Chapter 770 Progress

After looking around, Pete turned his head to look at Evans and said, "It seems that there are no strangers except you and me."

"I feel that too. There are not many people in this city in total. Just look at the streets and you will know." Evans said while eating.

Pi Te nodded and said, "I like this kind of place. I am all familiar with people and feel safe."

"Haha." Evans smiled and said, "This is the countryside. I still like big cities, places with a lot of people. Only those places have a sense of security. If you can't see people when you run far away, aren't you afraid?"

Pete smiled and said, "You haven't met anyone in this place?"

"No." Evans shook his head and said, "I said, I don't like places with fewer people, how could I make friends here?"

"But you are doing trades with people here, and it is very important for you." Pete said: "This reason is enough. Is it not good to have someone familiar with the local area to inform you of any trouble?"

Evans was stunned when he heard Peter say this, "What you said seems to make sense. But it's too late now."

"Yes. We have to think about it. If someone came here early and came with a purpose similar to ours, where would they be?" asked Pete.

"Restaurants? Bars, hotels... I can't think of any other places besides these places." Evans said.

Pi Te nodded and said, "We'll go to these places to see them later. We should meet a few friends in these places if we have time in the future, or send a cautious person to come here directly."

Evans nodded, thought for a while and smiled, "I suddenly felt like I was a little bit towards those big underground arms dealers."

"Haha. Do it well, maybe you can still invest in Helmet." Pete said jokingly and put down the tableware and said, "Let's go, let's go shopping in other places, find a place to live, and inquire about the news along the way."

"Okay." Evans got up and paid the money and left the restaurant with Pete. Then he wandered around Anthony for a long time, and stayed in a pretty classy hotel until the evening.

"It seems that this place is very peaceful. No strangers have come here recently." Pete said after entering the room.

"Anning? I call this silence... lifeless." Evans sighed, "There are not many people in that bar, and seeing us in it is like seeing aliens. A bunch of hillbillies."

"Haha." Pete smiled and said, "This is why I asked you to make some friends in this place. If you manage it well, maybe you can trade in Anthony in the future. It is better than if you go to that remote place."

"That's right." Evans said and collapsed on the bed. "This bed is pretty good. Barnes will arrive tomorrow."

"After getting the equipment, we go to that Shitou Mountain. When is the specific time for the transaction?" asked Pete.

"The day after tomorrow. The day after tomorrow, we met at the trading location. We collected the money when inspecting the goods, and then handed them over the car together. Everyone patted their butts and went their own way. That's it." Evans said.

Pi Te nodded and said, "Then we have to ambush there early in the morning."

"No problem." Evans immediately said: "When Barnes arrives tomorrow, we will start to make arrangements. Oh, by the way, the person in charge of explosives will come, too."

"This is not a problem. Tell him what we ask at that time. Just help us set it up. Let's do it tomorrow evening." Peter said.

"Listen to you," Evans said, standing up, stretching, and then walking towards the bathroom, "I'm going to take a shower and go to bed. Otherwise, I won't be able to hold on tomorrow."

The next morning, shortly after Pete and Evans had breakfast, Barnes called. After a brief call, Evans took Pete away from Anthony and came again to the road near their trading location. At this moment, Barnes, who was driving a Dodge Pickup, was already waiting here with another person.

The other person was a fat man, but he looked much more refreshing than the bearded Barnes. Evans stepped forward and hugged the fat man and introduced him to Pitt, "This is our explosion expert Jed Lewis." After that, he said to the fat man again, "This is my brother, Pitt."

After Pete shook hands with the fat man, Evans looked at Barnes and said, "Everything went well on the road?"

"So smooth." Barnes said as he opened the door, took a rectangular box from the back of the car, and then a large backpack. "This is what you guys use. Lewis's stuff is in the cargo box."

Evans took the equipment and said, "Go and go there. We're going to tell you about our plan first."

Just as Pete and the others began to prepare, Tucker and Evans walked out of Washington's airport while yawning, and got into a car to pick them up after leaving the airport.

"Mr. Miller wants to see you." The man in charge of picking them up said after getting in the car.

"Are you very anxious? Can I go home and sleep for a while?" Eric asked.

The man in the driving position shrugged and said, "Maybe you can only take a nap in the car for a while."

"Okay." Eric responded helplessly and leaned on the seat and fell asleep.

About half an hour later, the car drove to the gate of the headquarters of the Intelligence Bureau. At Tucker's reminder, Eric opened his glasses and followed Tucker into the building in a daze. After passing the security check, he came to Miller's office. But as soon as he arrived at the floor where they were, Miller seemed to be waiting for them. After seeing them, he waved his hand to them and took them into the conference room.

"Sit all. I have someone prepare coffee for you and you can deliver it in a while. I know you are tired, but things have to be done, and we obviously don't have much time to waste at the moment, so we have to take action."

Eric seemed to be not very concerned about what Miller said, but saw him rubbing his eyes while yawning, so Miller could only look at Tucker and said, "How is the situation in Los Angeles?"

"We have completed the control arrangement. The personnel are in place and the monitoring equipment can be delivered one after another today. In addition, our people also rented a house next to the guy's rented house. I think we can all control this guy's every move." Tucker said.

"Very good." Miller nodded and said, "Remember not to let him notice, just stare at it."
