35. Relief--Gay Brothers for Station B【22/40】(2/2)

Anthony smiled weakly, and he opened his eyes with difficulty and said to Merlin:

"You'll fight it, right? You'll go find it and get revenge on it, right?"

"Um."

Merlin nodded and said:

"I can't guarantee that I will walk to the third palace, but if there really is one day, I will give it a sword without hesitation!"

"Two Swords"

Anthony struggled, he grabbed Merlin's hand and said:

"And my sword will be used for me and spit it for me."

"I will!"

Merlin made a serious commitment:

"I will avenge you, but other people, those we have never seen and don't know, who have been forcibly dragged into this fate. I will avenge you. This is my promise!"

"Thank you."

Anthony said two words with his last power. The next moment, when the faint smile on his face was frozen, his body quickly dissipated in front of Merlin like ashes left by the burning of wood.

In the blink of an eye, a living person disappeared, replaced by a pile of black embers.

And above the embers, a small ball of palm-sized radiance radiating orange was floating there. Its appearance was covered with various symbols, which looked particularly strange and mysterious, but also emitted a warm light, just like the light that was still floating against the backdrop of the flames around it, as if it was tempting Merlin to contact it.

That was the last gift Anthony left behind

It's also a deeper curse.

Meilin looked at the orange ball of light floating in front of him, and he did not immediately stretch out his hand to touch the remaining, sublimated seed of power.

He pulled out his wand and released several water-calling spells toward the burning flames around him. When the cool water flowed down from the sky in the posture of rain, Merlin hooked his fingers again, and held the last two things left by Anthony in his hand from the ruins next to him.

A half-old black cowboy hat.

A broken guitar.

This is the last mark left by a runaway in the world.

Merlin patted the cowboy hat and put it on his head. He carried the broken guitar behind him and looked at the ashes that quickly dissipated in the rain under his feet, and said softly:

"You are free, brother."

"I have to continue to walk. This is our life, the road we will never end."

Merlin reached out and took off the gloves of his left hand. Under the slap of cold rain, he stretched his finger to the shiny orange light ball in front of him, and he said:

“Bless me in the sky.”
