Chapter 17 The Seed of Doubt

Section 1

Snape used only a disarming spell, and Lohart was not hurt except being knocked out. He staggered and stood up, his hat fell off, and his wavy curly hair stood up one by one.

"Okay, everyone see it!" He fell back onto the stage and said, "This is a disarming spell--as you see, I lost my wand--a, thank you, Miss Brown. Yes, Professor Snape, this idea is really great, but I don't mind if I say that, your intention to do this is obvious. If I want to stop you, there is no need to blow it up. I think, in order to increase their knowledge, let them see..."

Snape looked murderous. Lohart probably noticed it, and he heard him say, "The demonstration ends here! Now I'll come among you and divide you into two groups. Professor Snape, if you are willing to help me..."

They walked through the crowd and paired them up. Lockhart asked Neville to form a pair with Justin Finlieri, but Snape walked up to Harry and Ron. "The Dream Team should be broken, I think," he said with a sneer, "Harry Potter--"

Soren frowned. He guessed that Snape was in trouble, so he stood in front of the Slytherin students. Snape turned around and saw Soren standing there, looking at him provocatively. Snape originally wanted to make Drake and Harry in a group, but when he saw Soren, he realized that there might not be any Slytherin student dared to chant a spell on Harry today. Snape glared at Soren, curled his lips dissatisfiedly, and said, "You are in the same group with your brother, Draco, you are in the same group with Weasley. As for you, Miss Granger-you can pair with Miss Millison."

Draco walked over with a wicked smile. In fact, in the Gryffindor trio, the one he hated the most was Ron Weasley. Similarly, Ron was also the one who hated Draco the most in the trio. In fact, the hatred between the two is also a microcosm of the hatred between the two families. Pansy followed Draco, her fat, tall and strong, with her fat chin stretched forward, looking aggressive. However, when Soren heard from Isabella that they got along well.

Harry was obviously relieved when he was assigned to the group with Sauron. He knew that his brother would not hurt him. In fact, he knew that the huge gap between him and his brother was present, and Harry didn't want to compete with Sauron at all. Now he was worried about Ron and Hermione. He walked to Sauron and asked in a low voice: "Is there anything wrong with Ron and Hermione, right?"

Sauron smiled and shook his head, signaling Harry not to worry

"Faced with your partner!" Lockhart returned to the stage and shouted, "Bow!"

Harry and Sauron separated, but neither raised their wands. Both of them turned to look at Drake and Ron. Harry seemed very nervous, while Sauron was looking forward to Drake's performance with great interest.

Ron and Draco both stared at each other hard, almost not even lit their heads.

"Rise up your wand and be ready!" Lohart said loudly, "When I count to three, I will use magic to disarm the opponent's weapon-just disarm-we do not want an accident. One-two-three-"

Ron and Drake raised their wand over their shoulders at the same time and shouted, "Give up your weapon!" Draco's wand shot a red light. Crohn's wand seemed to have something wrong with it, but a spark was blown out, and then it was knocked away by Drake's spell.

This scene made Sauron, Harry and Draco, who wanted to add an iron armor curse to himself, stunned. Harry was worried about going over to see Ron's situation, but was stopped by Sauron, "He's fine, it's just a disarming curse."

Soon, Ron sat up and shook his head dizzyly.

"You're so bad, Weasley," Draco said sneered, "even worse than I thought."

Ron's face turned red, almost the same color as his hair. He grabbed the wand that was falling beside him angrily, trying to cast another spell on Draco, but Kodrak was faster. He shouted, "Tarang Terra!" Immediately, Ron, who had just stood up, twitched his legs strangely, as if he was dancing.

"Stop! Stop!" Loha screamed, Sauron curled his lips, waved his wand, and shouted, "Stop the curse!" Ron's feet stopped dancing, and Drake stood aside.

A stream of green smoke filled the entire venue. Neville and Justin were both lying on the floor, panting, while Hermione and Millison were still in action; Millison clamped Hermione's head, and Hermione called softly in pain. The wands of their two were forgotten on the floor. Isabella was pulling the two, trying to separate them, and Harry hurriedly jumped forward and pulled Millison away. It was not easy, Millison was much bigger than he and Isabella.

"Oh my god, my god," Lockhart said, jumping around the crowd, watching the consequences of the duel.

"I think I'd better teach you how to stop unfriendly magic." Lockhart said in a panic in the middle of the auditorium. He glanced at Snape, and saw a cold light flashing in Snape's dark eyes, and immediately turned his eyes away. "Please volunteer a couple - Longbottom and Fenlieri, how are you?"

"This is not a good idea, Professor Lockhart," said Snape, slid across the stage like a vicious big bat. "Longbatton can cause damage even with the simplest spell. We will put the wreckage of Fenlieri in a matchbox and send it to the hospital ward." Neville's pink round face turned even more violent. "How about Malfoy and Weasley?" Snape said with a grin. "That's great!" said Lockhart, signaling Ron and Draco to walk to the center of the auditorium, and people retreated to make room for them, and Harry lent his wand to Ron.

Snape approached Malfoy, lowered his head and whispered to him for several years. Malfoy also sneered. Seeing this, Lockhart also approached Ron, muttering something, and flipped his wand, but fell it to the ground. Lockhart smiled awkwardly and patted Ron on the shoulder, "Just do what I just said." Ron's face showed confusion and nervousness.

"Three...two...one...one...begin!" he shouted.

Malfoy quickly raised his wand and roared: "Oolong came out of the hole!" The head of his wand exploded. Ron stared in horror, and saw a long black snake suddenly jumping out of it, landing heavily on the floor between the two, then raised its head and ready to attack. The crowd screamed, quickly retreating backwards, giving way out of the open space.

"Don't move, Weasley." Snape said lazily, apparently, he felt very helpful when he saw Ron standing there motionlessly, frightened by the snake. "I'll get him away..."

"Let me do it!" shouted Lohart. He raised his wand and waved at the snake threateningly. Suddenly, with a loud bang, the snake not only did not disappear, but instead jumped more than one foot high and fell heavily to the floor. It was furious and hissed and swam straight towards Justin Fenlieri. Then, it raised its head, exposed its poisonous fangs, and made an attacking posture.

Sauron looked at the big snake with interest. With Snape there, he was not worried that the snake would hurt anyone. At this time, Harry, who was standing beside him, walked up in a daze, staring at the snake with his eyes tightly. Sauron was about to call him, but he heard Harry let out a series of low and depressing hissings. Sauron was surprised to find that the snake calmed down and leaned softly on the ground, staring at Harry. Harry looked up at Justin and grinned, but Justin looked at Harry in anger and horror.

"What trick do you think you're playing?" he shouted, and before Harry could speak, Justin turned and rushed out of the auditorium.

Snape walked forward and waved his wand. The snake turned into a wisp of black smoke and disappeared. Snape also looked at Harry with a cunning and sophisticated look, and then turned to look at Soren. The crowd around him were whispering ominously and pointed at Harry. Soren frowned. Just as he was about to step forward, Ron and Hermione had already pulled Harry out of the auditorium. Soren thought about it, but turned toward Dumbledore's office.

Ron led Harry out of the auditorium, and Hermione walked hurriedly beside them. When they went out, people retreated to both sides, as if they were afraid of getting involved. Ron and Hermione said nothing, but just pulled him all the way to the empty Gryffindor common room. Then Ron pushed Harry into an armchair and said, "You are a snake. Why don't you tell us?"

"What am I?" Harry asked.

"Snake man!" said Ron, "You can talk to the snake!"

"I got it," said Harry, "I mean, this is the second time I have done this. Once in the zoo, I accidentally released a python, and the python rushed towards my cousin Dudley - this was a long story. At that time, the python told me that it had never been to Brazil, and I released it without knowing it. I didn't mean it. At that time, I didn't know that I was a wizard..."

"A big python tells you that it has never been to Brazil?" Ron asked in a weak voice.

"What's wrong?" said Heli. "I bet that many people here can do it."

"Oh, they can't do it," Ron said. "It's not a common skill. Harry, it's awful."

"What's bad?" Harry asked, starting to feel angry. "What's wrong with everyone? Listen, if I didn't tell the snake not to attack Justin-"

"Oh, that's what you said to him?"

"What do you mean? You were there at the time and you heard me talking."

"I heard you speak in a snake-like voice," Ron said, "it's the language of a snake. You can say anything. No wonder Justin was frightened. Hearing the sound of your words, it was like you were urging the snake. It was creepy, you know." Harry looked at him in a daze.

"I speak another language? But - I didn't realize - how could I speak another language without knowing it?" Ron shook his head, both of him and Hermione seemed to be in a heavy mood, as if someone was dead, which confused Harry.

"Would you like to tell me what's wrong with stopping an ugly snake from biting Jia Xinting's head?" Harry said, "As long as Justin did not join the ranks of the headless ghost, what's up with what I did?"

"It's important," Hermione finally spoke in a low voice, "because being able to talk to snakes is Salazar Slytherin's famous skill. Therefore, the symbol of Slytherin Academy is a snake." Harry opened his mouth wide.

"That's right," Ron said, "Now, everyone in the school will think you are his great-great-great-great-grandson or something..."

"But I'm not," said Harry.

"You'll find it hard to prove," Hermione said, "he lived about a thousand years ago; from all the things we know, you're probably his successor."

"But I belong to Gryffindor," said Harry. "If I had Slytherin's descent, that sorting hat wouldn't have put me here..." Harry was silent, remembering that the sorting hat was originally going to be assigned to Slytherin.

"But Soren is in Slytherin, he is your twin brother..." Ron seemed to suddenly remember something. He looked at Harry and lowered his voice, "If Harry is a snake-like, what about Soren?"

Harry's eyes widened, his face looked ugly, and Hermione also showed a complicated expression.
