20. A new item--for the purpose of playing game brothers [2/7]

In the biological laboratory of the ghost base, Merlin stood in front of a fully enclosed cultivation cabin. In front of him, there was a long glass cabin with various obstacles arranged inside, just like simulating various terrain in reality.

On the other side of the glass cabin, Miss Lillian carries a special hamster cage, connecting the hamster cage with the glass cabin through a complex connection device.

Moira held the timer in her hand, and she gestured to Merlin, then reached out and pressed the button outside the glass cabin.

A piece of cheese was placed at the end of the glass compartment, and at the same time, a strange little mouse also entered the glass compartment through the passage.

It was very strange and maintained the size of a mouse, but it was wrapped in a layer of swaying black mist, like a cloak. As Merlin watched, the mouse was attracted by the aroma of cheese and ran quickly in the glass compartment.

Those obstacles cannot completely hinder its movement.

It jumped up and down, and its fast-moving body was like flashing mist condensed, flexibly passing through the obstacles, but there was a last obstacle between it and the cheese, which was a wooden board that completely closed the passage, leaving no gap to allow the mouse to atomize through.

The little guy was so anxious that he scratched his head and made a squeaking sound, but it could not resist the temptation of food. Under Merlin's gaze, the little white mouse quickly dissipated into a black fog, just like the "infiltration" of the ghost Ava. It moved its black fog bit by bit through the fully enclosed wooden boards to the end of the glass compartment, and got the fragrant cheese as he wished.

"This atomization seems to be a little more complete than before?"

Merlin turned her head and said to Moira and Lillian:

"The last time I saw this black fog variant, it didn't have the ability to penetrate the real thing."

“Actually it has.”

Lillian reached out to take off the protective glasses on her eyes, and she explained to Merlin:

"This ability to penetrate real objects seems unscientific, but in fact it is very consistent with scientific rules. After complete atomization, the mutant only needs to maintain the frequency of vibration of its atomized body and the vibration frequency of the obstruction itself, and it can theoretically pass through all obstacles. Of course, this is simple to say, but difficult to do."

"It took us a month and stimulated its brain many times before the jealous mouse learned to 'travel' the real thing."

Moira complained regretfully:

"And when I look at me, this is more of an instinct for food cravings. Of course, if I have a human subject with a normal IQ, I might only take a few days to teach him how to use his abilities reasonably."

Merlin did not answer.

He raised his fingers, letting his fingers atomize, and then pointed it on the surface of the glass compartment. He took a deep breath and spread his perceptions on his fingertips, feeling the unique vibration frequency of the glass object, just as Lillian said.

From a physics perspective, everything in the world has its own specific vibration frequency. If it can be consistent with the vibration frequency of a certain object, then a "resonance" reaction can be formed. This is a very simple scientific principle.

Unfortunately, Merlin attached too much importance to magic but ignored the knowledge of technology.

Under the gaze of Moira and Lillian, Merlin's fingers, which turned into mist, vibrated quickly under the magic power, and then "seeped" into the fully enclosed glass compartment bit by bit. The rolling black fog wrapped the white mouse gnawing at cheese.

A few seconds later, Merlin took back the scattered black mist and opened his left hand. The foggy white mouse was lying in his palm, motionless.

"Ah, knowledge is power."

Merlin couldn't help but sigh.

Today, under the "teaching" of Lillian and Moira, he mastered another way of using atomization. This made Merlin realize that the most basic ability of atomization that appeared with his new birth seemed to have a lot of room for exploration.

"Look, you learned it."

Moira looked at Merlin using the previous fog resonance to return the mouse to the glass compartment. She hugged her arms and said calmly:

"It's very simple, right? It only takes a few minutes."

"I can learn so easily because I have perceptions beyond ordinary people and can clearly sense the vibration of objects, but for others, just feeling the vibration frequency is enough to be troublesome."

Merlin said to Moira and Lillian calmly:

"So, even if I really give you an experiment, you will need to spend a lot of time teaching him to use his own power, but before that, I have a problem that I must understand."

Merlin looked at Moira and asked seriously:

"The last time I saw the variant, his mental state was very unstable and he had a serious tendency to self-destruct. I think that was the sequelae of the atomized variant. How do you plan to solve this problem?"

"Lillian will explain this to you."

Moira turned her body sideways and revealed Miss Lillian behind her, who pointed to the transformation room behind her, and she said:

"Myer Moira and I have studied the 'Death' project of a.i.m in detail. We concluded that the reason why the previous atomized variant lost its mind was not actually a problem with the experiment itself, but because of pain."

"Imagine, Director Merlin, every cell in your body is in constant tearing and decay every moment, and new cells are born at the same speed. Through this transformation of weakness and rebirth, the body is maintained in a kind of "

"Quantum state!"

Lillian's description reminded Merlin of Little Ava. He said this word, but it made Lillian and Moira stunned for a moment.

"Well, it's very similar to a quantum state, but in fact the two are completely different."

Lillian glanced at her director with a strange expression, and she continued:

"In short, the 'Death' project is to artificially create this unstable state to allow the experimental subject to decomposition and reconciliation of the body. The external manifestation is controllable atomization. This process is painful, and the most terrifying thing is that this pain is continuous, never decayed, never healed, and it is difficult for normal people to maintain their rationality in such pain."

"The human body has a self-protection mechanism. Once the pain exceeds the limits that the human body can bear, the self-protection mechanism will be activated."

Lillian sighed, the gentle botanist stroked his hair and said to Merlin:

"Crazy, confusion, self-destruction, etc. are all products of pain and are very inhumane experimental sequelae. It is actually very similar to the transformation process of the witch hunter. Therefore, after solving the transformation problem of the witch hunter, we are also equivalent to solving the most difficult troubles of the 'Death' project."

"By neutralizing agents containing plant regeneration genes, we can greatly reduce the pain that the experimental subjects of the 'Death' project endured during atomization. The special experimental neutralizing agent also contains leaf green variants. By illuminating sunlight, the experimental subjects can provide enough energy to temporarily heal their bodies."

Lillian said to Merlin seriously:

"That is, the improved version of the "God of Death" will only feel the enduring pain when it is atomized."

"This pain will not undermine his mental stability, but that said, the long-standing slight stimulating pain will still cause some changes in the will. Therefore, if you want to advance the 'Death' project, our advice is that it is best to choose strong-willed elite soldiers or agents as the test subject."

"Well, I'll think about it."

Merlin did not immediately reply to Lillian and Moira.

After all, this project is different from the "dressing change" plan. The transformation system of the witch hunter has been fully matured after thousands of years of inheritance and scientific research, but the black fog mutation is used to make a difference.

This sounds less secure and reliable.

But Merlin felt that Fury would definitely pass this project proposal. After all, a super 'ghost agent' who came and went without a trace and could penetrate any confidential location, combat bodyguard, and a monkey version of Merlin, which was definitely what Fury wanted.

"You guys sort out the information first."

Merlin said to Moira and Lillian:

"Submit the information to my office in the Trident Building. I want to discuss it with relevant people. If the plan is approved, you may be busy."

"And, Merlin, you'd better go to the engineering lab to take a look before you leave."

As Merlin turned around and was about to leave, Moira reminded:

"That orangutan, Winston, has been obsessed with researching Cybertron technology recently and hasn't walked out of the laboratory for almost half a month. I mean, if it is insane and loses its value, it can be sent directly to me. I have some experiments and need some special 'testing products'."

"I think, probably everyone around you seems to be potential test subjects to you, right? Moira."

Merlin complained:

"Even George?"

"George is the number one test item!"

Moira said without caring:

"You don't know how much I want to cut his brain open and take a look. It is said that George's brain area was developed by the a.i.m group of madmen, which really made me very curious about his internal structure. Oh, and to say, Director Merlin, if you unfortunately die, then your body must be dissected!"

"Okay, I agree."

Merlin waved his hand without looking back, and he said:

"You can wait slowly, and you will get what you want until the day I die."

After leaving the biology laboratory, Merlin walked upwards. He did not take the elevator or use the shape-shifting spell. While walking, some complex calculations were being performed on Icarus' lenses.

It was not until he came to the engineering laboratory that the operation came to an end.

"How is it? What's the result?"

Merlin pushed her glasses and asked.

"Analysis based on the data given by Moira and Lillian, the success rate of the 'Death' project experiment is very high."

Icarus's voice echoed in Merlin's ears:

"When equipped with special weapons, the black fog mutation born from the God of Death Project will have 20%-30% of your combat power in normal form, depending on the potential and combat power of the experimental subject itself. In intelligence operations or special terrain, the role that the black fog mutation can play is magnified many times."

"Excluding personal emotional factors, I suggest you approve this test project. Agents of Death can provide a lot of fault tolerance for the future tactical system of s.d.o.l.d., and in the face of possible future intelligence and equipment crisis, agents of Death who are almost completely immune to physical damage can also come in handy."

"Yeah, I'll think about it again."

Merlin said to Icarus, then reached out and pushed open the laboratory door, and a bad smell came to her face.

The pungent smell of wild beasts, the strange smell of mechanical rust and various motor oils mixed together made Merlin frown. He threw a large-scale cleaning spell at the laboratory, and then evoked the wind composed of magic, sweeping the breath in the laboratory, and then felt better.

"Winston! What are you doing?"

Merlin asked loudly, but the next moment he heard a deep snoring sound.

He walked into the laboratory and under the test bench behind him, he found the gorilla Winston who was sleeping heavily. The guy's research suit was filled with various oil stains, and he didn't know what it had done recently.

Merlin did not bother it, but looked back at what was placed on the lab.

A golden cane made of many mechanical modules, a weird-looking cane.

There is also a simple-looking white flying device with metal wings.

Next to the test bench, there was a bunch of disassembled parts and a defensive robot that had been disassembled halfway. Merlin thought the robot looked very familiar. He looked carefully and found that it was the defensive robot he brought back from the a.i.m's laboratory before.

fortress!

This guy Winston actually took off Merlin's favorite fortress!

And it also adds a lot of Cybertron-specific parts to it!

"Bang"

Merlin slapped Winston on the big face of the sleeping sleeping woman. He put his waist on his waist and looked at the confused orangutan, and he said:

"You'd better explain it to me."

"Oh, Merlin!"

Winston blinked, but it was not angry, but jumped up with joy, and said to Merlin:

"You're here just right, take off your pants!"

“???”
