Chapter 69 Confession

Stark Building.

Nick Fury stared at the unconscious scorpion behind the glass cover and asked, "Who is this? Peter Parker?"

"No, if you mean that spider-web head, it was him who brought this guy here," Tony said.

"What?" Fury's one-eyed eyes widened in surprise.

"I guess someone cloned this child." Tony said seriously, "Someone coveted Spider-Man's ability, cloned him, and transformed the clone to try to strengthen his combat power. Do you know who is conducting a super soldier cloning experiment?"

After staring at the unconscious clone for a long time, Fury gently closed his eyelids, as if he had made a major decision.

Then, he took out the phone.

"This is the One-Eyed Eagle, Verify the password EdO'Neil. Notify the Spider Hunters to be ready, I'm going to meet with them in Queens... Yes, transfer me a whole camp, we'll clean up the filth."

"What? That's the best solution you can come up with?" Tony said, "Go and catch a teenager?"

"I'm just doing what I have to do, Stark." Fury said coldly, "Spider-Man has always been a hidden danger. We have been monitoring him for a long time. And now, the highest security gene has been leaked. We don't know where it is, nor how serious it is. This is the highest level of security accident in the country. So if you don't want to cause trouble, Stark, you'd better not meddle in other people's business."

After saying that, he swung the long black windbreaker and turned around and left.

Peter felt like he was going crazy.

He first went to the small warehouse where he had secretly had a secret encounter with Mary Jane, and then to the old house before he moved. He ran around almost all the places he thought Mary might go, but he has found nothing yet.

A lunatic appeared earlier today. Peter subdued him and was surprised to find that guy had the same face as himself. Well, it would be horrible enough to have a tail running around outside, and now he accidentally learned that his girlfriend, Mary Jane, was missing. Considering that she was involved in Spider-Man, this would not be a good thing in general.

Peter wandered aimlessly outside for two hours, but found nothing. He didn't know what else he could do. He dragged his heavy steps back home, feeling that the world seemed to be collapsing.

He was about to collapse. The burden of becoming Spider-Man might be too heavy for his tender shoulders, and he felt suffocated. He needed someone to talk to, someone who could understand him.

Whenever this happens, Mary Jane is always a good candidate, but now she has become one of the problems that Peter has to worry about. He doesn't know who else can talk about it...

Aunt Mei.

When this thought came into his mind, he was shocked.

No, Aunt Mei's fixed mindset always feels that I am still a seven-year-old child. She has experienced enough. You can't add such an unnecessary burden to her that she can't bear.

But who knows? Aunt Mei is a strong person, and it is likely that she is the strongest person you have ever met in your life. She can accept it. She can help you overcome difficulties. She is like your mother. The more you need family at this time.

The two elves in their minds had their own opinions and had a constant argument. Until Peter came to the door, he couldn't make arguing.

He stood in front of the door for more than a minute before finally making up his mind. He took a deep breath and opened the door. He felt like a hundred big men were beating drums in his heart, as nervous as if he was about to be criticized.

"Peter!?"

The lights in the living room were on, and the sound of the door was pushed on was heard, Aunt Mei came out of the living room anxiously, obviously waiting anxiously.

"Aunt May." Peter hesitated for a long time, not knowing how to speak.

"Have you found Mary Jane?"

"No." He gritted his teeth, "I think... it's all my fault."

Aunt Mei hugged him with distress: "Silly kid, don't try to hold everything on your shoulders. No one can bear the weight of this world. We will come up with a solution, okay?"

"No, you don't understand, Aunt Mei... Everything that happened to us, the endless troubles around us... it's all because of me."

"What are you talking about?" Aunt Mei realized that something was wrong, "Are you hiding something from me, Peter?"

"I...I'm sorry, Aunt Mei." He lowered his head and did not dare to look in Aunt Mei's eyes. "I...I'm Spider-Man."

A long silence.

Suddenly, it was as if the whole world had become quiet, and only the clock and pointers were walking around "clicking". The aging incandescent lamp in the living room seemed to be dimmer than usual, and the two light tubes seemed to be half out.

Peter finally couldn't help it anymore. He carefully glanced at Aunt Mei with his light and confirmed her expression.

"Say it again." She spoke slowly.

"Spider-Man," Peter said, "that guy in tights is me."

"Show me the proof."

Peter jumped up as he spoke, and jumped onto the roof with amazing bounce force, sticking to the ceiling.

"Enough."

Peter fell back to the floor and waited quietly for his hair to fall.

"You've always been?"

"Since being bitten by a spider, yes," Peter lowered his head, "I'm sorry about Uncle Ben. I should have been able to..."

"Go out." Aunt Mei's voice suddenly dropped several times, cold and unquestionable.

Peter was stunned: "But..."

"I'll tell me! Leave my house!" Aunt Mei raised her voice.

Peter was stunned. He knew that Aunt May's view of Spider-Man has always been bad, and he had long expected Aunt May would be angry about concealing that he was Spider-Man. He was mentally prepared. But he just swept him out? He had never even thought about this.

What special reason makes her so angry? Does she really hate Spider-Man to this point?

The door of the old house was pushed open again, and a person Peter never expected to see again appeared at the door.

"Hey, May, when did you become so irritable?"

The man in a suit and tie held the door handle with one hand, and his face looked a bit similar to Peter, but there were a circle of wrinkles printed on the corners of his eyes.

"Don't get angry with the child," he said. "He's just a child, trying to remedy his child in an impossible situation."

"Richard." Aunt May seemed not surprised. She wrapped her arms around her chest and said somberly, "Take your child away and take it out of my house."

Peter's mouth was so wide that he couldn't stop talking: "Richard? I...my father? Dad?"

"Hey, boy." Richard Parker looked at him with a smile, his father's love unconcealed.

Tears burst out from her eyes uncontrollably, and Peter tried his best to control his voice: "You...you are still alive."
