Chapter 468: Stolen Technology

"You don't belong here." The blonde agent in a tight combat uniform stood outside Captain America's cage, holding his arms, locking his beautiful eyebrows tightly.

"I don't understand why you stay here," she said.

The man sitting in the cage had a vicissitudes of face, his chin had a short beard, and his appearance was unkempt. Coupled with his tired and powerless look, it would be difficult for anyone to believe that such a man was once Captain America.

"Then don't ask, Sharon." He said in a deep voice, "Listen to me once, it has nothing to do with you."

Sharon Carter, the niece of Captain America's lover Peggy Carter. When Nick Fury was still in power, she was ordered by the director to live next door to Rogers and acted as Captain America's bodyguard - although it may be a bit strange to say that.

"As long as you say something, countless excellent warriors are willing to give up everything and save you." Sharon said, pausing and lowering his voice, "Maybe there are many inside the ASCHEN."

Rogers shook his head: "This is not what you should say. Obeying orders is the duty of a soldier."

"Aunt Peggy taught me to be adaptable," she said. "She also taught me that I should always be on the right side. Sometimes even if the whole world tells you that you are wrong, there are some things that are worth your insistence on."

Rogers pondered for a while and smiled like a self-deprecatingly.

"Yeah, it sounds quite like what she can say."

The communicator on Sharon's wrist rang. She turned around and connected the communication: "This is Sharon Carter."

"Come to the bridge immediately to report." The other side of the communication knew, "The director has something to say."

"receive."

Sharon lowered his communicator and turned to Rogers.

"Go." Rogers lowered his head, "The mission is calling, isn't it?"

“…I’ll come again.”

Sharon took two steps towards the door, suddenly stopped, turned around, and said in an unknown way: "Maybe you haven't realized it yet, but your mission is not over yet, Captain. Or maybe... it's just beginning."

The captain raised his eyebrows in confusion, but she obviously had no intention of continuing to explain. She turned around, unlocked the metal door, and left the room with great strides.

When Sharon arrived at the bridge, there was already a bustling scene. The agents came and went in the hall, and several hanging super large screens were executing search programs, as if they were searching for something over and over again.

The command of the bridge was empty, and their director Tony Stark was standing among a bunch of computers, as busy as the communications agents. Obviously, compared to Nick Fury's accustomed to standing at a high place to control the overall situation, Tony Stark prefers to do it himself.

As a scientist, he is more professional than 99.99% of SHIELD's engineers; and as a warrior, Iron Man can almost stand the entire SHIELD's combat power and is redundant. But on the other hand, as a commander, he is not particularly good at cohesive people's hearts and morale. Nick Fury is much better than him in these parts.

To put it bluntly, Tony Stark is a complete actionist. He prefers to do it himself than to speak with his mouth.

"What's the situation?" Sharon walked up to ask. Sharon, who returned to the Shield after the reorganization of the Shield, gained much higher authority than before. Now she is a level 8 agent, and she believes that she has the right to inquire about most of the affairs of the Shield.

Seeing Sharon coming, Maria Hill raised her head and said, "I lost something."

"What?"

Agent Hill handed over a floating screen. Sharon took it, glanced at it, and couldn't help but frown.

"This is... an arc reactor?" she said in surprise.

"In fact, we lost a lot of things." Tony, who was busy in the middle of a pile of screens, said without looking back. "There are still some new weapons that have not been able to experiment or equip the team with several sets of exoskeletons... It doesn't matter. Anyway, those add up to this important."

Sharon stepped forward: "Because this is the core of Iron Man's technology?"

She had known about the conflict between Tony and the military before the disbandment. The military repeatedly urged and sent people to put pressure from various fields, but she had never been able to force Tony to hand over the Iron Man skills.

"Yes...and not only that," Tony said with a frown, "This is not a previous reactor, but a version I have made many improvements. I have previously obtained technical upgrades through some unexpected channels, and this type of reactor has been eliminated by me."

"But it's still a very dangerous thing," Hill added.

"Of course. Even the style I assembled in a terrorist cave with used lines is fifty years ahead of the world." Tony said proudly.

"And it's missing now." Sharon's tone was a little stiff, and even sounded a little bit like he was blaming, "You screwed it up, again."

Tony paused his movements and glanced at her for a little longer.

"That's OK," he said without caring, and turned back to work, "I understand my own design, and I know all the parameters of the arc reactor - including the various radiation wavelengths it releases. It's only a matter of time to find it."

"In fact, all the devices we can use have been searching for several cycles." Maria Hill reminded lightly, "but we have no progress yet."

"It will be there soon." Tony said confidently, but his voice was clearly a little irritated. "All we need is a correct frequency, a band, or..."

"You have a new one, sir." Jarvis reminded.

"Hmm?" Tony wondered, "Who sent it?"

"The sender is unknown. Tracking program has been automatically enabled, but the request has been intercepted."

Tony frowned. Although there was no evidence, he seemed to have guessed the identity of the sender. After all, there were not many people on this earth who could ignore the ASCHUN firewall - especially in front of this firewall that he had upgraded.

The email is covered in a vast white area, with no words or descriptions, only a string of numbers - a coordinate.

Smart butler Jarvis automatically inputs the coordinates into the map without ordering, and then quickly calculates the position where the coordinate points to.

It was a port. Tony called a satellite simultaneously to the sky above the coordinates and locked a dark cargo ship.

"Prepare, Jarvis." Tony stepped back and started taking off his coat, and handed it to Hill, "Let's go there now."

"But... Director Stark," Hill frowned, "just a string of coordinate messages sent by someone who didn't know, you'll prepare..."

"I know who sent it." Tony's armor was already covering his whole body as he spoke. "Appoint a team for me to prepare to clean up the battle situation, and notify the local department to block the port. It may become very lively there in a while."
