Chapter 377 Huge Tomb
…………I bid farewell to Mr. Liu’s family and was sent to the entrance of the village by enthusiastic villagers. Liu Dong rode his motorcycle and drove out towards the Guan family along the already familiar and winding road.
After riding for more than ten minutes, I crossed the Ambergris River, and after walking for another five or six minutes, the altitude was about 200 meters, but the slope was extremely slow, and the low mountain with an area of 28 square kilometers was still in sight. This low mountain had no name, because there were a large amount of rocks exposed on the mountain and could not be cultivated, so it was just an unknown desert hill. However, if you want to rush out of the Guan family, you must bypass this place and then walk on Fenglong Mountain to bypass the Longya Waterfall with a drop of 30 meters.
Looking at the low hills in front of him and the exposed rocks washed out of the ground by water, Liu Dong couldn't help but have a thought in his mind, would the tomb of King Zhuang be here?
However, despite this doubt, Liu Dong also knew that the possibility was not too high. Because this nameless desert hill was too high. Generally, there are detailed regulations on how high the seals of tombs can be piled in tombs during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Just like the ritual system of bronze ware, the emperor's nine tripods and eight gui, and the princes' seven tripods and six gui.
Moreover, even the imperial tombs were rarely more than 100 meters in the pre-Qin period. The famous imperial tombs was only 120 meters. After more than two thousand years of erosion by wind and rain, it is now less than 100 meters.
Therefore, when Liu Dong was looking for the tomb of King Zhuang in the Guan family, he never doubted this place at all.
However, now Liu Dong is about to leave here, and when he is just here, he naturally has the idea of exploring the truth. Therefore, with the thoughts, the relic light naturally shows that everything inside this spherical space is clearly displayed in Liu Dong's mind with him as the center of the circle and within a radius of a hundred meters.
"Woo...dong...crack...gudong!"
Accompanied by this series of noises. When he looked closely, Liu Dong was already lying on the ground. He had just bought the Xinjialing Motorcycle for more than half a month. At this moment, the front wheel had turned crookedly to the ground. The mirrors on the front of the car, the baskets, the plastic plates protecting the engine on the motorcycle, and the water shields behind the wheels were all scattered from the car.
As for the painting board easel behind Liu Dong's car seat and the mountain goods with half a snakeskin bag, they were even more rotten, and there was no complete piece of it.
"Uh!" Liu Dong grinned and turned over from the ground, patted the soil on his body. Although it hit him seriously just now, he was not injured with his strong physical fitness.
Liu Dong, who stood up, did not help his motorcycle, but immediately released his relic Yuanguang. After realizing everything inside the relic Yuanguang, Liu Dong's face immediately became extremely shocked.
Terracotta Warriors!
A large number of weapons in hand and armor, and a majestic expression appeared in Liu Dong's mind.
Liu Dong is already very familiar with the Terracotta Warriors and Horses. In addition to the famous Qinling Terracotta Warriors and Horses, known as the "Eighth Miracle of the World", there are also seven places including the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Pit of Emperor Jing of the Western Han Dynasty, the tombs of Zhou Bo and Zhou Yafu and his son in Yangjiawan, the Shaanxi-Xiangxi Liubang Changling Burial Terracotta Warriors and Horses Pit of Jiang-Su Xu-zhou Lion Mountain Terracotta Warriors and Horses Pit.
However, except for the Qinling Terracotta Warriors and Horses fitting the human body, the remaining seven terracotta warriors and horses pits are only half the height of the real person, or even smaller.
But even so, these pottery figurines are still unreplicable miracles in the archaeological world.
Now, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses presented in Liu Dong's mind are no different from the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of the Qinling Mountains. They are both soldiers who meet the proportion of the human body, and are about 1.7 meters tall. Of course, there are also tall ones. Moreover, the firing process of these terracotta warriors is no less than that of the Qin terracotta warriors. They also have the characteristics of "thousands of people, thousands of faces, thousands of colors".
At this time, Liu Dong had no time to care about any motorcycles, but surrounded the entire nameless hill and looked carefully with the relic light.
When Liu Dong sat on a white boulder on the top of the Unknown Hill, nearly three hours had passed.
"It's so amazing!" After taking a few deep breaths and calming down his mood, Liu Dong said this with a trembling whole body.
He had never seen the famous Qin Shi-Imperial Mausoleum with his own eyes. Although he learned about its grand scale from books, he could not see it with his own eyes, so he naturally did not have a deep feeling.
But this time it is different. The scale of King Zhuang of Chu's underground tomb is too large. Liu Dong really couldn't believe that under the inconspicuous hill under his feet, there were archaeological excavations that could cause a sensation in the world.
Eight huge Terracotta Warriors and Horses pits are arranged in neat and orderly battle formations, guarding the center's main tomb, attached tomb, chariot and horse pit, burial pit and sacrificial pit.
Among the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, there are nearly 5,000 pottery figures of similar sizes in real horses, and there are also chariot soldiers, cavalry and infantry. There are kneeling positions and standing positions.
However, compared with the bronze weapons held by Qinling Terracotta Warriors and Horses, these Terracotta Warriors and Horses are all made of pottery weapons, and many of them are even made of wooden. It is obvious that in the hands of King Zhuang of Chu, Xiong Lu, the financial resources of Chu State, which were pushed to the hegemony, could not be compared with the First Emperor who unified the world. However, even so, it was already extremely amazing.
In addition to these Terracotta Warriors, there are 21 chariots and horses buried with them. The largest one has a length of more than 300 meters and a width of two hundred meters. The ones buried with them are all real cars and horses. The smallest one has more than 8,000 square meters, and there are more than 300 chariots and horses buried with them.
In addition, there are three burial pits. Although Liu Dong did not count too carefully, he thought it would not be less than five hundred.
"" records that "the emperor killed his son, and the worst was hundreds, and the few were dozens." Obviously, in this tomb of King Zhuang of Chu, the number of people buried with him was no less than that of the emperor, and even surpassed that of the emperor.
Moreover, most of the burial pits contain a small amount of bronze, jade, and lacquered wood. If these burial pits are really excavated, there will probably be no less than 20,000 cultural relics alone.
Among the entire tomb, what surprised Liu Dong the most was the main tomb!
It's really too big!
Moreover, the tomb of King Zhuang of Chu is a rare tomb of the shape of "Ya"!
The sub-shaped tomb, also known as the sub-shaped tomb, is one of the ancient Chinese tomb shapes. The tomb chamber of the sub-shaped tomb is a huge square or sub-shaped vertical pit with a tomb passage on each side. Its shape is grand and its momentum is extraordinary.
The tombs of the higher-level nobles in ancient China had tomb passages around the tomb chambers. According to the number of tomb passages, they can be divided into sub-shaped tombs, middle-shaped tombs and Jia-shaped tombs. These names come from the characters "Ya", "Zhong" and "Jia" according to the shape of the tomb chamber plane.
The number of tomb passages represents the level of class status. The sub-shaped tombs with four tomb passages is the highest level and belongs to the imperial tomb scale; the second is the middle-shaped tomb with two tomb passages and the Ar-shaped tomb with one tomb passage, which are used by princes and nobles.
The total length is 300 meters and the area is 5,334 square meters. The scale is far greater than the tombs of the monarchs of various vassal states known in the pre-Qin period. It is 10 times larger than the tombs of Shang Kings in He-Nan'an-yang, and 20 times larger than the Han Tomb of Mawangdui No. 1 in Changsha, Hu-Nan-sha, which is a tomb of the character "Zhong".
At this moment, the tomb of King Zhuang of Chu under the observation of Yuanguang of Liu Dong's relics is even more magnificent than the tomb of Qin Gong No. 1. The coffin chamber in the center alone has a length of 90 meters, a width of 75 meters, and a height of nearly 20 meters. Its area reaches 6,700 square meters, which is larger than the entire tomb of Qin Gong No. 1 and 30 times the tomb of Zeng Houyi.
In addition to the coffin chamber in the center, there are 8 ear chambers on both sides of the surrounding four tomb passages. The largest two ear chambers are located on the south side, and the area is 800 square meters. The smallest of the 8 ear chambers is also more than 200 square meters.
In addition, this one is located 35 meters underground and is covered with a heavy mixed soil layer of stone, sand and soil with nearly 200 meters in height. It has not been crushed after 2,500 years of vicissitudes of life and rain. It is because this huge tomb of King Zhuang of Chu is not simply a wooden coffin like other pre-Qin ancient tombs, but a stone coffin like the Mausoleum of the First Emperor.
This super luxurious tomb, plus the tomb passage and ear chamber, has a total area of more than 10,000 square meters. The base, wall panel and cover of the entire coffin chamber are paved with more than 7,500 giant rectangular wood, and uses more than 25,000 cubic meters of finished nanmu. All nanmu coffin boards are connected by a "three-piece soil" mixed with lime, clay and glutinous rice.
The four walls of the nanmu coffin board are built with stones with a height and width of more than 50 cm, a length of two meters and a weight of nearly three tons. Moreover, there are three layers of stones built in this way, but the thickness of the two layers of rocks exceeds 150 cm.
In addition to the bottom, there are two layers of the same large stone strips under the bottom plate of the coffin chamber. However, the length of these stone strips reaches 15 meters, but the weight of one stone strip reaches 15 tons, which is almost no worse than the Egyptian Khufu pyramid. I don’t know how these heavy stone strips were placed at the bottom of the tomb chamber under the backward productivity conditions of the pre-Qin period.
And this is not the most exaggerated thing. The three-layer stone strips that really act as cover plates are heavier, especially the outermost layer, with a length and width, which are even more amazing. Almost every piece weighs less than 20 tons. Liu Dong simply lost. There were more than 500 heavy stone strips that were ten meters long and eighty centimeters wide. I really don’t know how much manpower and material resources King Zhuang of Chu spent at that time to figure out these huge stones.
Of course, in addition to these wooden coffins and huge stone strips, there are three layers of bamboo mats on the outside, especially the top of the tomb. There are as many as three meters of green paste mud on the bamboo mat. Similarly, the green paste mud on the ground of the tomb is also three meters, but the green paste mud on the four walls of the tomb is more than six meters, which is really too thick. Perhaps only Qin Shihuang’s tomb is more exaggerated than here.
In addition, in order to prevent moisture more fully, thick charcoal was placed between the bamboo mat, the huge stone strips and the innermost coffin board.
It is precisely because of such a strong tomb chamber that the grand King Zhuang of Chu was able to hold back the heavy seal of nearly two hundred meters above his head. (To be continued)
