37. New troubles have arisen

"Hey, hey, man."

The sharp blade of the vibrating sword Buster hit the alien Jack Gibbs' neck. The crisis that the head could be cut off at any time made the unsightly alien raise his hands immediately.

He stammered and said to Merlin:

"Calm down, take this thing away?"

"sure."

Merlin said casually:

"Tell me the answer I want first, who did you sell that gun?"

"I don't remember!"

The alien screamed:

"No matter who bought it, it was a long time ago. I haven't sold that type of weapon recently. There are few people who can find this place. It's even rarer to know that the people who sell weapons here are. I mean, give me some time and I can check the account book."

"Bang"

The pawnshop's door was pushed open, and J, who had barely recovered, pushed the door in and saw a tense scene in front of him. He hurriedly walked forward, reached out and pressed Meilin's wrist, and he said:

"What's going on? It's messing with you?"

"It's not just about provoking."

Merlin looked at the trembling alien in front of him, he took back his sword and said to J:

"This guy sold his weapons to some crazy scientists. I just dealt with the trouble they caused before. I can tell you responsibly, j, this guy is not as honest as you think. I suspect, it may also sell some alien technology to that organization."

Merlin looked back at the alien Jack, and he said:

"I'm right?"

"I don't!"

The ugly Jack Gibbs subconsciously shook his head and denied it.

But the next moment, Merlin saw J take out a silver pistol from his pocket, without a muzzle, only a gem-like light focuser pistol, pressing against Jack's head.

j asked with a serious look:

"Jack, we have an agreement! We can tolerate you playing smuggling games, but alien technology is forbidden! You bastard, is he true?"

"No, no! Hell, no!"

The guy screamed, and the muscles on his face began to twist.

"Bang"

J fired without hesitation and knocked off the alien's head in front of Merlin, and the disgusting green liquid splashed everywhere.

"I appreciate your decisiveness."

Merlin leaned against the counter, looking at the headless body still twitching, he said to J:

"But you killed it, where do we look for a memory restorer?"

"Kill it? No."

j put away his pistol and said to Merlin:

"There is another reason why we compromise with Jack, the asshole, and his race is almost impossible to kill."

In front of Merlin, Jack Gibbs' headless body staggered and got up, a rapidly growing sarcoma swelled on its wound. In just a few seconds, the sarcoma was like a blown balloon, and returned to the ugly head of the alien with buck teeth and asymmetrical eyes.

It's just like a thrilling magic.

"Damn it! Do you know how painful that hurts?"

Jack screamed like a grumpy hamster.

The next moment, it was aimed at a red magic wand, a dangerous ball of green energy that scared Jack endlessly wrapped around the wand, just like a twisted and winding snake, Merlin said softly:

"Is it really impossible to kill? Is it the immortality of the body or the immortality of the soul?"

"I'm very curious. Will this magic that acts directly on the soul completely kill you here? Do you want to give it a try? Jack"

"No!"

The alien took a step back, and he looked at j as if he wanted help, and it screamed:

"Let this madman stay away from me, do you want a memory restorer? That thing is in the basement, but don't blame me for not reminding you that it hasn't been on for a long time. It's an old antique I've bought from the Kiaron people."

"And the alien technologies you sold"

Merlin said relentlessly:

"Explain it all!"

"I originally wanted to reject them directly!"

Alien Jack screams:

"But they gave too much money I can't refuse. Well, okay, I admit it, I did sell some things to people I don't know, but it's definitely not as much as you think."

"What have you sold?"

j asked:

“Is there any technology for mass destruction?”

"No, no."

Jack said:

"I'm not stupid either. What's the benefit of destroying the earth for me? It's hard for me to find such a free place among the stars."

He said:

"That group of people is very interested in energy aggregation technology. They bought a technology from me to make a third-level civilization energy source. It happened several years ago. As for that gun, it was a follow-up to that transaction."

"Level 3 civilized energy!"

J slapped the counter with some anger, and he said:

"You're crazy! Jack, the earth is now a first-class civilization! You sold something that has exceeded our technology for 300 years! Do you know what the consequences will be?"

"etc."

Merlin listened to the exchange between J and Jack, and he suddenly interrupted:

"What does the finished product of that energy source look like? Is it a Rubik's Cube-sized thing? It emits an orange light and feels a little cold to the touch, like ice cubes?"

"right!"

Jack turned his head and looked at Merlin, and it said:

"That is the replication technology of the legendary cosmic cubes by the Kings, and it is also the energy source of their unmanned fleet. It is a very complete and mature technology. As long as the group does not throw it into the sun, that thing will not explode easily. Dear j, believe me, I also love the earth. Look, I even handled the transfer of my hometown at the Immigration Bureau."

This guy was rushing to take out an identity card from his pocket and said to an angry jerk

"I am also an earthling now. For the sake of everyone being an earthling, can you let me go? I will repay you this time! I swear!"

"You have to go to the .b question!"

J threw down something expressionlessly, and he said to the alien Jack:

"You can't open a store before the questioning results come out! Jack, you made a big mistake this time, and Z will definitely be very angry. If K is still here"

"He will definitely let me take the nearest ship to leave the earth."

Jack breathed a sigh of relief, and the guy said embarrassedly:

"Maybe I should be glad that the famous Agent K has retired. OK, come with me and I'll take you to activate the memory recovery device."

The alien who escaped the disaster reached out and pushed open the door to the basement. He walked all the way into the basement with Merlin, J, and the manipulated Gordon.

There was a huge rusty piece of turtle, which looked like some kind of weird construction waste, gathered together with interlaced iron bars into a weird shape, and in the center of those iron bars was a worn-out chair fixed there with wire and rivets.

This thing is connected to a computer with intricate wires, and its energy source is a dismantled yacht engine.

This thing is like the steel garbage that some hippies make after drinking too much wine, and the whole body exudes an unruly steampunk smell.

In other words, this thing gave Merlin a very unreliable impression.

"Uh, don't care."

Jack turned on the computer quickly and said to the person behind him:

"It looks a bit miserable, but believe me, the performance of this old antique is still great. I have helped many people recover before, uh, don't care about these, I mean, it will definitely work properly!"

"Let that eyeless friend sit on it."

While typing on characters that Merlin couldn't understand, the alien said to Merlin behind him:

"You'd better pray that he's not seasick. In addition, if he's dizzy, I have no choice."

Merlin used puppet tricks to control Gordon to sit in the middle of the staggered twisted steel. Jack used a fixing strip to fix his body firmly on the chair, and stuffed something like an electrode interface into his mouth.

"You'd better back down."

The alien walked to the front of the yacht engine, pulled it hard, and started the engine. While operating the computer, it said to the person behind it:

“Go back to the entrance, it’s a safe distance!”

After saying that, it pressed the Enter key.

The next moment, accompanied by huge, harsh noises, balls of beating blue arcs began to rush in the basement, and the surrounding light bulbs began to flash and disappear. The scene was very similar to the laboratory of a mad scientist in a third-rate science fiction film.

Amid Gordon's muffled groan, the rings of discarded steel outside the chair he was sitting began to rotate quickly, dazzling, and after a few seconds, the sparkling arcs on the rings almost condensed into substantial lightning.

Gordon's seat also began to rotate in the opposite direction, and the speed became faster and faster, and finally reached a level that made people feel shocking.

The dangerous sound of steel about to collapse around him made J cautiously take a step back again, while Merlin stood there. In Icarus' lenses, the reading of unknown energy was rising rapidly, like a bomb brewing and exploding.

"Click"

With a crisp sound, a cracked iron bar penetrated Merlin's abdomen at an extremely fast speed, causing Jack and J to scream at the same time.

But Merlin didn't care at all. He continued to look at the instrument rotating in front of him. Gordon's painful voice came from it. It seemed that the thing was taking effect.

"Clang"

More than ten seconds later, another loud bang, and a fog of unpleasant black smoke rushed up in the basement, completely stopped on the chair that was turning far away. Gordon seemed to have made an ion perm. Each of his short hair stood up, and he also smelled of meat batter.

"Hey."

Merlin flashed before Gordon, and he asked:

"Are you awake?"

"Well"

Gordon wailed a little in pain, and he gasped and said to Merlin:

"Damn it, Merlin, did I do something tormenting you? Why did I torture me like this? Hell, I feel like I'm going to be battered."

"Well, it seems that I'm really awake."

Merlin reached out and untied Gordon's arms and legs, and he watched the staggering alien walk out of the seat, and he asked:

"What happened before? Why did you appear next to me covered in blood? And who is the messenger you are talking about? Has he or she been in danger?"

"Don't hurry, let me slow down."

Gordon sat on the ground in pain, rubbing his head while saying:

"My mind is in chaos now, I have to sort it out."

"Oh, this is normal."

The alien Jack stood beside Merlin with a stingy look on his face, and he explained it very much:

"Memory recovery is a very complicated process. Although his eliminated memory has been restored, his brain needs a little time to adapt to it. It's like re-pageing those memories, a few minutes will be enough."

"Also, this sir, you see, I have helped you a lot, so, can I write off my previous affairs?"

It rubbed its hands, and some philanthropists said:

"Of course, I know I made some stupid mistakes and I will compensate me. I won't charge you for restoring my memory this time."

Merlin glanced at Jack beside him and asked:

"Those Rubik's Cubes, I mean, are there any other uses for the technology you sell, besides providing energy?"

“Uh, there is.”

Jack said hesitantly:

"It is essentially a highly aggregated energy. If there is a supporting weapon system, it can be made into a photon cannon, or an energy bomb or something. But no sensible person will use it in such a situation."

"I went to Kings when I was exile. Those golden skins and people who claimed to be noble used this energy source to develop a surprising civilization. Their cities are magnificent, but only a set of parallel cubes is enough to supply the energy of the entire city. The size of a fist is converted into electricity used by the earthlings. Well, it can at least allow a passenger ship full of people to operate for more than 200 years without interruption."

"And the most important thing is that as long as the energy inside it does not leak out, it is harmless. It is a very clean energy, and it is what you uh, no, we, the people on earth need the most."

Jack spread his hands and said to Merlin with an innocent look on his face:

"Look, sir, I just sold energy. As for what that group of people do with it, I can't care about this."

“So how to use it?”

Merlin asked:

"I mean, how to extract the energy from it? You can't use plug-ins and wires, right?"

“It has a dedicated energy extraction mode!”

Jack rubbed his hands again, and it said:

"If you need it, I can give you all that information, of course, hehe, this is not free."

"I remembered it!"

At this moment, Gordon, who was sitting on the side, suddenly spoke to Merlin:

"The Messenger is a member of the royal family from Attilan. He comes to warn us about a crucial matter!"

"The Cree people are back to Earth. They are coming to get what their ancestors left behind and then restart the war weapon program based on the aliens on Earth."

"The warriors from Asgard tried to stop them, and we arrived there with the messengers, but we were ambushed."

"The Kerry brought sentinels."

"We must rescue the messenger!"

Gordon grabbed Merlin's wrist and gritted his teeth and said:

"We must stop those Kerry people from releasing Terrigan Mistlei around the world, they will act at any time!"

"There is not much time left for us!"
