Volume Eight, Hundred Years of Resentment, Chapter 74, Destructive Bombing

After the bombing operation to attack Japan's nuclear facilities began, Wang Yuanqing and others came to the center.

In order to allow leaders such as Wang Yuanqing who are not very familiar with war to grasp the combat situation more intuitively, Pei Chengyi adjusted the information display system of the Tactical Command Center. He displayed the entire Japanese map on the center's main screen, clearly marked all nuclear facilities, displayed the specific situation of the combat aircraft participating in the attack operation on the left screen, and displayed the battlefield airspace map on the right screen, using different colors to represent the Air Force's control over each area.

Very intuitive and clear at a glance.

As the icon of the first nuclear facility changed from green to red, a red cross appeared on it, the battle to bomb the Japanese nuclear facility officially began.

Without much effort, Wang Yuanqing understood the information displayed on three screens.

In response to Japanese nuclear installations, the Air Force adopted the "cross attack tactic". Fighters participating in the bombing operation form one formation for every 2, and each 3 formation forms a battle group. Each formation is responsible for attacking three targets in the order of main, secondary and reserve, and the three targets of each combat group are responsible for bombing intersecting each other. If the breakthrough is smoothly, the bomb carried by one fighter can blow up one nuclear facility; after successfully destroying the main target, if the secondary target is not destroyed, another fighter can supplement the bombing of the secondary target.

;If the secondary target has been destroyed and the backup target has not been destroyed, the backup target will be bombed additionally. This is enough to ensure that each target is bombed at least 2 times, and at some point it can bomb 3 times, ensuring the success rate of bombing. From the command point of view, the air command post responsible for bombing support, that is, the kz-19b, only needs to issue combat command commands to the leader aircraft of each combat group, and the leader aircraft will issue orders to the leader aircraft of the other two formations, thereby reducing the pressure of the command system and improving the bombing efficiency.

Each "associated" target destroyed has 1 battle group evacuated from the battlefield.

At the same time, bombing more than 20c targets exceeded the combat capability of the Air Force. In order to ensure the success rate of bombing, 60 j-15c for every 30 targets need to be invested in each 30 targets, 20 j-14c for air control tasks, 8 dj-1 for air defense suppression tasks, 6 kz19b for attack command tasks, 2 kj-22c for air control command tasks, 1 ky-15b for combat coordination tasks (air command coordinate aircraft), 1 jy-15b for support tasks

(Carrier), 6 dy-14c performing electronic jamming missions, 2 zw-26 performing identification missions (Unmanned Reconnaissance aircraft), and a total of various types of combat aircraft and support aircraft. 115. Deducting the combat forces sent to the southeast battlefield, attracting the combat forces of the Japanese Air Force and the defense line combat forces deployed in the southwest and northwest regions, the Air Force can only attack 90 targets in one wave. That is to say, 345 combat aircraft and support aircraft are dispatched to launch an attack in three directions.

To destroy all targets, the Air Force must: at least two and a half attack waves of war aircraft to perform an average of 25 combat missions. Because the attendance rate of fighter jets is only about 90% and possible combat losses, most fighter jets will perform three combat missions.

The General Staff’s orders were very straightforward and the bombing operation must be completed before dawn.

It also means that the air force and local combat forces must be dispatched 3 times within 1 hour!

In the first battle between the peninsula, the first local battle between air supremacy was the most intense. The first local unit of the Republic's Air Force once set a record of four consecutive operations in one hour. It was just that the bombing against Japan was different from the Peninsula War. The combat radius of fighter jets increased from less than 4 kilometers to more than 1,200 kilometers. The time to and from the battlefield alone increased by more than 2 times. Even if the combat time of the attack mission was relatively short, the average time required for each type of aircraft would be extended by at least 50%, which would reduce the combat efficiency of the combat troops.

From this we can calculate that the Air Force must do its best to dispatch three orders within 1 hour.

Theoretical calculations cannot intuitively reflect the fierce battles on the front line, but they can allow the commanders in the rear to grasp the situation on the battlefield more accurately.

Wang Yuanqing first realized that the impact of the battle was stronger than that of others in the Tactical Command Center of the General Staff. Although there were not many icons of ground fighter jets on the left screen from green to red and yellow. It was not surprising that ground fighter jets were shot down or injured. It was Wang Yuanqing's mood was still a little nervous.

It seems that in order to ease the atmosphere, Pei Chengyi did not excessively interfere in the air force's local combat operations. He kept the staff as quiet as possible.

At 19:55, the first round of bombing was completed 5 minutes ahead of schedule, and 90 targets were bombed, of which 37 targets were bombed twice, 13 targets were bombed three times, 7 j-15cs were shot down by Japanese fighters or ground air defense systems during combat, and 11 j-15cs returned to the flight with injuries.

Strictly speaking, the bombing was very successful.

After zw-26 sent back the bombing screening information, the prediction that 90 targets were destroyed was confirmed. Without completely seizing air supremacy and performing high-risk bombing missions, it is not surprising that the combat loss rate exceeded 0%. If the Air Force's strategic aviation was not the first to bomb Japan's war zone and long-range air defense systems, and with the numerous support troops launching attacks at the same time, the combat loss rate would probably exceed 20%. When formulating the combat plan, it was not considered bombing Japan.

Nuclear facilities are so hasty. According to Zhang Zhongxian's words, the Air Force lost 50% of its preparations!

While preparing for the second round of bombing, the Air Force Command submitted a bombing report to the General Staff.

In order not to have any impact on the head of state, Pei Chengyi took a group of staff officers to the conference room next to the tactical command center to handle the Air Force's bombing report.

After the Peninsula War, all the Republicans knew that Wang Yuanqing, like Ji Youguo, was a head of state who attached great importance to the lives of officers and soldiers. During the Peninsula War, it was precisely because of the heavy casualties that Wang Yuanqing repeatedly proposed the proposal of accelerating the war process and reducing casualties in the war as the deputy head of state. In the end, Zhao Rundong, the then head of state, adopted the suggestion, and finally let tens of thousands of republicans return to their hometown safely.

In Wang Yuanqing's eyes, a Republican was more important than 10,000 enemies.

In fact, the Air Force's losses were not great. Including combat operations in other directions, in more than an hour of battle, only 13 pilots were killed or missing pilots were injured. You should know that during the first battle of the Peninsula War, more than 50 pilots were killed and disappeared in one combat operation!

At this time, the ground crew at the Air Force Base were preparing for takeoff for the fighter jets as fast as possible.

Although no one has ever paid attention to these unknown soldiers who contributed to the war with sweat, without excellent ground crews, there would be no strong air force. From a war perspective, the importance of ground crews is no less than that of pilots. Taking the Republic Air Force as an example, although the service volume of J-14c is reduced by nearly 50% compared to J-14, an average of each J-1 requires ground crews. In other words, the service personnel are pilots. In terms of the words of the Air Force, without ground crews, it is impossible for pilots to fly fighters into the sky.

Logistics support capability is the battle of the Air Force

It only took less than 30 minutes to complete all the support work required to take off and perform combat missions again! You should know that it usually takes at least 2 hours, and even during wartime, the maintenance time is about 1 hour.

At 211 o'clock, the first j-15c with ammunition re-mounted took off from the air base in the northeastern region of the Republic.

All j-15c who are in the second round of attack missions in just 15 have been launched.

Because the Japanese Air Force's interception is not tenacious, many j-14c who perform air control missions do not use all ammunition, so they do not need to return to the base, and they only use it to meet with the tanker in the rear|can continue to perform combat missions after recharging fuel.

At 23:2, the j-15c of the first battle group arrives in the attack airspace.

As the bomb escaped from the bomb bay and flew towards the target again, the second round of bombing officially began.

At this time, the battle between the two sides for air supremacy has reached a heightened level.

After realizing that the Republic Air Force began to bomb nuclear installations, the Japanese Air Force mobilized comprehensively, and even many fighter jets that were not suitable for air combat missions, such as the F-2C, were hung over air-to-air ammunition to take off for combat.

The first round of bombing was somewhat sudden, while the second round of bombing was completely unblack.

The battle was very fierce.

Wang Yuanqing noticed that the fighter icons that turned yellow and red on the left screen have increased significantly, and the frequency of changes has increased a lot. This means that the group of aircraft performing attack missions has been stubbornly intercepted by Japanese fighters, and many fighters cannot complete the bombing mission.

Compared with the lengthy preparation time, the bombing process is very short.

At 23 o'clock, as the last target icon turns red, the second round of bombing ends.

Wang Yuanqing stood up and looked at Pei Chengyi.

"The Air Force's report has not been sent yet, and there will be news soon." Xiang Yinghui explained for Pei Chengyi.

Wang Yuanqing nodded, said nothing, and sat down again.

The second round of bombing suffered much heavier losses, with at least 211 fighters losing contact with the base, and about 29 fighters also issued combat damage reports. Including the 7 fighters lost in the first round of bombing and 11 damaged and unrepairable fighters, 68 fighters were unable to continue to carry out combat missions. In other words, there are only 112 fighters capable of performing the third round of bombing. Although the 9c targets in the second round of bombing were destroyed, there are still 72 targets that need to be bombed. According to the previous combat dispatch rate, at least 1 fighter jet is needed.

When Xiang Yinghui dealt with Wang Yuanqing, Pei Chengyi had already contacted the Air Force Command.

Zhang Zhongxian's answer was very affirmative. The 112 fighter jet would definitely be able to complete the third round of bombing mission. To be on the safe side, Pei Chengyi was not careless and asked Zhang Zhongxian to divide 12 targets. He contacted the Navy Aviation Command and asked HNA to dispatch a squadron of j-15d to carry out the bombing mission immediately.

As a reserve force, HNA can immediately enter the battle.

Just in the early morning of the 24th, Jiaoba Mountain rushed over. Gu Weimin had arrived in New Delhi and had an emergency meeting with Indian Prime Minister Rurajapani. If there is important news, please discuss with the head of state immediately.

Wang Yuanqing did not delay and asked Xiang Yinghui to report the situation after the battle, and left the General Staff. (To be continued,)
