Chapter 3 Pete's Highlights (Part 2)

Originally, Pitt had no chance to meet Donovan again in this mission, after all, each had specific tasks. After driving out the militants, Pitt and his team actually ended. But fate liked various accidents. This time, their opponents didn't want to be eliminated just like this. These people tried to strike in desperate situations. They didn't run into the trap, but they found danger after stepping in with one foot. Donovan felt something was wrong and he didn't want to give up. This operation was an opportunity for him, a rare opportunity to show off. So he made a temporary adjustment, changed to ambush to encirclement, and took the initiative to attack the armed forces who had not yet entered the trap.

As the attacked party, these armed personnel would certainly not surrender. In fact, not only did they not, they were also thinking about causing some trouble for their powerful opponents. So they took advantage of their familiarity with the local geographical conditions and while retreating Donovan and others to a village, they mobilized their companions from other places to support them. Later, they thought that their actions were more like using tricks to lure the enemy.

Donovan immediately encountered trouble after entering the small village. Not only was the streets narrow, but there were many curves, and the houses were also next to each other. After entering the village, the view was poor and I couldn't see how far it was. Moreover, the place where Donovan entered the village was still a relatively low position compared to the center of the village. So a fierce close-range exchange of fire broke out in the village. This time, it completely deviated from the original plan and made the entire battle more difficult.

This made Pitt, who had already been sitting on the bench and waiting for the end of the game, and then entered the standby state again. Soon after, as more and more militants headed to the village, an ambush he had planned was turning into a siege by the other side. The squad where Pitt was located was transferred up as expected and soon fired with the enemy.

In the small village, Donovan and his situation was not too bad. He quickly realized that the relationship between the offensive and defensive sides had changed, so he did not let the Marines attack randomly, but quickly led the team away from a relatively low position and instead captured a relatively high place in the east of the village and stood there. However, armed personnel continued to appear outside the village, and the outside of the village was relatively open. From time to time, people were shooting cold guns from outside the village to the place where Donovan and his hiding. This made Donovan and his others unable to leave the village easily. This made the battle time long and the battle continued until the sun set. The night seemed to give the other party hope. In the middle of the night, the other party took action again, and they worked inside and outside to try to attack the platoon where Donovan was.

These militants are very familiar with the locals and should have received help from the locals. The fierce battle for most of the day made them think of countermeasures. So under the cover of night, they carried rockets, recoilless cannons, mortars and other weapons to launch a fierce attack on the area occupied by Donovan, which made Donovan, who had been fighting fiercely for most of the day, fall into a passive state. The first thing they had to face was the problem of insufficient ammunition caused by long-term combat exceeding expectations. And while Donovan was attacked, judging from the reconnaissance of high-altitude drones, there were other people moving towards Donovan and the others at this moment.

So the Marine Corps where Pitt was located received an order to go for reinforcements. This time the meaning was different from the last time and became a real support. It was this support operation that once again allowed Donovan to see Pitt's shining points.

At that time, Donovan and his men were fighting fire with armed personnel in a village outside the town. On the outside of the village, armed personnel also attacked Donovan and others from time to time.

The reinforcement route of Pitt's platoon was not smooth. In order to save time, they received an order to go directly to the village, but they encountered a group of militants just when they left the town.

It was said that it was an encounter, but it seemed to be intercepted for Pitt and the others. After all, they were riding in transportation, and in this war and in the dark, they were undoubtedly in the bright spot. In this battle, the other party seemed to have a strong purpose and targetedness, which was to surround the points and at least delay their actions.

Amid the dense gunfire, Pitt and the others did not stop. Because according to previous reconnaissance, they were in an open area at this time. If they stopped at this moment, starting to fight back would undoubtedly make their own side a target. So Pitt and the others gritted their teeth and continued to go to the small town where Donovan was, but they didn't run far away. A Hummer walking in the front was suddenly hit by an explosive. After a harsh explosion, although the Hummer did not disintegrate, it lost control and hit the telephone pole on the side of the road.

This forced others to rescue the people in the car. After driving for a while, the other vehicles quickly left the road and prepared to get off the car and launch a counterattack. However, just as the car stopped, everyone had just got off and had not yet set off the team and launched the team, the opponent took the lead in attacking.

Fortunately, although many of the people in Pitt's platoon are recruits, lack practical experience, but they are well-trained. They have an absolute advantage in weapons, equipment or firepower, so after a counterattack, they quickly stabilized and hit the opponent's attack back. The first person to take the man to counterattack was Pitt. Although he did not receive the order from the squad leader, in this squad, the comrades who were trapped in Hong and escaped were even more obeyed Pitt's command. So after he got off the car, he immediately launched a fierce counterattack in the direction of the opponent.

Later, Pete's actions at that time were considered extremely critical. This largely bought valuable time for his side and avoided the situation where the entire team could not coordinate and effectively counterattack and suffered major losses in panic.

The real bright spot has not yet arrived. Just after stabilizing his position, Pitt found his squad leader and asked to immediately leave contact and continue to rush to reinforce the besieged Donovan and the others. At this moment, Pitt's platoon leader did receive an order urging them to arrive at the village as soon as possible, because the situation was getting worse there. Originally, his mission was not to fight fiercely with militants who had no idea who they were. They wanted to support and withdraw from the friendly forces.
