Chapter 33 Undead?
The dazzling fluorescent light left a large spot on the retina. Under the light, the eyes that barely opened a crack and vaguely saw the white brick ceiling. There seemed to be a glimpse of the infusion bottle for the drip in the corner of the eye.
Then the severe pain came from the arm.
Tony Stark struggled to sit up and was immediately scolded and stopped.
"You can't get up yet, Tony." The speaker was Pepper Pots, his secretary and girlfriend, whom Tony liked to call her "Little Pepper".
"Oh hell, I remembered it." Tony lay back and frowned, "A slut attacked my party...how bad was it?"
"Your left arm is broken." Xiao Chili said, "A sputtering armor-piercing bullet rubbed your arm. It's incredible that it only scratched a little bit. You're lucky."
"No, no, I'm talking about the guest."
"They're fine, only some people were slightly injured. They're not the target, Tony," Little Pepper paused, worriedly, "You're."
"I know you're going to mention that topic again, looking at your eyes."
"Of course I have to mention - this is crazy, Tony. It's like being a superhero isn't crazy enough for you, and you have to expose yourself to the guns of all your enemies!"
"Hehe, calm down, okay?" Tony said, "Look, he has no success. I'm still alive, right?"
"You are lucky this time," said Little Pepper. "The guests said that the armored man on the TV saved you, and he happened to be nearby."
"Oh, that little devil. It's not exactly what I invited him, and..." Tony said, pausing, looking at the door of the ward, "...this little devil is behind you."
When Little Pepper turned around, Eric happened to push the door and come in.
Tony gestured to Little Chili with a look: "Do you mind avoiding it first? This little brother and I may have something to talk about."
"He's...oh, I understand. I'll go first... to discuss your bodyguard matters with Hapi, and you can hold a 'superhero meeting' slowly."
Little Chili said and went out and closed the door.
"'Superhero Meeting'?" Eric raised his eyebrows, "Seriously? Why not call the same-friendly meeting."
"She has always been incompetent in naming her." Tony shrugged, "I guess I owe you once first."
"Yes, yes," Eric grinned, "just a supercar. Oh no, the motorcycle is better and more handsome."
"Small question, remember to remind me that I have time to order one for you." Tony said, pausing for a moment, and asked, "So, have you fought with that guy? Who is the other person? How many people are there?"
"Just one, your old friend," Eric said, "they have sent you the surveillance video, and you can see it yourself now."
Tony frowned, took out his cell phone from his jacket, and quickly found the hotel's surveillance camera.
The pixels of the surveillance camera are already very low, and the chandelier was scrapped when the first rocket was shot. It was hard to see the situation in the hall clearly against the swaying fire.
But when he saw the dark steel giant fighting with Eric, his pupils shrank and his eyes widened.
"No." He shook his head, "it wouldn't be him."
"You saw it with your own eyes," Eric said.
"I also watched him die with my own eyes, and I watched Obadestin's anger in front of me." Tony insisted, "You haven't seen him with your own eyes, right? Maybe it's just a fake product similar to the Iron Overlord."
Perhaps Eric really dared not say that he could recognize the Iron Overlord by relying solely on the blurry clips in the news, but the movie gave enough shots to this villain, and he was confident that he would not admit his mistakes.
"Mr. Stark, this is him, I can guarantee that I won't admit my mistake." Eric said lightly, "But I'm talking about this layer of iron. We don't know who his dresser is. Anyone can be in this shell, right?"
Tony stared at the big guy dancing Gatling in the blurry picture of his phone, with a complicated expression and falling into deep thought.
Obadai Stan was once the highest CEO of Stark Industry. Although he has now been proven to be incompetent and not only wants to gain power in Stark Industry, but even get rid of Tony, he did help Tony solve many problems in the company and life before that. Last year, Tony had to bear the crazy Obadai. Although he has been pretending to be nothing since then, it is impossible to say that he has no knots in his heart.
And now, watching the crazy steel giant in this short video, it was like watching Obady's ghostly soul kill him from the underworld and break into his life again.
"Did the doctor mention how long I have to stay here?" Tony asked suddenly.
"At least half a month." Eric said, almost guessing what Tony was going to say next.
"Then I'll be discharged from the hospital tomorrow dawn," Tony said. "Now is not the time to sleep when I'm lying down."
"Remember to call me after being discharged from the hospital. You don't seem to be in the best condition of fighting with him for another round."
Tony raised his eyebrows: "So you think I'll need the help of you guys?"
"Ah, it's almost the same." Eric said and opened the door. "Apart from that, don't you want to analyze my armor? Treat this as a good opportunity."
After saying that, he left the ward. As soon as he brought it to the door, he noticed the girl beside the door.
"Raven?" he was a little surprised. "What are you doing here?"
"I saw the accident at the Visa Hotel on TV. I remember you said you were going to have a banquet tonight." She explained lightly, looking up and down at Eric, "So... you don't look like nothing is wrong."
Eric smiled: "So you care about me coming to see me?"
Ruiwen's expression was a little subtle: "Think... right? Why? Can't I show my concern to my teacher?"
"I'm really not honest."
"What?"
"No, I said there is no problem at all."
Ruiwen gave him a blank look and said, "Speaking of this, don't you say you hate troublesome business the most? Why should you take the initiative to help meddle in this guy's business?"
"Stuck?" Eric shrugged, "Don't make a mistake, I asked for help for myself. I have reliable information to tell me that this time Stark's old friend's comeback may be related to the people who had pursued me, so I..."
The "reliable intelligence" he mentioned was Sharon, who had contacted Eric two hours ago. But in fact, she just said "suspected that there might be connections."
"Okay, you can continue to tell yourself this excuse." Ruiwen turned around and prepared to leave, "I'll go back and continue to review and prepare for the test. Come on."
