Chapter 3 Fighting Heng'an

When Jie Li advanced south, he moved almost half of the Khan Court to Yinshan.

Jie Li was not idle at all after he arrived at Yinshan. He first set up his tent, and then ordered people to go south to invade the Tang army, hoping to use the Turkic commander who was good at horse fighting to involve the Tang army, and find a gap to break it.

But he was helpless that Li Jing had a steadfast military wielding, and he was in charge of the Mayi line in Yunzhong and was like an iron bucket. The Turkic light cavalry attacked him many times without any results, but many casualties were injured.

Since Jie Li went south personally, he naturally did not come to simply defend Dingxiang. He also wanted to recapture the two counties of Mayi and Yunzhong to stabilize the southeastern border of the Turks.

So after a lot of weighing the pros and cons, Jie Li decided to keep his tent in Yinshan, and personally led 100,000 elite troops south to force the Heng'an, the important town of Yunzhong County.

From Xinjiang to Hetao, the city of Yunzhong was born.

Heng'an Town was anciently known as Yunzhong City. It originated from Zhao, one of the seven heroes of the Warring States Period. It was originally built by King Wuling of Zhao to prevent the Hu people. It was then built several times by the Qin and Han dynasties. Although it was a few rises and falls, it has become a northern city.

With Li Jing's talent and his back to the city, although Li Jing's men and horses were much less than Jie Li's hands, but Jie Li's attacks on the city walls were difficult to reach half a step.

"I didn't expect the Tang army to be so timid that they could not come out of the city!" Seeing another wave of soldiers siege retreating, Jie Li stepped on the horse's back and patted his hand heavily.

Although Jie Li led the elite Turkic troops this time, he was mainly light cavalry and had few siege equipment.

Moreover, the Turks were born on horseback and were not good at fighting in the field, let alone attacking cities.

The battle of siege was originally the director of the Tang people, while the Turks were good at fighting in the wild horses. However, this time Jie Li had no choice but to attack the enemy's strengths.

"Khan, this will not be a solution after all. We should find another good solution." Just when Jie Li was at a loss, Jie Li's confidant Zhao Deyan came to Jie Li and told Jie Li.

Jie Li heard this and thought Zhao Deyan had a good idea, he hurriedly asked, "Sir, can you have a solution?"

Zhao Deyan said: "I, Turkic, still have a killer move, so why don't Khan use him?"

Killing move? When did Jie Li have a killing move when the Tang army had? Jie Li was confused at first when he heard Zhao Deyan's words, but then Jie Li thought about it carefully and suddenly thought of someone and asked, "Sir, are you talking about the proton?"

Zhao Deyan nodded and said to Jie Li: "If Li Ke is used as bait in front of the two armies and persuade him to surrender, to move the hearts of the Tang soldiers in Heng'an Town, even if they cannot take Heng'an Town, they will greatly damage the morale of the Tang army and help our Turkic army attack the city."

"Is Li Ke used it as bait?" Jie Li frowned slightly after hearing Zhao Deyan's words.

Jie Li was rampant in the world and dominated the grassland in the past, relying on the Turkic spirit cavalry that was invincible. When did he use such inferior means?

Before the Turks and the Tang Dynasty, the two armies of more than 100,000 people were attacked, Jie Li used a young man as bait to force the Tang army to submit. Jie Li felt embarrassed to think about it.

Could it be that his dignified Jie Li Khan really got to this point?

Jie Li asked, "This is probably going to damage my Khan's reputation."

Seeing Jie Li in a dilemma, Zhao Deyan said, "Li Ke is a proton. The Tang army attacked our Turkic land, and the Tang army was responsible for the crime. We, Turkic, were just taking back the situation. As long as we can recover Mayi and Yunzhong County, even if the Khan acted a little more ruthlessly, what's wrong?"

Mayi and Yunzhong are of great importance, and are related to the stability and gains and losses of Yinshan. Judging from the current situation, if the Turks just blindly attack, it would be a dream to win Heng'an.

Compared with Mayi, Yunzhong and the entire Yinshan Mountain, Jie Li’s personal gains and losses are indeed nothing.

After listening to Zhao Deyan's suggestion, Jie Li finally nodded and agreed.

Jie Li was not worried that Li Ke would not submit, because in Jie Li's impression, last year the Tang Dynasty conquered Shuofang, so Jie Li almost took Li Ke's life. In the end, although Li Ke survived, he was exiled by Jie Li, and shepherded sheep in the bitter and cold land of Yinshan Mountain for more than a year.

In order to deal with the Turks, Li Shimin ignored Li Ke's life and death. Li Ke thought that he should have had a lot of resentment towards Li Shimin. This time, Jie Li used his life to hold him back, so he would not worry that Li Ke would not do what he said.

Li Kegui was the prince of the Tang Dynasty and the king of Shu. If he persuaded surrender in front of the battlefield, it would have a great blow to the morale of the Tang army. That was the time for him to seize Heng'an.

"Bring the protons to Ben Khan." Jie Li listened to Zhao Deyan's advice and immediately told the personal guard behind him.

"The third prince, Khan has a 100,000 army in the city. The Tang army on the city still wants to resist stubbornly. Khan invites the third prince to come forward and persuade Heng'an to surrender. What do the third prince think?"

Li Ke was also surprised when he heard Zhao Deyan's words. He did not expect that Jie Li would do such a thing in front of the two armies.

Jie Li has always boasted of himself as a grassland eagle. Although he acted ruthlessly, he was still open-minded.

However, the way of forcing Li Ke to persuade him to surrender was quite sinister and used any means. It was not like Jie Li's usual style, but rather like Zhao Deyan's actions. So when Li Ke was brought to the city by the rear army, he guessed the initiator behind this matter.

The matter came suddenly, and Li Ke didn't have much time to think about countermeasures, but he knew very clearly that if he really did what Zhao Deyan said, he would be ridiculed by the people of the world.

The prince of the Tang Dynasty represents the dignity of the royal family of the Tang Dynasty. In front of outsiders, his every move is related to the Tang Dynasty. Although he is still young, all this has nothing to do with age. This is what flows in his blood from Li Ke since he was born.

It is conceivable that the picture of a dignified prince standing under the city and persuading his ministers to surrender and asking them to kneel to the Hu people would be so ironic that if Li Ke did it, it would be difficult to cleanse the stains in history in a thousand years.

"The third son of Emperor Taizong, Wang Ke, was a magistrate at a young age, and lived in the Turks. The Duke of the Guards fought in the north and fought in Heng'an. The King of Shu was ordered by the Turks and persuaded to surrender to the city."

With this possibility, Li Ke didn't dare to think about it any more.

Li Ke asked for the magistrate, and went north to the Turks for several years. What was the purpose of? Is it to make the world disdain at this time? Or to add a joke to the boring Tang history?

But what if he refuses? Then what is he going to face?

Jie Li's anger, Turkic swords and axes, and even lost his life.

After a brief thought, a trace of bitterness appeared on Li Ke's face. It was already this time, but he didn't expect that he would still have to face such a situation.

"What? Does the third prince find it difficult?" Jie Li held the hilt of the knife in his hand and asked Li Ke.

"The situation is like this, do I have any choice?" Li Ke said helplessly, but he had already made a decision in his heart.
