Chapter 375 The first task

Just a few minutes after leaving the floating carrier, Agent Phil Colson couldn't help but sigh. From the beginning when he first heard the decision that "the new director is Tony Stark" he felt that it was not very reliable. Now standing in front of the new director who he is no longer unfamiliar with, this ominous premonition has only been deepened.

Maybe this is really a bad idea. Now Colson is already thinking about whether he can keep up with him and discuss returns or something...

But there is no way, rules are rules. Colson has been an agent of the ASCHEN for most of his life, and strictly abiding by the ASCHEN hierarchy has long become an instinct imprinted in his bones. No matter how unhappy he is, Stark is now his commander.

Colson led the Avengers to the mothership. The gangway was closed immediately after they boarded the ship, the hatched door closed, and the turbine engine sprayed a hurricane downward. The powerful wind pressure almost crushed the thick tree trunks around him, and the giant steel whale slowly rose in the heavy roar. The optical camouflage device activated, and the entire ship seemed to be covered with a layer of rippling waves. In just a few seconds, the ship covering the sky and the sun was completely integrated with the environment and disappeared into the blue sky.

Under Colson's leadership, everyone walked deep into the mothership. The employees and spies along the way would stop and greet them with standard salutes.

Colson glanced at the sunglasses on Tony's nose bridge: "...... Secretary, maybe you should consider taking that off?"

Is it really meaningful to wear sunglasses in a mothership?

Tony pushed down the frame: "Ah? Are you all like this? When I saw you last time, I was wearing a pair of sunglasses in the middle of the night?"

"...I'm trying to hide my identity, not because I look so good." Colson tried to be calm.

"Oh, I thought agents like this outfit, suit with sunglasses, and standard agent hair style. By the way, when it comes to hairstyles, Tony turned sideways and gestured at Colson's head, "Wow, brother, your hairline is so high. It will definitely be difficult for the past few years to throw the old fox Frey to you such a mess, right?"

Otherwise, why did he lose so much hair? This sounds like what he said.

"But don't worry, I'll save you." Tony patted his shoulder and said in a tone of "Don't worry, leave it all to me", "If I'm here, you don't have to worry about anything next. You've completely freed from the position of director."

No, it’s because of you that I feel completely unreliable.

And after saying so much, Tony didn't mean to take off his sunglasses.

After passing through several passages, they came to the command center of the mothership. The space of 200 square meters was filled with top-level dedicated computers. Communication agents performed their own duties in front of their respective screens. Transparent blue screens were suspended on the ceiling, and the holographic projection of the earth was suspended at the bottom of the observation deck.

Colson still couldn't help feeling a little proud. After the disbandment of ASCHEN, the resources he could reach were limited to the minimum, and even the Kun-type fighter jets were exhausted. I remember that when ASCHEN was in Nick Fury's hands, there were several motherships in the Sanquyi Building that could be replaced every week, and the remaining few were all parked at the bottom for maintenance. When ASCHEN got into his hands, it felt like the family had to count change and live a life of change after bankruptcy. It would hurt for a long time to shoot a bullet.

This only one floating carrier was the result he finally obtained after trying his best to avoid others' eyes and ears, spending a lot of resources and hard work. It can be said to be the most expensive weapon of existing S.H.I.E.D.

The new director Tony Stark stood in the command center and smacked his lips: "You guys are not good at it. After so many years, this set of equipment is exactly the same as Nick Fury's era, and there is no technological breakthrough at all... Well, it seems to be a little worse than what I remember, and it seems to have regressed?"

Colson: "@#¥%&!..."

Colson suddenly remembered that he seemed to have offended Brigadier General Tabert in the past (that was kidnapped back to the ASCHD base once or twice), and the return of this time was planned by Brigadier Tabert. So that old guy wouldn't say that he wouldn't take his past grudges and take private revenge on his own, deliberately making such an annoying director to take revenge on himself?

"Sure enough, he is still the same as before, boss."

Tony turned around and saw a tall beautiful agent standing at the stairs on the second floor, looking at them with a smile. She had black hair and tight combat uniforms with a sealed ASUS badge on her body, and her uniform outlined her hot figure to the fullest.

Former Deputy Director of SHIELD, Maria Hill.

"Hi, Hill." Natasha showed a happy expression, as if she had seen an old friend she had been away from for a long time.

"Natasha." Hill walked down the stairs, and also greeted Hawkeye on the side, "Clint."

She smiled and hugged the two old ASCH agents and asked, "How is it? Now ASCH agents are back. Are you interested in coming back and continuing to do your old job?"

Natasha smiled and shook her head: "No, I'm in good condition now."

Clint hugged his arms and shrugged his shoulders, pointing at Stark: "Work for this guy? Forget it. I might as well choose to retire and go home to retire."

"Hey, I'm one of the most friendly bosses in New York." Tony was displeased. "If you don't believe it, go to the lobby at the bottom of the Stark Building and ask any employee who passes by. They will tell you how approachable their boss is."

After a pause, he turned to Hill and looked her up and down: "Well, you really look better when you wear this outfit."

Hill smiled: "Thank you, boss."

"But you switched from one place to another, and found that the boss was the same person." Tony took a serious look, "It seems that you are destined to be unable to escape me."

What he said is the fact. After the disbandment of ASCHUN, a large number of agents from various departments went their separate ways. Deputy Director Maria Hill has worked in the Stark Group for the past few years. Now she has jumped from the Stark Group and returned to the Stark Group, but the boss is still Tony Stark.

Hill continued to smile: "I will convey all your words to Miss Potts, Director."

"...Okay, I was wrong." Tony immediately changed his words.

"You can put the greetings for a while," Rogers interrupted the conversation and asked, "Is there a task to hand over to the Avengers if we are here this time?"

Tony and Colson looked at each other, then Colson spoke and explained: "Well...yes, to be precise, there is a task that requires your assistance, Captain."

"I?"

"Yes. A distinguished guest will come to our country in two days," Tony paused, looked at Rogers and said, "There is confirmed information that the other party is being hunted by some dangerous people. According to the request of our guest... he specifically named him that he hopes you can provide him with protection, Captain."
