Chapter 2 The Traveler
Loki lay on the ground, and the bones of his palms trampled by the heavy metal soles were painful. He looked up with great effort and saw only the black palms spread out and almost touching the tip of his nose. Countless light particles rotated into vortexes in the center of the palm, and the deep blue light enveloped his face.
Cold sweat began to ooze from the forehead of the God of Scheming. At this moment, he really had a strong premonition of "I will definitely die now" from the deepest part of his heart. The conceit and arrogance of the Asgard gods were instantly thrown out of the sky. He felt that he was unprecedentedly small and helpless, and the dark steel figure in front of him was as terrified as death against the backdrop of the faint blue light.
This moment was extremely long for Loki, but in fact it was only a matter of half a second. The black armored palm cannon quickly completed the charging, and the beam shot out loud, locking Loki's face tightly.
But this evil god seemed quite deadly. The domineering energy impact failed to blow up his head. Flame-colored sparks burst out of thin air, and the flames led out a trajectory to cut out a circle, forming a circular magic array, like a shield blocking Loki. The energy bomb exploded on the magic shield, completely unable to shake the shield.
The black armored helmet looked sideways, and the fluorescence in the V-shaped eyepiece seemed to flash.
The nosy guy. He muttered in his heart.
Loki was still standing there, completely unable to understand the reason for escaping from death. However, without giving him the rest of his thoughts, another spark splashed and drew a circle under him - this time it seemed to be a magic circle for space teleportation. Loki suddenly fell in with a "ah", and his long shout came to an abrupt end as the magic circle disappeared.
The mage in the yellow robe walked out from some corner of the laboratory. She wore a hood and most of her face was hidden in the shadow of the brim, but it was not difficult to tell from her figure that she was a woman. Her arms were fair and slender under her wide sleeves, which looked a little dissonant with this simple robe.
"Angel 1 Master." The man in black armor picked up his arm, "I can't say how surprised I was to see you here, but I definitely didn't feel happy at all."
"I haven't seen you for so long, don't you plan to spend some time talking to me?" said the mage calmly.
The man shrugged: "Can't do it."
The yellow-robed mage made a gesture, and the figures of the two men seemed to be twisted, or it seemed that the space itself was twisted and folded. Their bodies were rotating and sucked into the space, and disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Agent Patton half-squatted behind the cover, staring at the disappearance of the three guys of unknown origin, feeling that he suddenly became an irrelevant crowd watching the show. He turned his head toward Director Fury.
"So," he asked, "what should we do now?"
Nick Fury looked ashen, and his lips were almost pursed into a slit.
"I have no idea."

The mage in black armor and yellow robe stood on the side of a twenty-story building in a very antiphysical state, with its body completely parallel to the ground, and traffic flowed continuously on the bustling streets dozens of meters away from them.
Of course no one will notice them, because this is a "mirror space", which is equivalent to a mirror image of the real space. Although it has always existed, it is difficult to be noticed. Only by using corresponding spells can you step in. Nothing happens here will affect reality.
The mage's hands were huddled in his wide sleeves and carried them behind him in an interlaced manner.
"There is no need for a mask in front of me." She said, paused, and called out the name of the armored dresser, "Michael Paso."
The armored dresser did not respond. He made a gesture, and a spark appeared, and a circular spell portal was cut out in the space behind him. The armor covering his whole body disintegrated one by one, hundreds of parts peeled off from his body and flew into the portal one by one.
It turned out to be a young man under the armor. He looked only twenty years old at most, but he had a sharp look like an eagle. He was thin and had black hair that refused to tame, giving people the feeling of a sharp arrow that could not be triggered.
The mage took off his hood and revealed the light under the hood that could tell people's head.
"Why did the Supreme Master who guards the dimension have free time to come and chat with me?" Michael looked at the rushing street below, "Don't you still have a whole plane to care about?"
Gu Yi looked at him for a moment and did not directly answer his question: "It seems that you didn't listen to me in the end."
Michael leaned down and said, "You mean to try to kill Rocky? Believe me, I'm contributing to this world. We can save a lot of trouble if this guy dies here."
"You do not belong to this world. You come from a high-level dimension that is extremely far away from us, so you may know the future development trajectory of this world within a certain range. But we discussed this issue when you were still in Kamataj." Gu Yi said.
"Of course, I haven't forgotten." Michael said lightly, "You said I should not interfere with major events that affect the direction of world history, because you believe that fate should not be changed easily. You were my master, and you personally taught me magic and led me into the door of secret techniques. I respect you very much in most aspects, from the heart. But what I still don't understand is why people with such great abilities as you are still trapped by the so-called fate."
Master Ancient One shook his head gently: "It is precisely the more you know, the more you can understand. If you modify history and erase a disaster, the world can always find other forms to fill this loophole. Although Loki may cause some disasters, his fate has not ended yet. He still has an important position in future history. Disturbing the rules and numbers based on his own preferences will only lead to even more unimaginable disasters."
"I don't want to use this set," said Michael. "I only believe that I have control over my own destiny. The future path is open up by myself. The so-called fate is just an excuse to escape. It was precisely because of the inconsistency of basic ideas that I chose to leave Kama Taj."
After a pause, he turned his head and glanced at the supreme mage.
"You should have known that I will not follow your path in the end," he said softly, "but despite this, you still give me all your gifts."
Gu Yi looked at him meaningfully for a while, his eyes flashed for a moment, and then his eyes turned back outside the mirror. The people on the other end of the mirror were moving in a hurry, and the vehicles were flowing like endless streams of water flowing between artificially marked streets.
"You are different." She said after a while, "You have a profound attainment in science and technology, and your understanding of magic and spells is also rare. What's more valuable is that you have the talent to combine the two, which I have never seen before in anyone."
This is a fact. About three years ago, Michael appeared in front of Kama Taj's door and asked her to teach magic. On the same afternoon, Gu Yi taught him the starting method of basic magic construction and warned him that the only trick to master magic was to practice diligently.
According to the experience of Ancient One, most people may need practice last month to complete the first construction of the basic magic array, and some geniuses may be able to reduce this time to one to two weeks. But even she did not expect that the young man perfectly demonstrated the process of magic array construction to her the next morning - and even made some rough and personalized modifications to the magic seal she taught.
Michael didn't sleep all night that night. Instead of repeating the exercises mechanically as the Supreme Master taught, he tried to analyze the spells from a scientific perspective by recording various energy fluctuations when casting, drawing curves and building models. For him, every exercise was like an experimental debugging, and recording and collecting the results of each experiment could help him do better next time.
Whether it is science or magic, they are all ways to understand and apply worldly laws, but the angles are different. The two are interdependent and interconnected.
Since then, Gu Yi has discovered that this young man is different. At that time, she may have thought of cultivating Michael into the next generation of supreme mage, but after she was convinced that this young man would not obey the teachings, she gave up this idea.
"But after you know that I may interfere with the original trajectory of this world in the future, you still teach me knowledge without reservation." Michael looked at her squintingly and said, "Maybe it's just that you refuse to admit it, but in fact, you want to make changes in your heart, right? You also foresee that the world will be baptized one after another in the future. You said that your fate is not violated, but in the deepest part, I still hope that someone will try to turn the world around."
Gu Yi shook his head: "I teach you magic, just because you are not bad by nature. I believe you will use it in the right place."
Michael shrugged: "Whatever you say. But I have already made my position-I am just a person who desires knowledge, not a hero with noble character."
Gu Yi smiled slightly: "It's just that you haven't realized it yet. But one day, when the time of choice comes, I know you will make the right choice."
The two of them were silent for a moment. A loud whistle sound came from the street outside the mirror, and the biting cold wind blew along the surface of the building, stirring the mage's thin robe.
"So," Michael spoke again after a while, his eyes still staring straight into the brightly lit neighborhood through the mirror, "What are you going to do with Rocky? You won't plan to let him come back and do what he plans to do, are you?"
Gu Yi shook his head: "I have some friendship with Odin of the Asgardian gods. Loki will be transferred back to the Asgardian gods."
"Okay, since it's all in your hands, I don't think I will have another chance." Michael waved his hand, turned around and made a gesture. The mirror cut across the side of the building seemed to sense the instructions he issued through this gesture, and quickly cut a gap, like an open door.
Michael walked perpendicular to the wall towards the door, paused before leaving, and turned halfway over.
"You know," he said, "things I mentioned to you before still work."
Master Gu Yi looked calm: "If you refer to my death, I know."
Michael frowned: "Are you sure you don't want to know the details?"
Master Gu Yi smiled: "A person will die, and I have lived long enough. I can feel that my deadline is approaching, but this is also a destined arrangement. So there is no need to worry about it."
Michael shook his head, still unable to understand her point of view. But he finally said nothing, turned around and walked into the gap in the mirror, leaving this magical space. The mirror followed him closely and repaired and closed, smooth as if there had never been a crack.
