Chapter 9 Birds (3)
This is the first time that Li Yun saw a bird near the company.
They are full of tall buildings, office buildings everywhere, and cars are endless on the road next to them. Places like snack street are in another direction, and they have to cross an intersection. Not to mention a bird with a rare feather color, he has never heard of the bird's cry.
The bird had already flew away. Li Yun was just a little surprised for a while, then walked into the tea room and poured water for himself.
On the water dispenser, bubbles emerged from the bucket, making a gurgling sound. The cup was clattering, and it was gradually filled with pure water.
Perhaps because he was divided by the bird, he didn't feel uncomfortable anymore.
He still drank two sips of water before he was about to take the cup and return to his desk.
Bang!
With a loud bang, Li Yun shook his hand and the mug hit the marble table directly. The cup broke in response to the sound, and the remaining water in the cup sprinkled directly on Li Yun's leather shoes.
Li Yun didn't bother to look at the pieces of the cup and the wet leather shoes, so he turned his head and almost twisted his neck.
There was nothing outside the window, but there was a touch of sticky red on the glass.
The red blood slowly slid down, leaving several traces of varying lengths on the glass.
Li Yun's heartbeat was accelerating, and he couldn't hold the half cup.
He threw the cup on the desk and slowly walked towards the window.
His leather shoes were stepped on water and the cup slag. There was a tiny sound under the soles of his shoes.
Li Yun didn't hear the sound under his feet at all, nor did he feel the strangeness under his feet. He only heard his heartbeat.
His hands trembled, pressed against the glass window, and his head leaned over and looked out the window.
He lowered his eyes, his eyes protruding out, trying hard to see clearly downstairs.
The distance between the eleventh floor allowed him to only see the floor tiles downstairs and the bare flower beds.
The blood on the window glass is near to my eyes.
That's indeed blood, not ketchup or something.
Li Yun seemed to be frightened, then stepped back, and stepped on the mug's slag again with his feet. This time he felt it, lowered his head, and hurriedly dodged.
A colleague asked with concern: "What's wrong?"
Only then did Li Yun find that someone was standing at the door.
"The cup is broken." There was another one behind the man, and he just glanced at the ground and then withdrew his gaze.
Two young female colleagues walked in and didn't take it seriously.
Li Yun was still in shock.
He couldn't remember for a moment, and he just leaned against the window and wanted to see something. Why did he look downstairs without thinking? He subconsciously seemed to think...
"Ah, what's this?" The colleague who came to make tea suddenly screamed and pointed at the window glass.
Another colleague walked closer and looked, reached out and touched the window, pushed the air window open, leaned over and looked out.
"It seems to be blood? Outside the window." She said uncertainly.
The colleague turned to look at Li Yun, "Where does the blood come from?"
They were talking naturally, not as panic as Li Yun had before, but were just a kind of confusion and doubt.
Li Yun shook his head, exhaled, and began to clean up the fragments on the ground. His hands were still a little shaking, but this did not prevent him from cleaning the ground. The sound of tea making by his colleagues gradually relaxed his nerves. This was the daily life he was used to. Even if they were still talking about blood, he didn't feel uncomfortable.
Li Yun threw the cup and the pieces into the trash can. This action seemed to throw away his anxiety.
He took a deep breath and prepared to return to his seat and continue working.
A click-and-click sound came from the direction of the window.
Both colleagues who were chatting while drinking tea stopped talking.
"Oh, little bird!" a colleague shouted.
Li Yun was about to take steps to stop.
"Flying in, fly in! Don't let it fly in!"
"Don't shout."
"Let you not close the window before."
The conversation between the two was very fast.
Li Yunxin felt something, and the little bird had already appeared in his mind.
The body the size of a fist, brown and yellow feathers, bright red on the top of the head...
Li Yun slowly turned around.
The two colleagues put down their cups, opened their arms, waved their hands, and made a "sheep" sound from their mouths.
The bird looked at the two strange creatures curiously. It stood on the open window ridge, motionless, without any intention to come in, nor intended to leave.
Li Yun saw the red color on the bird's head. However, the color and shape were slightly different from what he remembered.
"Meow!" The colleague opened his teeth and claws, and learned to meow in his mouth.
Another person complained with laughter and cry, "What are you doing?"
"Pretend to scare it. Meow!" The man did it again, this time he waved his hands and jumped towards the bird.
The bird was frightened, flapped its wings and flew away, and disappeared.
Li Yun just thought he had watched a scene. This was just a small episode in the daily monotonous and repeated life. He was about to leave, but he heard his colleague's questioning in surprise.
“There is blood here.”
Li Yun's figure was fixed again.
"Where did it come from? Just now..."
"Is the bird's head red just now?"
"Is it injured?"
"Oh... I might have wanted to ask for help just now."
My colleague became upset.
The uninvited guest turned into a small animal asking for help from humans, and humans' attitude towards it naturally changed.
Li Yun's mentality has also changed.
He stood stiffly at the door, feeling the cold sweat passing through his neck and into his collar.
He thought of the loud noises...
"Li Yun, what's wrong with you?" the colleague asked behind his back.
Li Yun didn't dare to look back.
He responded vaguely and ran out without looking back.
He walked quickly all the way, rushed back to his desk, and sat down. He gasped, as if he had just experienced a fierce exercise, his heartbeat and breathing had not returned to normal. He could not calm down.
Just a bird.
Maybe it was still a foolish bird who foolishly hit the glass.
This is normal.
Li Yun told himself this.
He also took out his cell phone and searched on the web page.
There are 2380,000 related results under the search term "Bird hits a window", and the question and answer in the first result are the four words "This is a good omen".
Li Yun thought, this was a good omen.
His mood strangely returned to calm and became relaxed.
It's just that the sound is a bit scary.
Suddenly hearing such a thing was shocking.
Others... nothing.
The two female colleagues happened to be back, and they were still talking about the little bird when they passed by Li Yun.
Li Yun put down his cell phone and thought to himself a little self-deprecatingly that he was too timid.
This thought came out and he seemed to have gained the courage, and the feeling of being frightened was wiped out.
He cheered up and started working again.
Nothing happened that day.
The next morning, Li Yun was woken up by an alarm clock.
No annoying birds.
Life is back on track. The previous little fright has become a memory and sinks into the depths of memory.
Li Yun had a wonderful weekend. He drank with his old friend on Saturday and went on a blind date with a girl under the arrangement of his parents on Sunday. The other party was named Zhang Xinqian, who was beautiful and gentle and generous. Both parties came for the blind date for the purpose of marriage. Li Yun was very satisfied, and the other party looked very satisfied. The two agreed to date next week.
With the arrival of the new week, Li Yun has forgotten about the bird.
He was looking forward to the weekend date. After looking forward to this, he directly thought of his future marriage life. He was a little happy, a little nervous, and thought about it all night.
On Saturday, Li Yun and Zhang Xinqian watched a movie and had supper together.
Zhang Xinqian looked a little absent-minded. She didn't have the enthusiasm she had when she met last time, and she was distracted several times, as if she had forgotten that there was someone sitting opposite her.
Li Yun didn't know what the problem was.
