Chapter 3 (1) Sauron's Decision
Section 1
"Look, is that Harry Potter?"
"No, I should be his brother, you know, Harry Potter wears glasses."
...
Sauron walked alone in the corridor of the castle, not caring about the fingers and whispers of the students around him. After that night, Slytherin's students' attitude towards Sauron did not change much, but Sauron could feel that they were more afraid of him. Students from other academys were more curious about Sauron. In fact, many students did not know Sauron's existence before yesterday.
Everything in Hogwarts seems magical, at least for new first-year students, although they are often badly slapped by strange, moving stairs and doors. The ghost of pranks, Pipi, a grumpy, trouble-loving administrator Filch, and his skinny cat named "Mrs. Loris", have become nightmares for freshmen, and in fact, for most Hogwarts students.
However, Sauron is an exception. Sauron spent a lot of time looking at the distribution map of the Hogwarts classroom in the Slytherin common room, so he was not worried about getting lost. As for the Pipi ghost, it looked a little afraid of Sauron, while Felch showed rare tolerance to Sauron, who was always polite and well-behaved.
Hogwarts' teaching arrangements are undoubtedly very reasonable. In response to the situation of first-year students, various courses are offered. A organized teaching of freshmen can give them a full and rational understanding of the world of magic. However, for Sauron, it seems very boring and boring. Of course, Sauron still attends classes on time and performs well in the class. Professor McGonagall, who teaches the transformation class, Professor Quirrell of the Black Magic Defense class, Professor Sprout of the Herbs class, and Professor Fleevy of the Spell class all appreciate Sauron. There are two exceptions, Professor Binnes who teaches the history of magic and Professor Slytherin College, Dean of Slytherin College.
Soren received more than thirty points from several professors in the first week of the course, and Soren did not get a single point in the place where Professor Snape, who has always favored his college. In fact, in their first Potion class, Slytherin and Gryffindor students realized that Professor Snape and Soren were not in good relationship.
Potion class was held in an underground classroom, which seemed very cold. A glass jar was placed along the wall, and the animal specimens soaked inside made the freshmen tremble. Sauron looked at the classroom as if he had returned to the underground laboratory of his old Oak Road house.
Snape picked up the roster as soon as he began class, he augmented his voice when he clicked Sauron's name, and when he clicked Harry, he stopped.
"Oh, yes," he whispered, "Harry Potter, this is our newcomer-a famous figure."
Draco and his two little bodyguards let out a hissing laugh, but after Sauron glanced at them, their faces turned pale - Draco held back his laughter and seemed a little painful.
After Snape finished placing the name, he looked up at the class. His eyes were as black as Hagrid, but not as warm as Hagrid. His eyes were cold and empty, which made you think of two dark tunnels.
"You are here to learn the precise science and strict craftsmanship of this potion configuration." He spoke, his voice almost a little higher than his whisper, but everyone heard every word he said. Like Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape also had the deterrent force that could make the classroom orderly without any effort. "Since there is no foolish waving here, many of you will not believe it is magic. I don't expect you to truly understand the beauty of the simmering pot with white smoke and wafting fragrance. You will not understand the magical power that flows into people's blood vessels, which makes people feel scattered and confused... I can teach you how to increase reputation, make honor, and even prevent death - but there must be one thing, that is, you are not the kind of fool I often meet." (I really like this passage, so I copied it.)
After he finished this opening remark, the whole class was silent. Sauron noticed that Harry was staring at him. Hermione Granger almost moved to the edge of the chair and leaned forward, seemingly in a hurry to prove that he was not a fool. Sauron laughed at Harry, then turned his head to stare at the cauldron on the table.
"Harry Potter!" Snape suddenly said, "What would I get if I added the daffodil root powder to mugwort soak?"
Harry stood up, his face full of confusion. He glanced at Ron beside him, and Ron looked confused. Hermione's arm was raised high into the air; Sauron sighed helplessly.
"I don't know, sir," said Harry.
Snape curled his lips contemptuously.
"Tsk tsk—it seems that fame doesn't represent everything."
Seeing Harry's embarrassed look, Snape deliberately ignored Hermione's raised arms. Sauron raised his eyebrows and looked at Snape coldly.
"Let's try again. Potter, if I want you to find me a piece of oxen, where will you go back to find it?"
Harry was so embarrassed that he knew nothing about Snape's problem. At this time, a voice came from somewhere - "can be found in the cattle's stomach."
Harry was a little surprised. It was hard for him to imagine that anyone would tell him the answer in front of Snape, but Snape still stared at him without any expression other than mockery, such as anger.
"It can be found in the stomach of a cow, sir." Harry said.
"Well," Snape showed a slightly surprised expression, and then he continued to ask; "Then tell me what is the difference between a boat-shaped aconite and a wolf-poison aconite?"
It was still the mysterious voice - "They are all aconite."
Harry didn't hesitate at all, "They are all aconites, sir."
Snape's face looked very ugly. He glanced at Harry fiercely, then seemed to realize something, turned around and stared at Sauron, "What did you do, Mr. Sauron?" His tone was full of anger. This surprised the Slytherins. You must know that even if Snape hated a student, he would not speak in this tone.
Sauron turned his head but did not stand up. He stared at Snape coldly, "I don't think you have any evidence, right? Professor Snape."
The two of them were stalemate, neither giving in at all. The students looked at them, and the classroom was silent. As if after a long time, Snape snorted coldly, turned to Potter and said, "It seems that you have not prepared the textbook in detail, Gryffindor deducted a point." His tone was cold, and then he shouted to other students: "Why don't you write down all these?"
The Potions class continued, and Snape divided the two of them into a group, but left Soren alone. Snape guided them to mix and prepare a simple potion for the treatment of scabies, and then said to Soren: "Come out with me, Soren."
Sauron didn't say anything and went directly to the corridor outside the classroom with Snape.
Snape pulled out his wand and waved his hand to set a one-way soundproofing spell next to them, then he turned around and stared at Sauron coldly.
"What's wrong with calling me out, Snape, I think I need time to prepare the scabies potion."
Snape did not answer immediately. After a while, he said in a low voice: "It's hard to believe that you succeeded."
"Don't tell me you called me out to say this." Sauron's expressionless face, "If there is nothing else, I'll go back, professor."
"I don't know what you want to do, but remember it for me, stay away from Harry," Snape said, with hatred in his eyes.
"I don't think it has anything to do with you. Snape, Harry is my brother, I am his relative." Sauron's tone became cold and angry, "and you can't stop me."
"You will bring him into the darkness, I will never allow it. Don't think I don't know what you just did. What's the difference between doing this and Voldemort!" Snape stopped, he had just said the name.
"Oh, my goodness..." A noise came from the classroom and the panic shouts of students interrupted the conversation between Soren and Snape. Snape hurried into the classroom, and Soren followed him.
Somehow, Neville burned Semo's cauldron into a crooked piece of stuff, and the potted potion was poured onto the stone floor, burning the students' shoes out of holes. Within a few seconds, the whole class stood on the stool. After being knocked over, Neville was soaked in the potion, and redness, swollen scabies were everywhere on his arms and legs, which made him scream.
"Idiot!" Snape roared, waving his wand to sweep away the potion on the ground.
"Send him to the ward of the hospital above." Snape snapped to Semo. Then he turned around Harry and Ron, who were operating next to Neville.
"Harry Potter, why don't you tell him not to add a porcupine sting? Do you think he's wrong and show you? Gryffindor lost another point because you."
Harry, who was treated unfairly, was about to defend himself, but Sauron said: "I don't think it has anything to do with Harry, isn't it."
"Hmph!" Snape glared at Soren fiercely, and then said to the other students: "What are you still standing stupidly? Keep preparing the medicine."
An hour later, they climbed out of the underground classroom along the stairs. Harry seemed depressed, and Sauron walked in front of him without saying a word. Harry looked at Sauron, opened his mouth, but said nothing.
"What do you want to say?" Sauron said, but did not look at Harry.
"Well, when Snape asked me the question just now, did you tell me the answer?" Harry asked carefully, feeling that Sauron was not in a good mood now.
"Yes." Soren still didn't look back, his voice was cold, which made Harry not continue to speak, although he was curious about how Soren could tell him the answer; Ron looked at the twins with some concern.
After a moment of silence, Harry said carefully: "Soren..."
Soren stopped suddenly, Harry almost hit him, and Soren turned around and looked at Harry, "If you want to ask me why I was going to Slytherin, then you will be disappointed." The cold eyes made Harry feel that the person in front of him was strange.
Ron opened his mouth, and Sauron glanced at him, and Ron swallowed without saying anything.
"Well, Sauron, well-I want to say, do you want to see Hagrid together?" Harry said weakly, with a faint hope in his eyes.
Sauron's face eased slightly. He wanted to refuse, but he nodded in the end.
They left the castle, walked through the fields, and walked towards the cabin of Hagrid at the forbidden forest.
...
It was almost time for dinner to come out of Hagrid's cabin. Sauron's attitude was no longer as cold as in the afternoon, which made Harry feel very happy, although he felt that after having a tea with Hagrid, there were much more questions that needed to be thought about than during class these days.
"Soren, have you seen Hagrid before? Before you came to Hogwarts?" Harry asked, and Harry remembered that when Hagrid met Sauron, his expression was not very natural.
"Well," Sauron said, "if you don't want to eat, throw away those rock crusts."
Harry looked at Ron, and the two of them took the cakes out of their pockets and threw them away.
"Harry, what would you say in the small bag that Hagrid took out from the Gringott?" Ron said.
"I don't know, I mean, Hagrid seemed mysterious at the time," said Harry. "I guess he doesn't want us to know."
"I don't want you to know either," said Sauron. "This is not something you should care about, don't indulge your curiosity."
"Oh-" Harry and Ron said honestly, but their expressions betrayed them.
Sauron frowned and said nothing.
After dinner, Soren returned to Slytherin's common room. He sat quietly on the sofa closest to the fireplace, staring at the flames in the fireplace. The other Slytherin in the lounge consciously kept a distance from Soren, and no one disturbed him. Although Ibicos and the other four people did not disclose what happened on the night of the first day of school, they obviously reminded or warned the Slytheriners to a certain extent.
Soren is a little upset now. Snape's behavior in Potion class today made him angry, but when he calmed down, Snape's words when he quarreled with him kept wandering in his ears. Soren suddenly realized that he had been thinking a little simpler when it came to Harry. His previous life and his life over the past eleven years made Soren become ruthless and cold, to others and to himself. As he became stronger and stronger, his personality became more and more dark-in fact, Soren knew clearly that he was definitely not a kind person, as many people said, he was a very powerful black wizard-and
The Dark Lord back then was like the Dark Lord. But unlike himself, his younger brother Harry was a real child. Although fate made him unique, he was still like most children at this age - naive, ignorant and full of curiosity about unknown things. In Potion class, when Sauron told Harry his answer in his way, he did not feel any problem, because he had long been accustomed to thinking and acting in the way of a dark wizard. Until he quarreled with Snape, he realized what he did mean to most ordinary wizards - perhaps Snape was right. If this continued, he would probably have a bad impact on Harry.
Sauron was still sitting on the sofa thinking. After a while, Sauron heard Malfoy's voice - he was talking to his two bodyguards, and then let out a burst of sneer. Sauron turned his head and looked at Malfoy, he pondered for a moment, and then he stood up - at this time, Malfoy also noticed Sauron, his face turned a little pale, but still remained calm.
"Hello, Mr. Soren." Malfoy sent Crab and Gore away, walked to Soren, and bowed slightly, "Is there anything you have?"
Sauron looked at Malfoy with a smile on his face. When he stood up, Sauron said in a voice that only the two of them could hear clearly:
"You're so kind, Draco, I do need some help in something--about my brother, Harry."
