bag inside a small bag in front, maybe there is a cannon inside."
Fei Qiang couldn't help but laugh and said: "Cannon? You really dare to think about it."
 “I’m just guessing.”
Fei Qiang looked at the big bag inside the small bag that Ruan Xiaohu mentioned for a long time, threw the cigarette butt on the ground, and said to Ruan Xiaohu: "Try it first, and you can push it harder."
Ruan Xiaohu nodded, walked over first, and stood next to the sleeping young man. All the passengers in the two rows were sleeping. The position where he stood just blocked the sight of the people who were not sleeping on the other side.
Fei Qiang then walked over and gently opened the zipper of the denim bag held in the young man's arms, revealing a black briefcase inside.
When he was about to take out his briefcase, the person sitting opposite suddenly opened his eyes and looked at them.
Fei Qiang glared at the man, then revealed the handle of the knife from his pocket.
The passenger was startled and quickly closed his eyes again.
After Fei Qiang took out the briefcase, he thoughtfully zipped it up again.
After that, I took Ruan Xiaohu and ran through three carriages before finding a toilet and entering.
After entering, Fei Qiang couldn't wait to unzip his briefcase, but when he opened the briefcase, he was dumbfounded. He didn't see the banknotes he imagined. There was only a stack of thick paper inside, which was full of words.
But Fei Qiang doesn’t know how to read.
“Damn it!” Fei Qiang cursed, this trip was in vain.
“Is this the cannon you are talking about? I think you look like a cannon.” Fei Qiang expressed his anger at Ruan Xiaohu again and slammed the paper and bag on Ruan Xiaohu’s chest.
Ruan Xiaohu hurriedly caught the paper and bag, and then followed Fei Qiang out.
Fei Qiang glanced at Ruan Xiaohu and said, "Why don't you lose this thing? Keep it for eating or drinking? I'll go find a place to sleep in front and call me in the middle of the night."
After giving the explanation, Fei Qiang left.
