Chapter 155 Intention

This is also what Guo Taiming was unique from the beginning.

The most important thing is that Hon Hai is stable. Other small manufacturers with their own products only do OEM business when their products cannot be sold. Sign a short-term contract and then make their own products after they are finished. In this way, the production capacity will not be stable and the production capacity will be unstable. The head office will not be able to make reasonable sales or other plans based on the production capacity.

Just like the OEM companies that Jester looked for in Japan, at the highest point, all OEM companies could produce 300,000 to 400,000 units per month, but in fact, this is just theoretically, and it is a very good number to maintain it at more than 100,000 and 200,000 units now.

"Is it stable?" In Jester's eyes, stability of output is more important than production capacity.

When Guo Taiming heard this question, he pondered for a moment. The numbers he mentioned before were indeed full of moisture. What he said about 200,000 units per month, and 300,000 to 500,000 units in two months is not a brag. His factory does have such capabilities at present, but this is in the absence of other OEM contracts.

Moreover, in Guo Taiming's eyes, Mars Entertainment, or Jester's status ranking in his eyes is not as high as personal computer manufacturers such as Comber and HP. Although he is optimistic that the electronic game industry may revival, this is just a toy after all. Even if it is revived, it is still a slight witch with the future of the computer market.

In other words, it is impossible for him to extend the production cycle of the personal computer company that he finally discussed in order to increase production of Jester's products.

Seeing Guo Taiming's expression, Jester understood what he meant. Indeed, he also knew that in a short period of time, the potential of the computer market was indeed not comparable to that of electronic games, but in the end, personal computers were actually price competition, because the prices of all accessories were open and transparent. If you want Dell, a business that could earn a thousand US dollars by simply adding a hard drive like that would not happen again.

But the problem is that the low profit of PC has nothing to do with OEM companies, and they do not sell PCs. For them, they only need to produce. Therefore, the larger the market, the more popular the industry is.

Although the game consoles have a large profit, the market is small, and there are only one or two large manufacturers that are scattered. For example, Nintendo's FC/nes has only sold more than 60 million units. It looks a lot. In fact, even if it is evenly distributed to several million a year, it is only a few million a year, and the best-selling level is 10 million at its peak.

To be honest, this number is impossible to make a pure OEM company bigger, but the PC market is different. If you change the sales of Nes/FC to PC-60 million PCs, it may not be enough for the PC market in the next few years.

For an OEM company, the difference between them is too big. Although Mars Entertainment's annual profits are now considered to be among new technology companies in the entire Silicon Valley, this is meaningless for people like Guo Taiming who are devoted to OEM.

This is also the reason why Jester did not intend to operate his production base in mainland China for a long time. It is because he only produces it for himself, even if it is arcades, home machines, handheld machines, and all production bases are placed in mainland China, it would not be possible to grow. So, at the beginning, Jester had the idea of waiting a few years when Guo Taiming came to the mainland to invest and build a factory, and wanted to use his manufacturing center in Shangshanghai to join the company.

"Mr. Li, to be honest, I can't guarantee that it will last at 200,000 units every month. However, we have not had many other OEM tasks recently, and this output can be achieved in the last three to four months." Guo Taiming let go of his eyebrows, and he didn't tell any lies, which can be considered a frank meeting.

Jester had already decided to sign Hon Hai's order in his heart, but he didn't want to reveal his decision so quickly.

But the main reason why he met Guo Taiming this time was not just OEM, but about mainland investment. Originally, Jester planned to wait for Guo Taiming to go to the mainland to inspect and then contact him to discuss this matter. But now that he has met, and he still doesn’t know if he has time in the future, so he can just talk together.

Therefore, Jester first avoided the question of OEM and did not answer it, and deliberately shifted the topic back to the direction of investing in and building factories in mainland China: "Mr. Guo, do you have any intention of a joint venture in mainland China?"

When Guo Taiming heard Jester's question, he just frowned.

"Mr. Li is also interested in OEM?" Only a moment later, Guo Taiming's frowning eyebrows quickly relaxed. He said while smiling, "I don't oppose joint ventures, but the premise is that I want to take control, investors cannot interfere with my business operations - of course, there must be financial supervision rights. Why, is Mr. Li still interested?"

This is true. Guo Taiming does not have much working capital in his hands. If he wants to expand the scale, he needs a lot of funds. Small investment is just a drop in the bucket for him and he is not interested. With large investments, he does not want to affect his voice after other people's capital comes in. The problem is that not many investors ignore it after investing a large amount of money.

So, Guo Taiming simply stated his conditions directly to let Jester retreat, but he didn't say anything. If Jester could agree to his request, the joint venture would not be impossible.

Unexpectedly, Jester nodded beyond Guo Taiming's expectations.

"A very reasonable condition. As a creator of a company, he naturally hopes that he can be responsible for the company and watch him grow. As an investor, the main purpose is to get the profits he wants from the invested companies. They sometimes have a counterproductive effect on these companies, but their intentions are good. After all, no one wants their investment to be wasted - but the question is, Mr. Guo, do you think you can make investors get the profits they want?"

Hearing Jester's words, Guo Taiming's face showed an unexpected look, and his eyebrows raised. His eyes, which were originally a little unconscious because of staying up late, suddenly showed a shrewd look. He did not directly answer Jester's slightly questioning words, but asked back.
