Chapter 480
In Houston, after hanging up the phone, Pete followed Donovan with a little disappointed. Everyone thought he was sad that he couldn't go home, so he didn't say anything to him. It was not until after boarding the plane that Donovan spoke: "Why are you feeling so depressed? Have you broken up with your girlfriend?"
Pete knew Donovan was amusing, and after a smile, he said, "Nothing. Maybe he just felt too tired."
"It seems you need a holiday in a hurry." Donovan said, looking at Diego sitting in another row and said, "I don't know what will happen this time, but I will try to arrange something easier for you."
"No," Pete shook his head and said, "I can do it. Maybe it's better if I have time to lie in bed and sleep."
An hour and a half later, Pete and the others arrived in Phoenix. Although it was the second half of the night, there were already people waiting for them outside the airport.
Two people came. After seeing Diego, they came to him. After a brief exchange between the three, the two people handed Diego something.
After taking these things, Diego turned around and came back to Team 009, handed the things in his hand to Donovan and said, "Let's drive away. This is the car key. The car is parked in the parking lot. We will follow their car after a while, and they will take us there."
Donovan took the key and looked at it. It was the keys of the three cars. He turned to hand the other two hands to Morris and Pete respectively, and then took everyone to the parking lot.
These three cars were easy to find, so they parked not far from the entrance and exit of the parking lot. After driving out of the parking lot, there was a car on the side of the road, and immediately drove off the side of the road and led the road in front.
"Follow them." Diego pointed to the car leading the way in front of the first car in the co-pilot position.
In this way, the four cars quickly drove into the downtown area of Phoenix and headed south to a road called 23rd Street. After driving about five or six hundred meters on this street, they turned east into a street called Tenny. They turned into an alley on the side of the road in the middle of this street, and stopped after driving along the alley for a while.
Seeing the car in front stopping and turning off the engine, Pete immediately pulled the car aside and stopped. After the car stopped, he opened the door and got out. The two people leading the way said a few more words to Diego and drove back and continued to drive out along the front of the alley. After a while, they disappeared from sight.
Diego came to everyone, pointed to a building beside the alley and said, "The second floor, what we prepared for us is on the second floor." After that, he took out the key and came to the front of the building, which should be a safe exit, opened the lock on it, pushed open the door and took the others in.
After entering, there was a stairwell. After reaching the second floor, Diego opened the door of a room near the security exit and turned on the light inside after entering the room.
Pete looked at this place and couldn't say what the place was doing for a while. It might be a place like commercial and residential buildings. But what is certain is that the place is very dilapidated. Not only are there messy graffiti in the aisle, but the same is true in this house. In some places, there are also some domestic garbage that has obviously been stored for some days.
"I thought the people I wanted to protect were here..." Morris said.
"How is this possible? This is not a prison. The place in Romania is much better than here." Matt said.
Hearing them say this, Diego immediately said, "About that prison, I advise you not to say anything and not to miss a word. I am not threatening you, but to advise you, otherwise you will be in trouble."
Donovan looked at Diego and turned to look at the others and said, "He is right. That place is confidential. If the Intelligence Agency leaks out, there will be big trouble. Naturally, he will not let anyone who makes him in trouble easily. Do you understand?"
"I understand." Pete immediately responded and looked at the things in the room. These were several large boxes. They were placed against the wall one by one. Judging from the smooth surface of these boxes, they were obviously just put here.
Diego was very satisfied with Donovan's reaction, so he didn't say anything more, but pointed at each box in turn and said: "These are equipment, guns, ammunition, vests, etc."
Donovan signaled to Pete and Morris, and the three of them opened the boxes. The first two boxes were guns, while the second two were boxed bullets, tactical vests and bulletproof vests. Among the two boxes were telescopes, radio stations, helmets, goggles and some other equipment.
Pete picked up a rifle and looked at it. "m16." He said and handed it to the others behind him. After looking at these, Morris said, "Fortunately, we didn't let us hold the worn Kalashnikov, this is what I am familiar with."
"Check it all. If there is no problem, you can get them on your own." Diego said.
Donovan didn't say anything. After signaling to everyone, he divided his labour and checked different equipment. Just as they were just starting, a ringtone suddenly came from the phone that Diego was carrying with him.
He took out the phone and glanced at it, then spoke to Donovan, then walked aside and answered the phone and started speaking in Spanish.
"Who is he calling? Girlfriend?" Morris said.
Ochoa glanced at Diego and turned around and said, "It seems not. The tone of this speech is wrong, it seems something is wrong."
Just as Ochoa was talking, Diego hung up the phone and turned around and walked over. He came directly to Donovan and said expressionlessly: "There is something happening here. The person who was in the safe room just called and he said something was wrong on the road outside. It seemed that someone was staring at it."
"Who do we want to protect?" Donovan asked.
"Yes," Diego said: "She said she was likely to be discovered."
Donovan turned his head and looked at the others and said, "Pack up the things and let's go immediately. Quick." After saying that, he looked at Diego and continued, "How far is this place?"
"Ten kilometers. It's in the suburbs of the east of the city." Diego said.
"Then hurry up." Donovan said, looking at the others, "each brings the radio station and prepares for a gunfight."
