Chapter 3 Unlocking the Key to the Secret

Watson woke up from his dream again with sweat. He carefully put on his clothes and got up. Watson's father was very tired and snored rhythmically. When Watson got up, he did not wake him up.

The lights were on in the main hall of the ancestral house. Watson walked to the main hall by the lights, looked up at the portrait of his grandfather. Grandpa smiled kindly, but Watson seemed to see what he had to say to him. Watson knew what he wanted to say. Go back to the house and find the wooden box from the cabinet.

"Xiaosheng, Xiaosheng. Have you opened the box?"

Grandpa's words seemed to ring in Watson's ears.

Although it was late at night, Watson was not afraid at all.

My eyes were fixed on the wooden box in my hand. The wooden box was still exactly the same as I saw when I was a child, without any wear. It can be seen that the wooden box was well kept. The wood of the wooden box itself is also quite good.

Watson's hand trembled slightly, and he carefully opened the wooden box, and the two books were still inside. Watson took out the two books from the wooden box and suddenly felt something was wrong with the wooden box.

Both books are relatively thin, and there should be a lot of space left in the box, but the space in the box does not seem to be large.

Watson knocked the box and found that the wooden box was a bit strange. The bottom was empty.

When Watson turned the box upside down, the box rang. Watson looked back at the box and found that the wooden block at the bottom was actually loose.

Watson took out the wooden block at the bottom and placed the box under the light to illuminate it. It actually wrapped a piece of stuff in red silk cloth.

Watson never thought there was another mystery in this box. He looked carefully when he was a child and did not find that the wooden board below could be opened. Perhaps this piece of wood was originally fixed, but recently Watson's grandfather opened it so that he could discover the mystery in it. No wonder he was worried that after leaving, he would warn nature in this way.

Watson's eyes heated up. Even though he had neglected him so much over the years, he still cared about himself so much. In order to allow himself to inherit his legacy, he was obsessed with it!

Watson opened the red silk cloth without hesitation and found that there was a jade pendant wrapped inside. The jade pendant was very simple, and a strange bird carved on the edge of the jade pendant was lifelike. However, the main body of the jade pendant was many strange patterns.

When Watson stroked the jade pendant with his hand, something even more magical happened. The strange bird seemed to move, and the bird's beak suddenly pecked on Watson's hand, immediately pecking Watson's fingers, and blood immediately emerged. Watson's hand hurt and immediately released the jade pendant in his hand, which fell on the silk cloth in the box.

The blood on Watson's fingertips fell down, just on the jade pendant. The strange bird seemed to stretch its neck and opened its mouth to catch the blood dripping from Watson's fingers.

Everything was so incredible that Watson seemed to forget the pain all of a sudden. He stared at the jade pendant blankly, without caring about his fingers that were still bleeding. The blood fell down drop by drop and was sucked into his mouth by the strange bird. At this time, the originally green jade pendant seemed to be slowly dyed red, especially the patterns on the jade pendant seemed to be lit up all of a sudden.

A light of spirit suddenly shot out from the jade pendant and rushed straight to Watson. Watson couldn't dodge and was shot straight by the light of spirit. After the light of spirit hit Watson's forehead, he crawled into Watson's head and disappeared in an instant. The jade pendant returned to its original appearance, as if nothing had happened.

If Watson hadn't felt that the jade pendant was connected to his flesh and blood at this time, Watson might have thought that everything before was his own hallucination. However, at this time, Watson felt that the jade pendant was like a part of his body.

A thin rope with a visible material was tied to the jade pendant. Watson pulled it hard, but it didn't hurt a single bit. He felt that the string should be very solid, so he hung the jade pendant directly on his neck.

I don’t know if it was an illusion or something, but after hanging the jade pendant, Watson seemed to feel much more comfortable.

Watson looked at the wooden box carefully and found that there was nothing else inside. He put the board back in place and then prepared to put the two books back in the wooden box. But when he saw one of them, Watson had a strong impulse to look at it.

As soon as I opened the book, it was the book about witchcraft I had read back then. But strangely, the heavenly book that I could not read before was so simple at this time, it seemed that I could read the contents of it just by just taking a look.

Watson was a little confused. The words in this book were still the same words. The things in it were not understood at all before, but now it seems that everything is in the depths of his memory. Just one look at it and you will completely understand the meaning between the lines.

This witchcraft is somewhat different from what Watson imagined. In Watson's imagination, witchcraft is naturally a feudal superstition and a deceptive thing. But now Watson's understanding of this witchcraft is completely different. It also has its basic theories and its principles of action. Watson was unable to understand these theoretical principles in the past, but now he thinks it is very reasonable.

Watson grabbed his head, but he didn't understand where his views came from.

I suddenly remembered that after being stabbed by the strange bird on the jade pendant, a light of inspiration was shot out from the jade pendant and rushed straight into my mind. Is it because of this reason that my changes in witchcraft and understanding of this witch book?

Could it be that this jade pendant is just to look at the key to opening this witch book? Only by getting this key can you truly understand this book?

Watson was still a little confused. Grandpa should have known the secret of this box before he died, but has he used this key before? Or has he understood this witchcraft book? All this cannot be explained.

But judging from Watson's childhood memories, his grandfather probably hadn't discovered this secret at that time.

Watson continued to read the witchcraft book, and he saw the rooster crowing around the village at dawn, and Watson was unaware of it.

Peanut's father saw Watson looking through the medical books handed down by Watson's grandfather, and walked out without interrupting Watson.
