Chapter 529 Dazed (Last Part)

It is precisely because he has seen many tragedies that he wants to travel to these places and record what he sees and hears in these places. As one of his records of preaching Buddhist teachings, he travels thousands of miles and his knowledge is far more real and perfect than in books.

But... things were not as he thought... Every city he experienced and every people he had traveled, and he encountered no suffering at all, just as if there had never been war here, oh... I did not have experienced war. It is said that except for a few limited countries such as Gaochang, other Western Regions countries surrendered directly.

Even though he had never experienced war, according to what Xuanzang thought, shouldn't these people live a hard life? But what he saw was not like. The officials of the Han Dynasty... he didn't know how to describe it. Everyone in the Han Dynasty seemed to be different from the ruling class that Xuanzang had seen.

They all seemed to regard these people as their greatest wealth, providing them with the food they financed, distributing land, distributing sheep, poultry, and livestock, and teaching them how to grow food.

More importantly, all of this has Dharma to follow and traces to follow.

Those police officers who were almost all over the Han Dynasty should be officials... In the Tang Dynasty, these minor officials had a bad relationship with ordinary people at all. It was easy to see the King of Hell and the difficult devils, Xuanzang understood the truth that it was difficult for him to deal with.

But it seems that there has been a call here. These policemen... in Xuanzang's opinion... they almost look like servants of these people, even if they have no affiliation.

Have you ever seen people helping to repair houses, harvest crops, notify people to pay attention to cattle and sheep when it snows or rains, and even lose cattle and sheep to help people find cattle and sheep. Some people's children are sick, so have they helped to find officials who ride horses to find doctors? It can be said that they do almost everything that can help the people!

Can you find such an official in the Tang Dynasty? Not to mention the Tang Dynasty, or even to be honest... Xuanzang never dared to think of such a situation in his own thoughts... in the Buddhist kingdoms he fantasized about.

Because in what he thought, the people had food, clothes, houses, no war, no illness, and the best world.

And all this around proves... it was the big man who really limited his imagination.

Therefore, along the way, Xuanzang had never seen a police officer with bad relationships with the people. Similarly, if these police officers had any troubles and needed help from the people, then the enthusiasm of these people had never felt it.

When he set out from Chang'an and headed for the Han Dynasty, the Tang villages he passed by on the road, although he was very enthusiastic about him when he saw him, he was still guarded against strangers and a numbness... These people were not interested in other things except their own days.

Or they don’t have time to be interested because it’s hard for them to even eat and eat.

But it is different here. This has to be said that the newspapers of the Han Dynasty were also found in the Tang Dynasty. Xuanzang already knew this. He knew that this was done by the Han Dynasty first, and in Xuanzang's view, the newspapers of the Han Dynasty were unprecedented.

In these newspapers, they are not like those articles written by Hanlin scholars, with very rigorous words and sentences, but are writing everything in plain and straightforward vernacular, because this is to make every people understand and understand.

The articles written by Hanlin scholars and literary masters of the Tang Dynasty did not say whether the people recognized the words or not, even if someone read them, they would not know what they meant.

The great vernacular language of the Great Han Dynasty informs all the people about what the Great Han government has been doing recently, what the Great Han government wants to do in the future, what major events have happened to the Great Han Dynasty, what new research measures have been taken, and what new ideas have been taken, all of which will be disclosed in newspapers.

So almost everyone in the Han Dynasty knew the national policies, knew what the Han Dynasty would do next, and what their leaders wanted them to do.

Similarly, these people were willing to discuss the policies of these countries because they felt that these policies were closely related to them. Similarly, the rapid popularization of the Han Dynasty was something Xuanzang had never seen before.

In this, Xuanzang saw the role played by the Dahan Police Department very clearly. Although governments at all levels gradually issued policies to implement them, the Police Department could almost easily implement these policies into a certain village.

In the Tang Dynasty, in some remote mountainous areas, the majesty of the village heads is comparable to that of the law, but it is even more effective than the laws of the Tang Dynasty.

In some mountainous villages, the Tang Dynasty laws may not be effective, but the rules of the village chief or the village are absolutely effective.

But this definitely doesn't work in the Han Dynasty, because the existence of the Police Department almost all villages know this, and similarly, all villages are implemented in accordance with the Han Dynasty's laws.

And these are the result of the continuous accumulation of things such as the Police Department, newspapers, etc.

Another thing that shocked Xuanzang was the construction of the Han Dynasty, such as the Tang Dynasty and even all dynasties before. When the dynasty flourished, the rulers would build large-scale construction, but all of them were replaced by corvee labor, which would cause the people to suffer.

When he first entered the Han Dynasty and saw such a large-scale construction, Xuanzang felt that the Han Dynasty was just like this, and felt that the Han Dynasty was promoting the power of the Han Dynasty, which was all about the blood of the people. It was not until later when he came into contact with a construction site where the Han Dynasty built, he realized how big the difference between the Han Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty.

All the people employed by the Han Dynasty had high salaries, which were much higher than the salary they had to stay at home to farm. Not only that, although they were doing hard labor and needed to work in the wild for a long time, it was a little harder.

But they ate better than many of the little squires who did business in the Tang Dynasty! They had meat almost every day, and they ate white flour steamed buns, and they were full, and they had three meals a day! They also had a fixed working time every day, and there was a day off every seven days.

But most of the time, if the construction period is over, the workers are unwilling to rest and take the initiative to work, but as long as they work overtime, they will still have overtime salary.

Xuanzang had never heard of the word overtime salary before.

It was not until that moment that Xuanzang suddenly understood why the Han Dynasty carried out such a large-scale construction of roads, railways and other projects, but no people resisted it, and even many people hoped to join these engineering teams.
