Chapter 40 Vacation Plans

A few days ago.
The day after defeating Obadai Stan, Eric and Tony were both "invited" to the ASCHE's floating carrier.
When Colson led the two to the reception room, Tony, who had boarded the floating carrier for the first time, couldn't help but complain: "So the headquarters of your super agents has been flying in the sky like this? Wouldn't it fall without oil?"
Eric almost laughed out loud: "I have a hunch that it will fall every week."
Colson ignored the two of them's complaints expressionlessly and led them to the door of the reception room: "The director is waiting for you inside."
The automatic door closed behind the two, and Nick Fury, wearing the iconic black windbreaker, sat upright behind the table, with one-eyed eyes as sharp as a knife.
"So what should I call you?" Tony asked, "Is the One-Eyed Man?"
"My name is Nick Fury, and I am the person in charge here." Fury said lightly, "Our department is called ASCHUIN, which is a confidential department dedicated to accidents like Obadai."
"That is to say, the accident happened on the way to recycle the Iron Ba Wang last time, it was your fault?" Tony sarcastically.
"Yes, it was our responsibility that time." Fury still remained calm, "but I asked you to come here today to talk about this. First of all, I think we need to know each other - the intuition tells me that we will deal more and more in the future. Secondly, we have to talk about Stan's questions. You collected all the data that restored Stan's consciousness yesterday."
"Yes, but I've tried various methods and can't directly extract useful memories." Tony said, "Memory digitization is not practical, and it's almost impossible to restore memory information with current technology..."
"That's because you're not doing enough in this area," Fury said. "Our experts have done it."
"What!?" Tony was stunned.
"Not complete, we only extracted some fragments and restored some keywords, and we couldn't even make up the complete sentences." Fury said, "but some parts we get may be crucial, and to be precise, it should revolve around a recurring word - Wayne Enterprise."
"Wayne? The one from Gotham City?" Eric couldn't help but scream.
"It should be." Fury said, "We can only assume that perhaps Wayne's company and Stan's comeback may be related, but it's just a lack of evidence speculation. I have sent agents to investigate secretly. I will notify you if there is any progress."
"No need." Eric said coldly, "I want to go to Gotham in person to take a look."
Now.
The week-long temporary suspension holiday was fleeting, and the students finally had to return to school to face the final test. Eric had no intention of preparing these things because of some crazy things that suddenly broke into life. Fortunately, the high school exam in the United States was like eating and sleeping in his words. It was not a problem to use his brain a little.
In the end, the teacher really generously gave him an "A".
It won’t be long before the students are about to celebrate spring break, and most high school students may choose to fill the holiday with parties and movies, but Eric cannot, and he has some important arrangements.
Eric leaned against the trunk ten steps away in front of the classroom door waiting for something. The lazy sunlight penetrated through the dense branches and leaves, and splashed between the mottled tree shadows, making Eric yawn involuntarily.
The phone ringtone rang, and he picked it up without even looking: "Hey? Who?"
"It's me, little devil. Now turn around and look here...yes, it's here, I'm waving to you, have you seen it?"
Eric was stunned and took several seconds to confirm that the one who waved to him across the street outside the school was indeed Tony Stark.
Tony Stark, Playboy, Billionaire, Iron Man, appears at the door of his school?
It seems strange to think about it, just like he is a parent waiting to take him home.
He quickly walked across the street, and Stark was sucking a cup of cheap milk tea from a roadside shop with a straw.
"This thing tastes really good. I'm a little tired of Xiao Chili's fruit drink. I should get more of this thing and drink it back."
I don't know if he is serious or joking, but when I think about Stark drinking cheap milk tea in his mansion every day, Eric can't help laughing.
"Speak up if you have anything, you must have come to drink this one, right?" Eric said, "I'll have something to do later."
"First of all, I want to thank you for your help a few days ago. Of course, you know that even I can solve the problem alone, but... I'm still thanking you for your help to make things easier."
Well, probably this is Tony Stark's most sincere thanks, otherwise what else can you expect?
"About that...you said you were going to investigate on spring break yourself," Tony changed the subject and became serious, "Are you serious?"
"What do you think I'm joking?"
"You know that could be dangerous, and you're just a kid," Tony said. "Maybe you should have the desperate agents do it...what are they called?"
"AsiaShield." Eric reminded.
"Yes, they are them," Tony said. "Although I don't like them, especially the one-eyed leader, investigating this is indeed their strength."
After a while of silence, Eric said, "I didn't think about it, but I don't trust Nick Fury very much. At least when it comes to my parents, I always feel that he has something to hide from me. So I have to figure it out myself, and this is my own business."
Tony sighed softly: "Okay, be careful yourself. If there is anything you need help..."
"I will look for you, thank you."
"In fact, I just wanted to say that I could make an appointment with my private secretary."
Eric: "..."
About ten minutes later, the bell for the end of get out of class finally rang. When Ruiwen packed his schoolbag and followed the classmates out of the classroom, he saw Eric leaning against the tree trunk waving at her from a distance.
"You guys go first today, I have something to do."
After sending his companion away, Raven quickly came to Eric.
"So what?" she asked.
"Can't you talk to you if you're fine? What's the result of the test?"
"It's okay."
"Thanks to me?"
Ruiwen glanced at him sideways without answering.
The two began to walk outside the school.
"Are there any arrangements for spring break?" Eric asked.
"without."
"Why go out with me and go to another city," Eric said with a smile. "Do you know? Normal children spend holidays like this - travel, parties, singing and partying. You have to find a companion in your spare time."
"Is that true?"
Raven's tone was still neither salty nor light, and the shadow of her hood made people unable to see the expression on her face.
She seemed to hesitate for a while, and walked out of the school gate before finally speaking: "It's better... forget it. I'm used to being alone."
"Forget it if you don't want to go." Eric shrugged, "It's a pleasant spring break."
After saying that, he turned around and walked towards his way home.
Ruiwen stopped and inadvertently swept towards his leaving back from the corner of his eyes.
What am I thinking! She secretly scolded herself. Sangu is still eyeing me now, not knowing when it will make a comeback. I shouldn't be involved with anyone. I should quickly disappear from everyone's vision and hide it...
"Hello!"
She couldn't help but shouted Eric.
Eric, who was about to cross the corner, turned around and waited for her to speak.
This is a mistake, Raven. She said to herself.
"Where are you going...?"
Eric smiled slightly, knowing that the girl had agreed.
