Chapter 25 Head-to-head?

The whole team did not stay here after lunch. Instead, a man named Herrera, who greeted Bell Bray, took everyone to look around. He heard that this person was Bell Bray's wife's uncle, the owner of the house.

Pete didn't know what they were looking at, but he just heard that he was bringing him to see where the factory was about to be built and the surrounding environment. Along the way, Bell Bray talked and laughed with these people without any language barriers. In addition, he and the woman he had been following were the same, and he talked fluent Spanish to the locals from time to time.

Just as she was almost looking around the town, the phone on the mysterious woman suddenly rang. She took out the phone and looked at her and smiled mysteriously. Then she looked at Pitt, who had been paying attention to her every move, and said, "I'll answer the phone. Don't follow me, I won't walk out of your sight." After that, she walked to the side with the phone. After answering, she immediately put away her smile and seemed to be very serious and communicated with the people on the other side of the phone.

"Who do you think she is?" Ellie asked Pitt in a low voice.

Pete looked at Ellie and shook his head slightly to express his unclearity, but he had another answer in his heart. That is, this woman must have come from a government department with law enforcement rights, and is a person like an investigator or agent who works in the field rather than in the office.

The woman made the phone call for about five minutes. After putting it away, she came back to Pitt and Ailly and looked at Bell who was talking to someone. Bray seemed to have thought for a moment and said to Pitt beside her: "Do you a favor. Can you scream your boss over? I have something to say to him. Don't use your phone to walk over and say to him quietly."

"Is it a very urgent matter?" Pete asked in a low voice instead of going over immediately.

The woman seemed in a hurry, and after hearing Pete's words, "It's closely related to what everyone is going to do below. Scream your boss. Don't worry, there will be no problem, it's safe now."

Pete and Ailly looked at each other, and after seeing Ailly nodding slightly towards him, Pit quickly walked behind Donovan standing beside Bell Bray and whispered quickly in his ear: "That lady, please come over. It seems that there is something important to tell you."

"What's important?" Donovan looked at Pitt and quickly turned his head to look at the woman who was still standing with Ailey behind him. After thinking for a while, he greeted Evans for a while, then turned around and walked towards the woman with Pitt.

"What happened?" Donovan asked after walking to the woman.

"I received the message. Someone took action." The woman replied.

Peter noticed that Donovan was not surprised to hear the news, but said calmly: "Is the news accurate? Did it come here?"

"It should be about the same." The woman said, looking at the direction of Juarez to the north. "My people told me that the people there have been summoned. There are about twenty people, and I don't know what weapons to use yet."

"Are they on the way here?" Donovan asked again.

"No. I just said it was just a gathering together." The woman said and looked at the time. "I think they would come at night, maybe in the middle of the night. Otherwise, in such a flat place, as long as someone comes and comes far away, they will find it. They will not be so stupid and don't worry, because there must be those people's eyeliners here, which can control our every move."

Donovan listened and looked around, then turned to Pitt on the side and said, "What do you think?"

"I think she said it's right." Pete said as he looked at the locals around him. "This reminds me of what we looked like when we were in the Middle East. Those armed personnel can always grasp the exact routes of our patrol teams through various eyeliners, and then think about how to ambush us. I think the situation here is similar. If you spend the night here, I think our personnel, weapons, and sentry information will be mastered by the other party."

"Do you overestimate them?" Ailly said, "The feeling you are talking about is a specially trained scout."

Donovan shook his head and said, "This does not require special training. The gangs in this place are frequent, and the methods of doing things are all made, which must be very effective. In addition, the other party is obviously prepared, so it is better to be careful."

"So how are you going to deal with it?" the woman asked.

Donovan looked at the woman and whispered: "Since we know they are coming, let's wait for them here. Isn't that what you expected?"

"Stay?" Ailey looked at Donovan in confusion, "Shouldn't we protect Bell? Bray left first?"

Donovan waved his hands and said, "It's not the time to discuss this. You will understand after that." After that, he looked at Bell. Bray continued, "He will be over here in a while. We will start making arrangements immediately after we go back."

"Will he live in the house he came today?" asked Pete.

"Yes. You should have heard that it was his wife's uncle's house. The leader was named Herrera, who was very reliable." Donovan turned around and walked towards Bell Bray, and after taking two steps, he said: "Maybe this uncle named Herrera can still help us."

Donovan's decision was undoubtedly to fight head-on with the killer sent by the other party here. This surprised Pitt, because it was a security mission after all, and there was no reason why he was waiting for the danger to come without avoiding it even though he knew that there was danger. But thinking of this, Pitt couldn't help but look at the woman beside him. Obviously, this woman was more complicated than he could think of. Even Pitt felt that they were not serving the whole thing, but the woman in front of him. This mission was developing from a simple defense towards a combat mission similar to a snake out of the hole. But if so, then the question came again. What was the real purpose of this trip? Is it for the man named Santos Alvarez? What background or important value does this person have?

Just as Pete was considering these issues, the mysterious lady beside him spoke again: "There are twenty people on the other side, maybe there will be more. Do you think you can handle it?"

Pete glanced at the woman and said, "What's the matter with your opinion?"

"I have no idea." The woman smiled and continued, "I just reminded me that if there is a situation, you think you have a way to deal with it. I hope this sentence is not just a casual statement, otherwise it will really be dead.
