063 The Final Blow (Part 1)

"I know.?

I thought that the Ming army would stop firing after the fire broke out of the outer wall, but I didn't expect that the Ming army's firepower would become even stronger. They crossed the outer wall one by one and hit the inner wall. It was accurate and fierce. The inner wall was made of earth and was relatively softer than the bricks and stones. They were smashed by shells and shaking hard every time they hit, leaving countless dust.

The Qing soldiers surrounded the gap, carrying Ma Bao with a depressed look on their faces. They had no artillery counterattack, and the bows, arrows, muskets could not hit the Ming army's artillery positions and could not destroy them. They could only watch the Ming army's artillery constantly blowing up the walls.

"We can't let them go down again! We can't be beaten passively!" A Qing soldier Qian roared angrily, ran to Du Yonghe, and asked loudly: "Please give the general a hundred cavalry to the bidders. The bidders are willing to personally lead the cavalry out of the city to destroy Ming Gouzi's artillery!"

Du Yonghe crossed his sword and looked out of the city. Seeing that the Ming army had a tight formation, perfect defense facilities, resisted horses, and had all the antlers. The artillery position was surrounded by infantrymen. The defense was very thoughtful. He shook his head gently and said, "No, no, Ming Gouzi is too cautious."

"No matter how strict you are, you must try it! If Ming Gouzi's artillery is bombarded unscrupulously, the inner city will be out of stock! It's a death to the sky, so why not let the bid down and rush!"

"This—" Du Yonghe hesitated a little.

"Please be sure, General!" Mr. Qian blushed and asked loudly.

"I can only be beaten but not fight back. I really can't stand the bird's anger anymore. I want to go too. Please let the general know!" Another bearded man also knelt down and asked.

Two officers took the lead, and many Qing soldiers knelt down and asked for their orders, and they were filled with anger.

Morale is not to be extinguished. When Du Yonghe saw that the soldiers and generals were determined to die, he felt quite pleased. He nodded and said solemnly: "Since that's the case, I will fulfill your wishes. The 6th General Secretary will determine the ranks!"

"The mark is here!" The Qiang General who had just asked for his appointment responded loudly.

"I will send you two hundred cavalry out of the city to raid, and take General Liu Jiaheng as your deputy. Be sure to destroy the Ming army's artillery, otherwise you will come and see you!"

6 Dingkoen's chest and waist are straightened, and clasped his fists to answer the order.

Two hundred Qing cavalry decisive squads soon as they assembled under the Nanmen Wucheng. The javelin and swords and spears were all ready. They rushed out of the Wucheng like wind, aiming directly at the Ming army artillery position outside the city.

Outside the moat of the south gate, the Ming army positions, military flags block the fields, drums sounded, thousands of soldiers lined up around, swords and spears were dazzling, and dozens of cannons stood side by side among the guards of the army, with endless roars, dozens of cavalrymen patrolling the surroundings.

As soon as the two hundred Qing cavalry rushed out of the city, Zhu Youlang discovered them. Knowing that the Qing army was forced to jump over the wall, he sneered repeatedly. While asking the gun whistle commander to continue to direct the gunner to fire the gap, he ordered a team of thousands of people to go to the entrance of the moat to block the Qing cavalry that was raiding from the city.

The Thousand-People Team was stationed at the entrance of the moat passage, with musketeers and archers in front. More than one hundred musketeers stood in three equally, with spearmen in the middle, and swords and shield soldiers guarding both sides, and a basic field army formation was arranged.

There are not many bird guns in the army, and each thousand-person team has only been assigned more than 100 shots. However, bird guns have an advantage, which is easy to get started. A recruit who does not have a firearm can become a qualified musketeer as long as he practices for a month and shoots dozens of shots. He can fight against the enemy even if he is pulled on the battlefield. Unlike archers, he has no accurate training without more than a year of training.

As the Qing cavalry suicide squad gradually approached, the battalion officer hurriedly waved his flag and ordered: "The first row of bird gun soldiers, archers prepare, ignite, and open the bow - let it go!"

Originally, the shooting of a bird gun had to go through nearly ten steps such as charge, fire suppression, loading, fuse, and ignition. It would be nice to be able to hit one thirty breaths after completing the entire loading process. However, the ten soldiers of the Ming army had obviously considered this and had done all the steps before ignition in advance. In this way, if only the last ignition process is left, the degree would be faster.

After a short breath, bang! bang! bang! bang!…

More than thirty bird guns and more than thirty large bows fired at the same time. After a smog of smoke rose, several Qing soldiers and war horses were placed on the Qing army fifty steps away and led bullets shot from the bows and arrows were placed. The horse's hooves were pedaled into a ball of meat.

Because of its poor performance and low hit rate, the original convex guns, only many of them can shoot together to kill people who are dozens of steps away. Even so, the hit rate is still very low, especially for high-moving cavalry. More than 30 bird guns and dozens of large bows can be shot together, so it can be placed at once for several cavalrymen. This kind of record is very good.

After shooting, the archers remained motionless. The first row of musketeers flew from the left and right wings into the rear formation, and the second row of musketeers prepared the fuse.

Seeing that the second row of Ming army's bird gunners began to ignite, the Qing army's Qianzong 6 Dingke gritted his teeth and shouted: "Brothers, we have no way out. Let's see who has a great life. If you die, you will die for thousands of years. If you lose your head, you will have a big scar. Run with me!"

Two hundred Qingqi cavalry, holding a sense of death, kept swearing, waved swords and guns in their hands, and rushed towards the Ming army formation with a scream.

6 Dingke held a long sword and took the lead. In the blink of an eye, he rushed forward more than ten steps. He was closer, and he was closer. Hundreds of javelins flew out from behind 6 Dingke and fell into the Ming army's formation. Dozens of Ming army's spearmen could not dodge and were instantly nailed to the ground by the javelin. The spear was crooked all over the ground, and the tight spear formation suddenly revealed flaws.

The Qing army knight waved his sword and was about to take advantage of the momentum to penetrate the formation and destroy the phalanx. At the critical moment, gunfire sounded again. This time, two rows temporarily adjusted to one row, gathering more than 60 musketeers, and more than 30 archers fired volleys against the battle horses, shooting at close range, with a much higher accuracy. One or twenty war horses were shot and jumped wildly, throwing many Qing soldiers off their horses and crushing them to death. The Qing army's arrow cavalry formation also fell into a brief chaos.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, the musketeers and archers retreated in time. The sword and shield soldiers on both sides quickly divided the troops and gathered in front of the military formation. They stood in a row, raised rattan signs to protect the spearmen behind, and bought time for them to organize the array.
