3. Wake up

Merlin is a wizard. He has dabbled in a lot of magic knowledge. He knows that in some ancient magic inheritances, some mysterious theories believe that dreams are also a world.

Just like some theories about the mystery of magic that Miss Zatanna learned.

They believe that dreams are a buffer between the present world and the mysterious world, supported by every consciousness that exists in the present world, just like an unobservable, bizarre, but real world supported by countless pillars.

Dreams are the place where spirits and life meet. They have their own laws like the present world. Although it is difficult to understand, dreams are like living creatures, rolling and growing in an unimaginable and indescribable environment.

It is an illusion placed on the present world and an area where every life can explore freely.

Of course, Merlin is a wizard from the practical school. He does not believe in this unfounded statement, but he also admits that dreams are indeed not as simple as ordinary people know.

A soul deeply immersed in dreams is difficult to awaken, just like the soul in front of him.

Steve Rogers is a hero of the last era, a symbol of hope and courage in the hearts of the people, a soul wandering in the phantoms of the past, and a soul who is unwilling to wake up.

"I remember entering his spiritual world more than a year ago."

Meilin stood in the surveillance room, looking at the picture in front of him, and he said:

"According to your idea, I tried to wake him up, but the time flow rate in the dream world and the real world is different. I thought he would wake up a little earlier."

"It's actually not too late."

Fury said to Merlin with his hands on his back:

"After he woke up, he had enough time to get familiar with this world that had become unfamiliar to him. If the captain was willing to fight and was willing to become the enemy of Hydra, then maybe he could still catch up with the next battle."

"oh?"

Meilin savored the meaning of Fury's words, and he said to the director of the Raw Egg:

"You mean, you've got a glimpse of the tracking of those traditional Hydras?"

"Um."

Fury nodded, he seemed unwilling to say too much in this place, he briefly said to Merlin:

"Some clues have been found."

"That would be great."

Merlin moved his fingers and said softly:

"We haven't 'communicated' with those old friends for a long time, and I'm really looking forward to it."

“They are not the most important.”

Fury said:

"They are just a transition. Maybe we can find some information from them that is related to our real 'opponents', and the venomous snakes hidden under the deep water, they are the most important."

"yes."

Merlin nodded:

"It's really hard to feel at ease without cutting off the last head of these snakes. When you think of other things mixed in our shadows, when you think of the eyes watching us in the dark, you really feel uncomfortable all over your body."

“We will find them.”

Fury narrowed his eyes, he said firmly, and Merlin nodded in cooperation, and he said:

"Yes, we'll kill them."

These two guys were like acting double acts, one by one, making Agent Hill in the control room a little confused.

Although Agent Hill has been considered to be a "person" who can be believed in after several years of work, Agent Hill has not had too much about Hydra's matters within S.H.E.L.D.

After all, she is just an ordinary person, and knowing too much is not a good thing for her.

This is not a deliberate concealment, it is just a cautious concern and protection of Hill by Fury and Merlin.

"He woke up!"

A moment later, Agent Hill pointed at the monitor and said to Fury and Merlin:

"Look, he opened his eyes."

"Oh, that's really good."

Fury said in a playful tone:

"The next step is the second phase. Let's see how long it will take for my Steve to get out of the 'maze' we set for him."

"Your maze is rotten."

Merlin snorted disdainfully, he took out a piece of money from his pocket, put it on the table, and said to Fury:

"I guess our Captain America will find the breakout point in 10 minutes."

"Haha, I underestimate me too much, Merlin."

Fury also took out a banknote from his pocket and pressed it on Merlin's banknote. He said with confidence:

"Everything in the house was made in 1944 specifications, arranged by Agent Dugen, and coupled with the memory gap that Steve had just woken up, I bet that he would take at least 30 minutes to realize something was wrong, even an hour!"

"Then I'll do it too."

Agent Hill leaned against the chair, and seeing the two officers having fun, she also took out a banknote from her wallet and placed it on the table. She looked at the monitor and said:

"I think the captain can see through this puzzle in just 5 minutes."

Agent Hill said:

"When I was a child, I grew up watching the captain's hero story comics. I am willing to believe in the superhero in my childhood."

"All right."

Merlin took out the golden pocket watch and put it in his hand. He glanced at Fury and Hill, and then at Steve Rogers, who sat up from the bed with a blank look on his face. He said:

"Then, start the timing."

In the lower ward of Pagasos Base, Steve Rogers slowly opened his eyes after a long breath.

He saw the white, simple ceiling, and the military green electric fan slowly rotating on the ceiling. On the window above his head, the white window screen was shaking constantly by the wind outside the window, and the sound of cars came outside the window.

Steve sat up from the bed, and he moved his shoulders, and the familiar force moved in his body, which was the power from the super soldier serum. After injecting the serum made by Dr. Erskine a few years ago, he changed from a skinny boy from Brooklyn to a real devilish muscle man, the best soldier, and a real hero.

He turned his head and looked at the calendar next to the table. Well, it was the style he remembered. On the calendar's paintings, there were posters for the Victory Day of War.

Today is June 17, 1945.

Naui surrendered, Hitler died, the war was over, and they won.

A smile appeared on Steve's face, and he looked around. Here was his Brooklyn house, familiar cabinets, familiar desks, and the model of the plane he assembled himself.

Those books you like to read are placed on the bookshelf as you remember.

There is nothing precious in this house, but after a long coma, seeing these familiar objects will always make people feel relaxed.

His memory still stayed at the moment when he drove an out-of-control spacecraft and fell to a snow-white Arctic glacier. Now it seems that they have found themselves and brought themselves back to their hometown.

And at this moment, an irresistible impulse burst out from Steve's heart.

Birdwatching Club, see you at 8pm on Saturday

yes.

He, he still owes Peggy a dance.

Page was still waiting for him.

Thinking of this, Steve suddenly stood up and was about to walk out of the ward.

But the next moment, his eyes fell on the noisy radio at hand. It seemed to be a live broadcast of a baseball game, it seemed to be a Dodgers game, and the game seemed to be very anxious.

After hearing this for a few seconds, Steve's expression changed a little, and there was a hint of gloom and anger in his eyes.

"Bang"

The ward door was pushed open, and a young nurse in a white dress with a nurse's hat walked into the ward with a tray and some medications. When she saw Steve, she was surprised, and she said:

"Ah, Captain, are you awake?"

"Yeah, I'm awake."

Steve turned his eyes away from the radio, and he looked back at the open window. Outside the window was the New York scene he remembered, vivid and vivid, just like the scenery he remembered.

"Sit down quickly, Captain, I'm going to inform Ms. Peggy and Mr. Howard that they will be very happy."

The young nurse seemed to be one of Captain America's fans in the local area. She was very excited and turned around and was about to leave. But she was stopped by Steve.

"Hi, little girl."

Steve said:

“What time is now?”

"Now?"

The little nurse looked at the clock hanging on the wall in a daze, and said:

"It's 3:17 p.m., Mr. Steve."

"No, no, no."

Steve reached out and rubbed his forehead, and he said:

"I mean, how many years are now?"

“It was 1945.”

The young nurse said to Steve Rogers for granted:

"Last month, we won the war, and everyone said it was because of your lofty risks, it was you who destroyed Naui's last counterattack, and it was you."

"No, not me."

Steve interrupted the little nurse, pointed to the TV in front of him, and said:

"It's a pity that the Dodgers played. I was there at the scene and watched it with Bucky. If I remember correctly, it should be May 1941."

The little nurse's expression changed a little, and she took a few steps back, as if she was planning to call someone. But the next moment, Steve stood up quickly, pulled the little nurse behind her, and then turned around and closed the door.

"Bang"

The door was closed behind him, and in front of him was a metal passage leading to the front. The silver-gray metal looked full of technology, and there was no one in the long tunnel in front of him.

"Bang"

The captain knew he had been fooled.

This made him feel a little angry. He clenched his fists, and amid the sound of bones intertwined, he held his face and strode forward as he did on the battlefield.

He didn't know who directed it all, but he vowed to punch the bastard twice in the face.

"Tsk tsk, 3 minutes and 27 seconds."

Merlin looked at the pocket watch in his hand, and he looked at Fury, who was gloomy next to him with a teasing look. He reached out and picked up the three bills, put them in Hill's hand, and then said to Fury:

"It's a waste, Fury, it seems that you are really old. I don't think you would make such detailed mistakes when you were young."

"Shut up."

Fury was in a bad mood. He looked at the surveillance camera in front of him and Steve Rogers rushed out of the room and was beating the scene of the agents trying to comfort him in the passage.

Steve is worthy of being the first super soldier in history, and the most elite guard at Pagasos base is irresistible in front of his fists.

"Go and stop him and let him let those innocent agents go."

Fury said to Merlin:

"Let him calm down and then let's have a good talk."

"I'll explain first."

Merlin said to Fury as she walked out of the monitoring room:

"I'm only responsible for stopping Steve. If he insists on beating you, I won't care."

Fury had a gloomy face and didn't speak. When Merlin walked out of the room, Fury said again:

"Go to start!"

Merlin shook his head, he just smiled and said nothing.

To be honest, it's not many things that Fury messed up, it's actually quite interesting.

However, this drama is not Fury's evil taste. The reason why he made such an arrangement was entirely due to the suggestions of S.H.E.L.D.

Merlin told Fury that after decades of persistence, Steve's spirit was already weak, so Fury specially arranged an environment that would make Steve feel comfortable to avoid the stimulation of reality on his mentality.

Not everyone knows that after decades of sleep, all their friends and relatives have grown old in time, can be very calm.

Facing a veteran who was covered in time, he gradually understood the current world and could avoid the mental breakdown that Steve might have.

But how to say it?

Fury's layout was really perfect. He used holographic projection to simulate New York in 1945, and even spent a lot of effort to find a lot of furniture that Steve had used back then, but as Merlin said, a small mistake completely ruined all this.

"Get out!"

The angry Steve punched the black agent in front of him in the chest, trying to block his black agent without using all his strength, but the super soldier's super power still knocked the trained agent to the ground.

Steve was still rational. He did not end the agent's life, but broke free from their constraints and obstacles, and rushed to the deepest part of the steel base.

The moment he climbed over a fence and jumped into a platform, Steve stopped, and in front of him, in front of the passage leading to the deep base of the platform, a man wearing a black windbreaker, a head of hair, black gloves, and a blood-red cane, was blocking his eyes.

"Hi Steve, I am your awakener"

Merlin raised his head and greeted the super soldier who was still confused in front of him. He waved his hand, and the agents chasing Steve quickly retreated and disappeared into the passage.

He pushed his glasses, and in this square with only two people, he whispered:
Chapter completed!
