33. Dionysus Gold(1/2)

At 10 o'clock that night, in the laboratory on Skull Island, Merlin, wearing chemical protection suits, looked at the four experimental cabins lined up in front of him seriously.

Just now, he personally injected the mutant potion configured by Vivian into the bodies of the four monkeys in front of him. These potions were reconfigured in the injection process according to Vivian's "spiral effect" theory, allowing the two effects of release potential and somatic mutation to take effect at the same time.

As a result, after waiting for more than ten minutes, the four monkeys in front of them entered the mutation stage almost at the same time.

They all have hair loss and edema. Under their skin, it seems like there are countless small bulges moving, and the scene looks very terrifying.

This represents a mutation agent that has disrupted the injection sequence and is taking effect.

Their bodies' potential is being opened, and the heterogeneous attractants added to the mutant agent are also quietly changing their life form.

“No changes have been seen yet.”

Beside Merlin, Vivian held the experiment log and recorded the status of the experiment every 20 minutes.

She also wore chemical protective suits and said to Meilin:

"It may take 1-2 days to see if the weird metal you bring is useful. You can go and rest first."

“It should be useful.”

Merlin looked at the experimental compartment numbered 3 and 4. On the arms of the monkeys bound in these two experimental compartments, there were cuts, and in the wound, different silver-gray metals were injected.

That is the mysterious metal that Merlin found in the wreckage of the Owl Court’s sharp claws, which can lock in life energy.

"I can feel it."

Merlin said to Vivian:

"The life energy of monkeys is changing, and pain is weakening their own vitality, but compared to the samples without metal injection, the vitality of No. 3 and No. 4 has almost decreased. That metal works."

"really."

Vivian turned his head and looked at the life monitor beside him. On the screen of the instrument, four lines representing different experimental subjects were jumping. Compared with the stability of the latter two, the fluctuations of the first two lines did seem very severe.

"But what is that metal? Merlin."

Dr. Vivian frowned and looked at the extremely unscientific scene in front of him.

She is a biologist, and she can accept that the medicine brought by Merlin can change the form of life because she knows the existence of aliens and knows that it is a completely different life form from humans.

Using heterogeneous genes as mutation inducers can indeed transform the human body from the genetic level. This is a phenomenon that can be explained by scientific knowledge.

But it is really unscientific to "lock" life activities with a few pieces of weird metal.

It's as unscientific as the magic used by Merlin.

"I have no idea."

Merlin replied:

"I've got this metal for less than a day, and I just know it has the ability to lock in life. But maybe we can figure it out from others."

He and Vivian left the laboratory and took off their chemical protective suits. He looked at Skull Island under the night and said to Vivian:

"I will look for people who have lived for a long time and have a deep academic research on mystics to see if they have seen this metal. You keep in touch with me at all times, and tell me the first time when the experiment has its results."

"Um."

Vivian nodded, she said:

"I have a premonition that this time I may indeed come to a conclusion, but the problem is that taking effect on monkeys does not mean that it can take effect on the human body 100%. What's more, you don't seem to have found a voluntary experiment."

“I will find it.”

Merlin raised his wrist and looked at the time, and he said:

"It's getting late, it's time for you to rest. Speaking of which, aren't you afraid to stay alone on Skull Island? I won't say anything about kong. There are many dangerous creatures on this island, and each of them can eat you alive."

"Doby will protect me."

Vivian plucked her hair, and she said indifferently:

"That little devil can do magic, right? It took me back from Skull Island to the UK in an instant a few days ago."

"Oh? Did you see Dobi?"

Merlin asked in surprise:

"You probably can't see it."

"I use this!"

Vivian took out a scoop of women's sunglasses from her pocket and put them on her eyes, she said:

"This sunglasses can filter special light, allowing me to vaguely see the outline of the little devil, and knowing that there is a magic creature around me to protect me, which makes me feel more at ease. However, after being familiar with the ecology of Skull Island, you will find that it is quite safe here."

The doctor of biology sent Merlin to the laboratory exit. In the slightly cold night wind, she said to Merlin:

"This is kong who controls everything. As long as kong accepts us and stays on the edge of the island, there will be almost no danger. Last week, the elders of the indigenous village fell ill and they sent the elders to me for help. They knew that we could cure their illness."

Vivian narrowed her eyes and seemed to be very happy to smile, she said:

"It's actually quite interesting to deal with those simple indigenous people. As long as you help them once, they will treat you as a friend of your life."

"Well, it seems you've found your way to survive here."

Merlin shrugged, and he said:

"Then I won't bother you anymore, let me know as soon as possible."

"Um."

Vivian nodded, Merlin turned his head and shouted at the empty pier not far away:

"Doby, protect Miss Vivian."

The "little devil" Dobi, who was sitting there leisurely fishing with his wooden wand, raised his hand and gestured to his superiors with an OK gesture. Judging from the smile that was overflowing on his ugly face, this "little devil" seemed to enjoy his career as a operative running around the world.

Merlin nodded to Vivian, then activated the movement spell and left Skull Island in the distortion of light.

After another series of rapid movement spells, Merlin returned to New York. He washed a little, cleaned up his face, and then threw out a handful of green Floor powder in front of his own fireplace. As the green flames were burning, Merlin stepped into the flames and arrived at the hall of the Magic France Club in New York the next moment.

"I'll look for the Great Wizard Samuel."

At this time, there were fewer wizards coming and going from Magic France. In the slightly deserted hall, Merlin said to the elf staff with a pretty face at the front desk;

"Make an appointment for me."

"Please wait, Wizard Merlin."

The elf showed a formulaic smile to Merlin. She confirmed it with a special communication stone, and then said to Merlin:

"Please go to Elevator No. 13, Speaker Samuel is waiting for you in the office."

"Thanks."

Merlin nodded to the elf, then took the elevator moving sideways, and after a quick movement of more than ten seconds, he came to the office of the Great Wizard Samuel.

These old wizards have become accustomed to using meditation instead of sleep. Many of them have not had a real sleep in the sense of more than ten years or even decades.

"My Excellency Merlin, what wind has blown you to me?"

The great wizard, who always smiled, sat on his chair and said to Merlin:

"I guess you must have something to ask me for help, right?"

"right."

Merlin did not deny it, and he gently said to the great wizard:

"This time I ask for help from your knowledgeable insight, Mr. Samuel."

He took out a small piece of silver-gray metal from his pocket and placed it on the table of Samuel's Wizard, and he said:

"I found these things from a special place. They are very strange and can lock in vitality. I checked all the magic books I have on hand, but none of them introduced them. It should be considered a strange thing. Have you seen it?"

"Well, let me see first."

The Great Wizard Samuel picked up his square glasses from the table, which might be reading glasses. In short, he put on his glasses and reached out to touch the soft metal. After a moment, the Great Wizard picked up the wand and released a spell on the metal.

The silver-gray metal floated into the air. Under the delicate magic power of Samuel's Great Wizard, it was like it was disintegrating quickly. Balls of black matter were separated from the metal. After a moment, the soft metal completely turned into a liquid form. Under the wrapping of magic, the liquid kept changing shape in the air.

"Oh, I get it."

Samuel carefully observed the pure liquid metal. He took out a black note from the drawer, flipped through a few pages, then nodded and said to Merlin:

"This is the Golden God."

"Dixin God?"

Merlin said a little confused:

"Dionisus? Greek myth?"

"Yes, that's the Greek god."

Samuel leaned against the chair, took off his glasses and said slowly to Merlin:

"But in fact, this metal has nothing to do with Zeus's son. Our predecessors just named this rare metal after the name of Baccarat. You should know, the legendary story of Dionysus?"

"I know, I guess, the reason why it is called 'Dixin Gold' is because it represents 'rebirth' like the story of Dionysus?"

Merlin asked back.
