43. Asgardian worldview
After a group of big-bellied men in Asgard had eaten and drank at the ghost base, they were sent to New York by Merlin on a transport plane.
After taking off their armor, these guys dressed like medieval soldiers looked exactly like the Earthlings. Except for the short and strong figure of the dwarf commander like a wine barrel, the rest of the people would soon be lost even if they were walking on the street.
Fortunately, they all have eyes and their vision is normal.
So they don't need to be sent to alien Jack Gibbs to experience another bad memory recovery, they can fully use the normal model memory restorer stored at the .b headquarters to restore everything in their minds.
However, the thief Agent Z did not immediately arrange for this group of special aliens to undergo memory recovery. On the contrary, in the name of physical tests, he fooled the group of confused guys to conduct a series of physical examinations, including blood draw, motor power detection and cognitive function detection.
This is equivalent to invisibly collecting racial information from the Asgardians. This is a rare opportunity for institutions like .b, which are specialized in alien affairs.
The dwarf, with less than ten soldiers, was able to tie the Kreit agents with sentinel robots, which proved the strength of the Asgardians.
They are also a civilization that can crush the earthlings in terms of strength and physical fitness.
"Have the test result come out?"
Merlin stood on the second floor of the memory recovery room, watching the noise of Asgardians below lined up to enter the memory recovery device like a steel can, and he said to Agent Z beside him:
"How are these aliens?"
“It can be said to be amazing.”
Agent Z next to Merlin was holding a few pieces of paper in his hand. He looked at the contents on the paper and said to Merlin:
"The weakest of them, the one who claims to be a medic, can reach 1,000 pounds of pure strength, which is even more exaggerated. The boxing power detector in the base was almost hammered by him. He could dismantle a truck with his bare hands. If he had a weapon, it would not be a problem to destroy a yacht within a minute."
"Their bone density is several times that of humans, which makes their bodies able to withstand much more impact than humans. Their bodies are much heavier than humans, and their skin tissue is stronger. Ordinary needles cannot pierce their blood vessels."
"There is a power in these guys that we have never seen before, and it is hard for me to describe it to you."
Agent z handed a piece of paper to Merlin, he said:
"It seems like it doesn't exist, but when we collect blood from these warriors, when they feel pain, there will be the same form of power."
"I know this."
Merlin looked at the strange energy curve on the paper and said to Agent Z:
"I've seen someone who looks very much like them before. He told me that the energy used by ordinary Asgard warriors is called 'anger'. You can understand it as an existence power that is inspired from the spiritual level and shows power at the physical level. It will increase the aggressiveness of an Asgard warrior. The attack strength and speed will increase with the increase of anger. Simply put, the more severe the injury they are, the more dangerous they are."
Merlin looked at the noisy alien warriors below and said:
"It seems that this is the elite among the Asgardians of the Asgardians."
"Belsweater?"
Agent z touched his beard and he said to Merlin:
"That wild legend that existed in the Middle Ages Nordic region?"
"right."
Merlin nodded and said:
"The inheritance of berserkers on the earth was inherited from Asgard. Unfortunately, the talents of the earthlings are not as good as those of the Asgards. Only those who are the most powerful among the earthlings can become berserkers, such as Beowulf, Kratos, etc.."
"If I remember correctly"
Agent z said:
"Those are legendary characters."
"Legends often come from reality, Agent Z."
Merlin whispered:
"People who work in our business always have to learn to look at those seemingly nonsense legends from another perspective. Well, they have to complete the memory recovery. It seems that our chat has to pause for a while."
"Well, go and do it, Agent Merlin."
Agent z shrugged, he said:
"I'm going to build a civilization archive for these Asgardians. Some of them will be busy in the next few days. Oh, by the way, I have to buy a copy of Nordic Myths to read."
"Don't buy those modified by later generations, find an original rubbing."
Merlin reminded Agent Z:
"90% of the content in "Nordic Myth" seen by modern people are fabricated by generations. Only in the original incomplete sentences can you find some truths related to the Asgardians. If you can't find them, you can wait for me for a few days. When I'm free, I will go to the wizards' library to help you print a complete, original version of "True Nordic Myth."
"Oh, then I'm going to bother you."
Agent z said happily:
"It's great to have you here, Agent Merlin, you've really helped us a lot."
“It’s nothing.”
Merlin said:
"Help each other. Of course, it would be great if you find a way to send me a letter."
"Send a letter?"
Agent z looked at Merlin in confusion and said:
"ShieldD should have postal channels all over the world, right?"
"The place where this letter is to be delivered is a little far away."
Merlin said with some regret:
“In the Southern Galaxy”
"To end a relationship, there must be a formal notice. After all, I don't want to be a scumbag."-
"Yo, Meadgart's Warrior Merlin."
As Merlin walked down the stairs, the dwarf commander who had recovered his memory was sitting in a seat, pounding his head and thinking hard, while greeting Merlin.
His way of speaking is very strange. The arrangement and use of grammar is quite similar to the medieval grammar. Although it is a bit awkward, it can still understand it.
"Hello, Asgardian."
Merlin, holding two cups of coke, looked at the quiet berserkers around him. He sat next to the dwarves and handed a cup of iced coke to the dwarves.
The dwarf with a lush beard and braided his beard into two braids on his chest took the drink, without any doubting whether there was anything added to the thing. In short, he raised his head and drank the coke and the ice cubes very proudly.
He pursed his lips, as if he was savoring this kind of joyful taste, and then looked at the coke in Merlin's hand.
Merlin noticed this look, and he handed the coke in his hand to the dwarf. The latter took it with a chuckle, drinking it while saying to Merlin:
"Midgart's drinks are quite strange. I have to say that this world is completely different from what my father told me. You are not as backward as we imagined. You have developed a civilization that is completely different from us."
"Your father?"
Merlin asked curiously:
"Has he been to Earth, too?"
"right."
The dwarf nodded and said:
"More than 1,000 years ago, when the Rainbow Bridge was still connected to the nine kingdoms, my father and my mother often came to Midgart. They also had a castle in Norway. Every time they came on vacation, they were regarded as gods by the locals. They liked that feeling very much and occasionally helped the locals to treat some diseases. They were pharmacists and the best pharmacists in Wat Alheim."
"What happened later?"
Merlin asked softly:
"Why didn't they come?"
“Because the Rainbow Bridge is closed.”
After drinking the coke in his hand, the dwarf let out a comfortable moan, he said:
"After a Kingdom Rebellion ended, Odin closed the Rainbow Bridge connection between Asgard and Midgart, probably because that rebellion had a great impact on Asgard. Several elite legions were destroyed, and even the Valkyrie Guards failed. That was a terrible disaster."
"Oh, that's it."
Merlin reached out and snapped his fingers. After a moment, the little dwarf Dobi appeared beside Merlin. He placed a few bottles of Coke on the table in front of the dwarf, looked at the dwarf curiously, and then flashed and disappeared into the air.
"Yo! Is there any gnome that Midgart can release magic?"
The dwarf widened his eyes and said to Merlin:
"I did hear that after the Rainbow Bridge was closed, a group of dwarfs stayed here. Now it seems that they are still thriving? And they can still use magic? It's so strange."
"Here, we call them domestic geeks, and their stories are complicated."
Merlin twisted a bottle of Coke and handed it to the dwarf. He coughed lightly, and he said:
"Okay, we've talked enough in the past, let's talk about it now."
He looked at the dwarf and said:
"Asgardians, what are you doing on earth? And, you haven't told me your name yet."
"Oh, oh, that's so rude."
The dwarf pounded his head hard, and a hugh smile appeared on his face as strong as a rock. He pointed to his head and said to Merlin:
"My memory has just recovered, and my mind is a little confused. Don't mind. My name is Vostag, a general of the Asgard Legion. I was ordered by Odin to bring my guard to Midgart and help you to expel the Kerry people with malicious invaders, who have a bad reputation in the Galaxy."
"Why?"
Merlin asked:
"As a man on earth, I am very grateful to the Asgard warrior for their assistance, but the question is, why do you help us? There is no need for you to do this, and, your god, Odin, how did he know that the Kree came to Earth?"
"Is there anything strange about this?"
The dwarf Worsteg looked at Merlin with a puzzled look, and he said in a natural tone:
"The weak vassal state was invaded. Isn't it normal for a sect leader to send troops to help?"
"Although Midgart and Asgard have been isolated for thousands of years, the subordination between the two kingdoms has not changed legally. You are the kingdoms of the nine kingdoms and are part of the Asgard dynasty, which is irreversible."
"As for Odin knows that the Kerry people are invading, not to mention that in the eyes of the gatekeepers, there is no secret in the nine kingdoms. Just say that Odin's two ravens, Muning and Hu Jin, traveling in the nine kingdoms for two days and nights, they are Odin's eyes. They can see and hear everything they see and hear. We also know the fact that the Kerry people started a war on the moon and were defeated."
Vostag finished another bottle of Coke, wiped his mouth and said to Merlin:
"A few years ago, the Kerry organized a fleet to attack you, and it was our fleet that blocked the boundaries of the solar system, completely isolated the subsequent support of the Kerry. We have been helping you, but you just don't know."
"This is not the first time I have seen you, Meadgart's Warrior Merlin."
The dwarf Worsteg winked at Merlin, and he said:
"When you and that strong and overly powerful woman entered Ronan's command ship, Asgard's officers' regiment watched your battle with magic crystals. I was a commander at that time, and I was among them."
Merlin did not answer immediately, he frowned and pondered what the dwarf said.
There is a lot of information in these words.
After a moment, he said to the dwarf:
"The relationship between the earth and Asgard seems to be a subordinate relationship in your opinion, but the problem is that we have no idea of this. Who is the relationship between our world and the vassal of your world, and when is it decided?"
"Uh, this is a lot of trouble to talk about."
The dwarf scratched his head and said with a depressed look on his face:
"Look, I am just a rough man who leads troops to fight. My history is not good. I only know that a thousand years ago, every ruler in the Nordic region should have been called the Great Chief. In short, every chief would worship Rainbow Bridge when he succeeded to the throne, and swore allegiance and obedience."
"But in fact, I heard that the affiliation between the Earth and Asgard was already settled earlier."
He spread his hands and said to Merlin:
"Not every dwarf can live for thousands of years. I am only 1057 years old now. Those things are also very old to me. It is said that it happened when Odin just succeeded to the throne."
"All right."
Merlin rubbed his forehead and said to the dwarf:
"I won't talk about these things for now. Now that the Kerry has been defeated, are you going to return to Asgard?"
"right."
Vostag patted his big belly and said to Merlin:
"I have to thank you for your hospitality. I had a pleasant meal. The enemy lost. With your help, we won a victory, had enough food and drink, and it was time to go home."
"Oh, by the way, our armor and weapons are still on your side, right?"
"Um."
Merlin pushed his glasses and said gently:
"As you receive memory recovery, we have maintained your weapons and armor and applied sword oil, which are now like new."
"Oh, thank you so much."
The dwarf nodded with satisfaction.
Just as he was about to jump out of the chair, Merlin suddenly said:
"Since you are going back to Asgard"
"Can you do me a favor?"
"What?"
The dwarf looked back at Merlin and said generously:
"I'm a brother who's been fighting together, tell me, Midgart's Warriors, what do you want Vostag to help you?"
"Send me a letter."
A ray of light flashed in Merlin's eyes, and he said:
Chapter completed!
