33. Ravens. The fate of twins (2)(1/2)

In the ruins of Ayzaras, who had been destroyed in the burning flames, Merlin stood there with his hands down in front of the tombstone of Raven's mother Angela.

What Raven told him was like a flash of lightning, hitting the corner where the deepest secrets were buried in him.

He seemed to have returned to the night in 1989, 12 years ago.

He thought he had escaped the devil's fate in the wilderness of Wisconsin, but he did not. That heavy fate just fell on another person.

The 11-year-old little girl in front of him.

His sister on the symbolic level carries all this for him.

Merlin turned around and the magnificent city of Azaras in his dream, now in front of him was just a ghostly ruin, just like the life that Riven had just begun.

He didn't know what to say about this matter.

He didn't know how to evaluate the connection and bond between the two.

Is this a coincidence?

Maybe.

“How was it destroyed here?”

Merlin asked hoarsely, he didn't care much about this issue, but the atmosphere between him and Riven was too heavy. He wanted to change the topic to relieve the pressure that acted on both physical and mental aspects at the same time.

“It was ruined because of me.”

Raven said softly in a tone without ups and downs:

"When my mother was pregnant, her cult group was destroyed by the police, and she escaped. Sanguchi's minions were looking for her. The great demon was eager to get a real demon princess or prince, and the power that could make it stagnant see the possibility of a breakthrough again."

"My mom is a um, stupid woman, but she's really lucky."

Riven looked at the tombstone in front of her and said:

"When I was about to be captured by the son of the Three Palaces, the high priest of Azaras predicted my fate. He came to the earth and took away my mother and me who had not been born at that time."

"You mean, the priests of Ayzaras, they have the power to hide the perceptions of the Three Houses?"

Merlin asked.

"Um."

He told Merlin the most important news, and Raven seemed to no longer hide these details. She stroked the dark red embellished crystal on the back of her hand, and she said:

"Azaras is a highly developed race of spiritual civilization. They are very good at spiritual and sacred magic, and their high priest is absolutely sacred. It's like this."

Riven stretched out his five fingers, and a white light turned into a flexibly beating crow in the palm of her hand. He flapped his wings and flew around Riven, then chattered on Riven's shoulders, then looked at Meilin beside him curiously.

Merlin could feel that the ball of white energy thrown by Riven was filled with indescribable positive power, like the scorching sun that pierced the haze, even making Merlin feel burned.

It was a warning from the dark magic power in his body, and instinctively kept him away from this holy power.

"I have been learning sacred magic with the high priest since I was a child to suppress the darkness of my other half of my body."

Ruiwen stretched out her other hand again, and a ball of black and red magic was shaking. Not to mention the quantity, the purity of the dark power was far greater than that of Merlin's body at this time.

"I learned very well, the high priest likes me very much, and people in this city also regard me as the future successor of the high priest. My mother also enjoys this world very much, and she even indulges in it. Everything here is beautiful, but as I grow up year after year, a dark voice grows in my heart."

Riven looked back at the ruins behind her and said:

"Have you ever felt that way? There is a voice in your heart that keeps urging you to do something like an instinct, a mission, a bait. A bait for moths to a flame."

"You responded to it?"

Merlin asked.

"Yes, on my 10th birthday, I responded to that call."

Raven said in a low tone:

"It seems to be in my sleep, I responded to the voice in my heart and then, and then it came."

"The Three Palaces extend the magic that I inherit from it, and descend from its lava hell. It says it comes to welcome its daughter home. Just before me, it summons the flames of destruction, and burns the world that raised me overnight."

"Everything is gone."

Ruiwen's tone became more and more desolate:

"The always serious mentor, my friends, the kind uncles, the ladies who like to enjoy singing and dancing, my mother, are gone."

"The price for me to find my 'father' is the destruction of a world."

Riven fell to the ground, and she knelt in front of her mother's tombstone. She lowered her head and said:

"Its weight is pressed on my shoulders, and I will atone for it all my life."

"Every year you grow up, the Three Palaces call you a little heavier. As long as you are in the material world, the Three Palaces will always find you."

Merlin tried to stretch out her hand and put it on Riven's shoulder. He half-kneeled down and said to the girl beside him:

"I can't say that it's not your fault, but no matter how you prepare, you can do too little in the face of an illogical life like San'an."

"If you still want hands"

Ruiwen turned her head and glanced at the hand that Merlin placed on her shoulder, and she said in a cold tone:

"open!"

Meilin immediately withdrew his hand, shrugged awkwardly and said:

"So you have been hunting the son of the Three Palaces to accumulate strength to take revenge on it? Just for all this around you?"

"I've already revenge."

Ruiwen said in a cold tone:

"The powerful Sannoha thought he could do whatever he wanted, but I would remember what it did. It brought me back to its hell, it thought I was powerless to resist, but it ignored that I inherited not only its power, but also its potential."

"I sealed it with the crystal left by the tutor for 10 years to teach me the most powerful sealing spell of Azaras. Perhaps he had already predicted all this."

"The seeds of the power of the son of the Three Palaces contain the most original power secret of the Three Palaces. I want to completely destroy it!"

"I want to end all this with my own hands!"

Behind Riven, Merlin was silent.

In his most arrogant fantasy, he never thought that anyone could fight against Sannomiya, but right in front of him, this little girl, who was only 11 years old, had accomplished a feat he could not imagine.

But Riven's subsequent explanation made Merlin feel a little crisis.

He was sensible and did not speak, but after a moment, Riven stood up and resuspended in the air. She looked back at Meilin, and there was a trace of beating and obscure murderous intent in the blue eyes.

"I'll kill you in the end, Merlin."

"This is not because I hate you, nor because of the bond between us, this is not the personal grudge that the power in your body is necessary to end the existence of the Three Houses."

"But you are not a bad guy"

For the first time, Riven looked at Merlin calmly, and she said:

"So I will put you to the last one, and you can enjoy your life until I appear before you next time, and I hope you can face your death calmly."

"No, we don't need to die! Raven."

Merlin shook his head and said:

"I know a way to separate the seeds of power from my body without harming my life. I have seen the separated power with my own eyes, which exists as the most original material entity."

Merlin took a deep breath, and he looked at Riven and said:

"If you're willing to help me, I can separate it now."

"Really?"

Ruiwen looked at Meilin suspiciously. When the girl's eyes turned, she looked like a little fox. She hesitated for a moment and said:

"If it's true, that's not bad."

She stretched out her two fingers and gestured:

"I just need a little bit to study the essence of that power."

"Furo"

Meilin breathed a sigh of relief. He noticed the murderous intent of the girl in front of him, and he immediately felt like he had saved his life.

"I'm curious, Riven."

Merlin squatted down and allowed himself to look straight with Riven's eyes. He said to the girl in front of him:

"You have been taught by the wise high priest of Azaras since you were a child. Logically speaking, you should know better than anyone else why you still do that when you respond to the threat of your inner call? Is it because of some desire?"

Merlin's question changed Riven's expression. She seemed a little hesitant whether to tell Merlin the truth.

At this moment, Riven no longer had the indifference she used to be, and was replaced by a child-like concealment, just like Merlin's problem touched her heart.

At the same time, the dark red gem on Riven's finger suddenly lit up.

She looked at the gem in her hand, and the expression on her face immediately became gloomy.

"What's wrong?"

Merlin noticed this change and asked:
