The world's most amazing book
Ni Kuang
In my mind, the world's most amazing book is the martial arts and monster novel "The Legend of the Swordsman of Shushan" written by the owner of Huanzhu Lou. This statement can only be reflected in two ways: those who are fascinated by Shushan must agree, but those who have never read Shushan must shake their heads. It is not surprising that they have never read Shushan and shake their heads, because they are naturally not enough to understand the wonders of this book.
It is not very clear that the first episode was first published before the War of Resistance Against Japan, and it was written one after another, at least until 1948. A total of 55 episodes were published, but it was not finished. There are five sequels, including some "sister works", such as "Long Mei Live Collection", "Seven Shorts of Emei", "Seven Girls of Wudang", "Nineteen Heroes of Qingcheng", etc., but they can all be regarded as works in the same system as "Swordsman of Shushan".
The wonder of "The Legend of Swordsman in Shushan" is that the whole book is full of rich fantasy power. There has never been any novel in ancient and modern times, both in China and abroad. It is full of such wonderful and incredible fantasy power. As for the martial arts novel itself, the works of the master Huanzhu Lou are rigorous in structure and fluent in writing, and cannot match Jin Yong; their personality is swelling and their emotions are modern, but they are not as good as Gu Long; but in terms of the rich imagination, there is no one before, and there is no one who comes later. Huanzhu recognizes the second, and no one dares to recognize the first one.
Hong Kong martial arts novel lovers are very unfamiliar with "The Legend of the Swordsman of Shushan", but Hong Kong and Taiwan martial arts novel authors are absolutely familiar with it. Looking at any of the so-called "new-style martial arts novels" in the past twenty years, you can find the shadow of the work of the master of Huanzhu. This does not mean that every author is plagiarizing the work of Huanzhu Tower, but only explains one situation: it is difficult to get rid of his influence under the light of a generation of masters, and only those who also have the same skills can be exceptions.
As for the martial arts novel itself, "Shushan" is not the best in all the works of Huanzhu. "Shushan" is majestic, magnificent, covering everything from heaven to earth, but the best is "The Story of the Sea of Clouds and Seas" by Huanzhu Tower. It has a total of seven episodes, but it has not been finished.
Another reason why Hong Kong martial arts novel lovers are unfamiliar with "The Legend of Swordsman" is that the book is so bad in the Hong Kong version and the school schedule is that there are so many typos, it is almost impossible for people who have read the original version before to understand it. As early as more than ten years ago, I had published a newspaper and wanted to solicit a set of original versions published by Shanghai Zhengqi Bookstore, but there was no result, and it is probably even more difficult now. More than ten years ago, I made a wish to organize "The Legend of Swordsman" and add new punctuation, delete some of the 55 episodes of the books that have been unbroken and republished. I dare to say that its sales must be above the martial arts novels published now. However, one is busy, and the other is that local publishers have little confidence in it, so it has not been realized.
The reason why the book "The Legend of Swordsman in Shushan" is out of reach is that the author has established a "ideological system" (recklessly called it) in this book, which has certain rules and steps, pointing out the way from a "man" to an "immortal" and "superman" to become a law for cultivating immortals.
The whole book of "Shushan" talks about how "cultivists" work hard to achieve the right result. In the writing of "Returning to the Pearl, there are two ways and final goals of practicing Taoism:
Jia: Golden Immortal (God Immortal) - Live in heaven forever, without disasters or disasters, free and free, and live with heaven and earth.
B: Earth Immortal (Sanxian) - Every few years, there will be a disaster, which is called "Heavenly Tribulation". If you can survive, you have to wait for the next heavenly Tribulation; if you can survive, you may either have both body and spirit destroyed (everything is over), or you may have the destruction of the soul (soul) and be reborn to cultivate the next world.
There are many reasons why scattered immortals cannot cultivate to celestial immortals: either because of their stubbornness, because of their treacherous nature, or because of mistakes, and various kinds of differences. During the cultivation process, you should be trembling, not negligent, and not have any evil deeds.
This was originally an evolution of Buddhist and Taoist thought, but it evolved in novels, and so thoroughly, it was only found in the book "Shushan".
Naturally, the rich imagination of the master of Huanzhu Tower did not come out of thin air. It was mostly inspired by ancient Chinese books and the result of the author's extensive reading of books. For example, in "Journey to the West", the "Ruyi Golden Cudgel" weighing 13,500 kilograms was originally a "stator" used to measure the depth of rivers when Dayu was controlling the flood. In Huanzhu's pen, all the objects when Dayu controlled the flood became an unparalleled magic weapon, and one of the "Yu Ding" casts all the things on the earth and mountains and rivers in it, and even the rhythm between heaven and earth is in it. The objects when Dayu controlled the flood would become "treasures", which were naturally influenced by "Journey to the West".
Some of the monsters and fairies in Huanzhu's writings can also be found in "Shan Hai Jing", but some are really incredible. For example, a monster "The Cold Snake" entrenched in the Great Light Realm of Antarctica, I don't know what it is. This monster has nine bodies and six heads, and it will turn into a stunning beauty. As a result, the "primordial spirit" of the stunning beauty refined by the monster was taken away by a person's wife. This "woman" was originally a big spider, hidden in her husband's chest. This is just one of the hundreds of stories in Huanzhu's works, which can be seen from the whole leopard, and it can also show how strange this book is.
