506 The End of Choibalsan

On the white grassland about thirty kilometers away from Chobashan, a larger convoy was leading an armored assault battalion and heading towards the Sino-Soviet border, preparing to arrive at the Sino-Soviet border before Chobashan, blocking Chobashan within China, and destroying it completely.

In an armored command vehicle in the middle of the team, Xiong Shaowen, the commander of the 13th Army, was searching for something on the map with a serious look on his face. He wanted to find some routes where Qiaobashan might retreat and break through the map.

However, on the white grassland where the roads were everywhere, and Xiong Shaowen had no information to rely on, thinking along the way did not achieve any results except to increase his worries.

As he got closer to the border line, Xiong Shaowen, who was still very calm a day ago, became more and more irritable. Because, on the Sino-Soviet defense line that lasted thousands of miles long, if he did not have accurate information, he would never block Qiaobashan on such a long line of defense and block the last rebels in Outer Mongolia.

At this moment, the armored command vehicle that was moving forward at a constant speed suddenly stopped. Just as a gap was revealed at the gate of the command vehicle, an excited scream reached Xiong Shaowen's ears.

"The military captain, found, the Air Force found Chobashan, just fifty kilometers west of us. As long as we continue to move forward in the current direction and speed, we will be able to collide with the Chobashan rebels at least two hours. At that time, with the two tank regiments in our hands, Chobashan will never escape our palms even if we have wings."

Xiong Shaowen was stunned, and a hint of excitement quickly floated on his face. He ordered to the communications officer standing at the door: "What are you still standing there... Immediately mark the specific location of Qiaobashan on the map, hurry up... Also, report the specific forces and configuration of Qiaobashan's troops to me immediately. The enemy has not left us much time."

"Yes. Military..."

Under the introduction of the Director of the Communications Department, the general situation of Qiao Bashan's troops immediately emerged in Xiong Shaowen's mind. Then, a look of worry from the bottom of his heart appeared on Xiong Shaowen's face and asked the Chief of Staff who looked happy in front of him.

"Chief of Staff. Things are definitely not that simple... Chobashan's troops are all cavalry. Once the other party knows that we are constantly approaching them, if there is no retreat, Chobashan is likely to give up his troops. He will flee our encirclement with a very small number of elite troops with the advantage of cavalry. At that time, even if all the troops abandoned by Chobashan will be eliminated, it will not be considered a task, because as long as Chobashan enters the Soviet territory, he will continue to use his influence to summon Outer Mongolians to form a new army."

The Chief of Staff frowned and asked Xiong Shaowen: "Standar. What do you mean."

Xiong Shaowen took out a pencil. After drawing two large concentric circles on the map, he analyzed to the Chief of Staff: "Chief of Staff, my idea is very simple. No matter what, we must prepare for both."

"First, follow the headquarters' order to pursue the pursuit in this direction, and strive to fight against Qiaobashan here. Second, draw an elite force from the entire army, equipped with a certain number of tanks and armored vehicles, detour here along this line, and deploy a second line of defense around the decisive battlefield. With the cooperation of the Air Force, as long as you find the remnants of the Outer Mongolian Army that may break through 369, you will immediately send troops to pursue it, and strive to wipe out all the troops of Qiaobashan's troops here."

"In this way, in order to give this elite force a stronger pursuit ability, we will draw the 131st Regiment of our army, the tank regiment directly under the army, form a mixed commando team, and go back to the lineup. The assault forces strive to set off within fifteen minutes and arrive at the final destination within three hours for defense. At the same time, we will generate power for the air force assigned to our headquarters and closely monitor the every move of the Outer Mongolian Army. If there is any situation, we will inform our headquarters immediately."

Under the cover of the deafening sound of horse hooves, the Outer Mongolian cavalry running forward did not hear the roar of hundreds of tanks advancing at the same time.

Just one kilometer ahead of the vanguard regiment of Qiaobashan, more than one hundred tanks were arranged in two rows, like a huge rake with a width of one kilometer, rushing towards the direction of the retreat of the Outer Mongolian army.

For tanks with off-road speeds of 30 kilometers per hour, one kilometer distance only takes more than a minute.

Soon, the distance between the two armies changed from one kilometer to five hundred meters.

The Outer Mongolian cavalry who were running from Mercedes-Benz were frightened in advance and fled in all directions. More than 100 tanks gave up the powerful 75mm caliber tank gun.

Two heavy-load machine guns located directly in front of the tank, large-caliber high-level dual-purpose machine guns mounted on the tank turret, and bullets are loaded to prepare for shooting.

Soon, the whistling Outer Mongolian cavalry rushed to a position of 300 meters. Of course, the cavalry in the rushing state also saw more than 100 tanks in front of them rising due to rapid advancement.

However, under the cover of flying snowflakes, the cavalry did not see the tank chariots covered by snowflakes. They still crashed into the tank cluster that was close at hand as fast as possible.

The gunshot sounded, and under the sweeping of more than 300 heavy machine guns, the cavalry charged in front seemed to hit a sight of the unstoppable iron wall, and quickly fell to the ground and turned into corpses. In a blink of an eye, a corpse wall of various corpses formed on the snow about 250 meters away from the tank cluster.

As more and more Mongolian cavalry were shot and fell to the ground, the steel clusters stagnant on the grassland also slowly moved. They opened the trajectory with dense and airtight steel bullets and crushed the cavalry that were constantly falling.

Of course, although the gunfire caused by more than 300 machine guns shooting at the same time is huge, no matter how loud the gunfire is, it cannot suppress the roar of thousands of horses galloping. When more than 100 tanks used steel storms to harvest the lives of the cavalry in front, the Outer Mongolian cavalry located in the rear did not know that they had been attacked, and they still rushed forward, wanting to escape from Outer Mongolia as soon as possible.

When the steel torrent formed by tanks crushed the cavalry's corpses and harvested the lives of the cavalry on the grassland, the 132nd and 133rd regiments, which had already detoured to the two wings of Qiaobashan, quickly surrounded the two wings with the help of countless transport cars, and got closer and closer, preparing to launch an attack on Qiaobashan's troops from both wings.

At this moment, the vanguard regiment of Qiaobashan, who was massacred and ravaged by the cavalry regiment, finally several cavalrymen who reacted slightly faster could escape the attack of more than 300 flame tongues. They ran towards the main force behind desperately, spreading the news that the vanguard regiment was attacked by tanks and suffered heavy losses.

"Commander-in-Chief, something happened... Tank. There was a Han tank unit in front of him blocking the road, and the vanguard regiment was almost completely lost. The Han tank regiment had passed the vanguard regiment and rushed towards our main force by attack..." A cavalry whose arm was hit by a bullet and still kept flowing blood outward. It was like a frightened rabbit, with a pale face reporting.

As soon as the words fell, another cavalry rushed over with his horse. After stopping by Chobashan, he forgot even the least salute. He reported with a look of horror: "Commander-in-Chief, our right wing found a large-scale Han army, all riding in a car. There was only one last kilometer left to us. You can open fire at us in one minute at the latest."

"What... the Han army was also discovered on both wings..." Commander-in-Chief Qiaobashan, who did not expect the disaster to come so quickly, asked in surprise. Then, he kicked the horse's butt, walked out of the team, raised his telescope and looked around.

Hundreds of cars lined up in a row were like a dark cloud, slowly pressing from the grassland one kilometer away to their location. Of course, what scared Chobashan the most was not the hundreds of cars. Instead, a machine gun that was mounted on the roof of the car and emitted a faint blue light under the reflection of the snow.

After a rough sweep, there were at least three general-purpose machine guns on the roof of a car with firepower no less than heavy machine guns. A car with three general-purpose machine guns, and hundreds of cars all add up to tens of thousands, or even more than one thousand general-purpose machine guns with firepower.

Commander-in-chief Qiaobashan could not imagine how great disaster would be to his soldiers if more than a thousand general-purpose machine guns were fired at him at the same time. Not only that, in addition to more than a thousand general-purpose machine guns in front of him, there was a whole regiment of national defense tank troops in front of him, and was sweeping towards him with an unstoppable attack.

Chobashan's face showed a heartfelt expression, not to mention the Soviet major general who was determined to escape from Outer Mongolia.

Qiao Bashan and his subordinates had not yet reacted from the shock, and a scream full of horror had already been heard from the Soviet major general: "Commander-in-Chief Qiao, the National Defense Forces are about to surround us, why are we still standing there? We will immediately divide our troops to break through. As long as we break out, with the support of the Soviet government, you can form another 15,000 troops, or even tens of thousands of troops..... We will break through immediately. If we don't break through, we will not be able to get out..."

Several subordinates who were located behind Qiaobashan and who had been guilty all the time since breaking through, after hearing what the Soviet major general said, their eyes lit up, as if they had been discussed, and they suggested to Qiaobashan in unison: "Commander-in-Chief, please break through immediately. As long as you are alive, we Outer Mongolia still have hope of founding a country. If we don't break through, we will not be able to leave."

With the eager eyes of his surrounding subordinates, Qiaobashan's terrified face finally changed slightly. After a brief hesitation, he decisively ordered: "Order, the headquarters is directly under the guard battalion, and immediately follow me to break through the northwest and retreat... The entire army has it, and it uses the battalion as a unit to break through the scattered border..."

"Dadada..." Just as Chobashan's order came out, the dense gunfire from the front finally rang out.

The dense bullets swept across the location of Chobashan, just like it was raining.

"Commander-in-Chief... Be careful, protect the Commander-in-Chief..." Accompanied by various screams of exclamation, dozens of cavalry guarding around Choba, rushed directly towards the direction of the bullets, and used their bodies to form a human shield in front of Choba Mountain.

Although the main sounds on the battlefield were the sound of horse hooves behind him and the neighing of machine guns in front of him, the sound of bullets entering the flesh that were so close to him was clearly transmitted to Qiaobashan's ears.

Seeing the Outer Mongolian warriors who were constantly rushing towards him turning into corpses one after another, Qiaobashan's face was once again covered with fear expressions. In the face of real death, without the persuasion of the Soviet major general behind him, he turned his horse's head and started to break through.

After paying the lives of hundreds of guards in a row, Chobashan and a group of senior officers finally left the range of the defense force. Of course, Chobashan had already become a frightened rabbit at this moment, and he did not care about his subordinates who were ravaged by the defense force behind him, and continued to run wildly with his subordinates and a guard battalion behind him, breaking out in the northwest direction where there was no defense force at the moment.

Qiaobashan can be protected by guards, and ordinary cavalry that are several kilometers long will not be treated like this. More than a thousand general machine guns, even if there is a machine gun in every five meters interval, more than a thousand can form a firepower line on the battlefield with a front width of more than six kilometers.

Under the cover of this firepower composed entirely of steel storms, the Outer Mongolian cavalry who were running through the defense force had not yet reacted from their shock, as if they were dumplings, falling from the back of the war horse because they were shot.

Of course, more than a thousand general-purpose machine guns were mostly used when Outer Mongolian cavalry was massacring wildly. Still, half of the Outer Mongolian cavalry left the team and retreated in the opposite direction depending on the situation.

However, most of the escaped Mongolian cavalry did not escape the bullet rain from behind. Because no matter how fast their escape speed was, they could not be faster than the speed of bullets with a range of more than kilometers.

In less than a minute, the entire massacre was coming to an end. Of course, in addition to the corpses and a strong smell of blood, there were at least 5,000 Outer Mongolian cavalry scattered around the battlefield in battalions.

On a small high ground two kilometers away from the battlefield, Xiong Shaowen, who witnessed the entire massacre with his own eyes, slowly dissipated. He decisively ordered the chief of staff behind him: "Tell all participating troops to pursue the Outer Mongolian cavalry scattered on the battlefield under the guidance of the Air Force, under the guidance of the battalion company, the Outer Mongolian cavalry scattered on the battlefield should be pursued and ended the battle cleanly..."

When the order was slowly transmitted to the participating troops through radio waves, Xiong Shaowen, who looked serious, continued to order: "There is another order. Contact the commando immediately and under the guidance of the air force, eliminate all Outer Mongolian cavalry that have broken through the encirclement. Especially the Outer Mongolia Commander-in-Chief Qiao Bashan, he must be shot or captured, and he must not be allowed to escape to the Soviet Union."

"Buzz..." A huge engine roar sounded above Qiaobashan and others' heads, and two sharp whistlings like alarms followed closely to Qiaobashan and others' ears. Qiaobashan, who was eager to escape, had not yet reacted from the surprise of surviving the disaster, and two violent explosions rang behind him.

Although the explosion did not hurt Chobashan himself, the huge shock waves and flying fragments generated by the bomb explosion instantly harvested at least 30 Outer Mongolian lives.

Of course, this is just the first wave of attacks by this bomber on Chobashan and others. The second and third waves followed closely by the next... After the explosion of ten 100-kilogram aviation bombs, there were only less than 300 people left in a reinforced guard battalion following Chobashan. What made Chobashan even more annoyed was that the bombers that kept harvesting their lives had no intention of leaving even though all the bombs still roared around everyone's heads, and shot several deadly aviation bullets into the ground from time to time.

Half an hour passed in a blink of an eye. Just as everyone was hoping that the air bombers would run out of fuel and not continue to stick to everyone's heads, another dull engine roar sounded over the sky behind everyone.

With the arrival of a new bomber, the bomber that had been hovering above everyone's heads was unexpectedly stimulated and rushed towards the ground. The dense aviation bullets were not firing out one by one like they had just happened, but were shot out one by one, forming a very eye-catching blood mark among the group of cavalry teams.

Then, he shook his wings like a demonstration and slowly disappeared from everyone's sight.

Of course, Chobashan's nightmare did not end because of this. The new bomber loaded with various ammunition still had no intention of being polite. The aviation bombs were like no money, and kept pouring over everyone's heads. In front of the commander-in-chief of Chobashan, they took away the lives of Outer Mongolian warriors who could be killed by one in the eyes of Chobashan.

When an aviation bomb exploded less than 30 meters away from Chobashan, the huge air wave almost lifted Chobashan off his horse. The Soviet major general who followed Chobashan could not bear this passive beating and completely entrusted his life to the air force of the National Defense Forces. He exclaimed again at Chobashan.

"Commander-in-Chief Qiao must break through the siege... If everyone gathers together, without the attack of the National Defense Forces, we can all be killed on the way to break through with the bombers above our heads..."

"My opinion is that we are divided into three, and we will take two guard platoons separately to break through. Only in this way can a bomber hovering over our heads be unable to attack us with all his might. Only in this way can we get rid of the pursuit of the National Defense Forces and successfully retreat into the Soviet Union..."

Chobashan, who was also full of fear of the overhead bombers and didn't know what to do, agreed without thinking: "Okay, just do it...-...you, I, and the deputy chief of staff, each brought two guard platoons to break through in dispersion. As for who would be stared by the air bombers, it could only be considered unlucky.... Divide troops immediately, hurry up..."

The more than 200 cavalrymen quickly divided into three, running wildly in three different directions regardless of everything.

Faced with the sudden change on the ground, the pilot not only showed any distressed expression on his face, but instead a sneer flashed across his face and reported to the onboard radio station beside his mouth.
