12. The Blade's Tale(1/2)

Merlin didn't expect that this time he would have an unexpected surprise when he came to visit the old hunter Whistler.

Although he had known from the Demon France Society before that the legendary figure of the demon hunter, Bai Lang, is most likely still alive, the news he heard from the old hunter this time really confirmed Merlin's speculation.

The legendary witch hunter White Wolf who was active in the early Middle Ages was not dead at all!

He has been hiding under the appearance of the world in a way that he cheated and concealed, but this has also caused new problems.

According to Elsa's family heritage, the longest-lived witch hunter in history has only lived for 300 years, which is a long life that ordinary people cannot reach.

But the white wolf

If he was indeed alive, he should be in his 1000s now.

How did he do it?

Has he really broken through the physiological limit of the witch hunter?

However, according to Old Whistler, his daughter Albert also encountered the White Wolf in an extremely unexpected situation. The latter gave Albert a bottle of breakthrough potion and some training methods of the Cat School, and left again.

In other words, even Albert himself would definitely not be able to find the whereabouts of the White Wolf.

The legendary witch hunter obviously didn't want others to know about his existence, but Bai Lang spent his whole life in Eastern Europe. Why did he suddenly appear in North America after hundreds of years of fraud?

These questions are not answered, and at least now, Merlin and Elsa cannot find the answer at all.

However, what you should do now still have to be done.

After realizing that the semi-vampire Dickon was already looking for the Temple of Eternal Night, Old Whistler immediately began to help translate the broken texts, striving to find out which legendary vampire that mysterious "Blood God" inheritance came from in the shortest time.

This is a work that requires extremely high professionalism. Elsa and Whistler cooperated, and the translation work was also very difficult.

As for Merlin and Blade, they couldn't help at all.

Therefore, while the old man and Miss Bloodstone were translating the text, Merlin and Blade also left the place that was now full of various materials.

"Your name is Eric, too?"

Merlin said to the silent blade beside him while walking in the maze-like factory:

"It's a coincidence."

"also?"

The blade looked at Meilin, and he waited for Meilin's explanation.

"My adopted son"

Merlin said:

"His name is Eric."

"This is not a coincidence."

Blade said calmly:

"There are hundreds of millions of people living on this land, and the same name is very common."

"All right."

Merlin nodded, Blade's words made sense and he could not refute.

A moment later, when the two were about to walk out of the workshop, Meilin asked again:

"You always wear sunglasses, are you covering up your eyes?"

"No."

The Blade briefly replied:

"I am a semi-vampire and I am a monster myself. Mutation potions cannot change my eyes. I wear sunglasses. I just don't like direct light, that's all."

"What did you lose again?"

Merlin asked:

"I mean, what emotions did the mutation take away from you?"

This question silenced the Blade for a moment, and after a few seconds, he said:

"hapiness."

"Then you are really miserable."

Merlin said:

"A life that cannot feel happy must be so dark that it is unimaginable."

“It’s not that bad.”

The blade walked to his workbench, where a crucible was burning, and there were melted silver ingots. In front of the workbench, there were several sets of bullet molds of various sizes.

Obviously, this vampire hunter is making his own hunting weapon.

While reaching out his hand, sensing the temperature of the crucible, he said to Merlin without looking back:

“I will replace happiness with satisfaction.”

"Every time, since I was a child, following Whistler, every time I watch the vampires fall down and watch them burn to ashes, I can feel that satisfaction should be considered a joy, and a long-lasting and non-declined happiness. Come on, let's take the initiative."

The blade clamped the crucible with pliers, Meilin walked forward and arranged several molds neatly.

He watched the blade quickly pour the melted sacred silver into the mold, and he also noticed that the inner side of the blade's molds had special raised patterns.

That should be a simplified version of the Magic Hunting Rune.

"This thing is good."

Merlin looked at these molds that were exquisitely shaped and had been used many times. In addition to the killing of the sacred silver itself to vampires, the second killing of the magic hunting runes will also be accompanied by the second killing of the magic hunting runes.

However, since it is directly cast by molds, it is impossible to provide complex rune arrangements. These simplified versions of magic hunting runes are also very limited in secondary damage caused by high-level vampires.

But that's exactly what s.d.o.l.d. needs at present.

Merlin did not immediately ask for this mold. He is not familiar with Blade. Such a request is too presumptuous and there is a high probability that he will be rejected directly.

This guy, Blade, is obviously not the kind of guy who can talk a lot of nonsense with others.

A typical person is ruthless and doesn't talk much.

“That was done by Whistler.”

Blade said:

"The production process is very complicated, and the old man has many wonderful ideas. If he didn't become a witch hunter, he would probably become the inventor of his era and perhaps become an excellent businessman."

"Where is this?"

Merlin put down the mold and picked up another weapon from the blade's workbench that he had never seen before.

It was a long silver dagger that looked very similar to a fighting knife. But Merlin could feel that the thing was hollow, and there was something else between the heavy blade and the handle.

He held the hilt of the knife, and his wrist flipped, accompanied by the friction of thin chains, the sharp flat blade was thrown out like a flying knife, and in the midst of lightning, it pierced into the wall 5 meters away from Meilin.

"It turned out to be a chain sword."

Merlin's wrist exerted force again, and amid the friction of metal, the chain sword that pierced into the wall was pulled back.

This thing is very clever, with assassination throwing weapons, but it requires superb skills to be used well. For agents of s.d.o.l.d., such weapons seem too exquisite.

It is indeed amazingly destructive in close conflict, but it is too difficult to use.

Meilin put the chain sword back on the table and picked up another arc-shaped knife. The shape of this knife was like a crescent moon, and it looked a bit weird.

“This is very dangerous.”

Seeing that Meilin was about to throw the knife out, the blade immediately stopped:

"Don't play casually."

"Don't worry, I'm responsible."

Merlin found the mechanism on the hilt of the knife. As his fingers swung, the crescent-shaped flying knife quickly popped out of his other half, making it an S-shaped double-edged flying knife with excellent balance.

Merlin's fingers slid on the blade, and he could figure out how terrible damage the vampires around the user would cause after this thing was thrown out, 360° circling wildly.

"These gadgets don't look like they can be used by the Bear School's witch hunters."

Merlin put the storm knife in his hand on the table. He looked at the dazzling array of gadgets in front of him, and said:

"It's like those snakes playing with traps."

"I'm not an orthodox witch hunter."

Blade picked up his silver straight-blade sword and wiped it while saying:

"As long as I can kill vampires, I will use garlic essence, silver nitrate, silver nails, ultraviolet rays, some special chemicals, and everything can be hunted, right?"

"Why do you hate vampires so much?"

Merlin leaned aside and watched the blade wipe the sword, he said:

"There must be a reason for this, because those vampires bit you?"

"I wasn't bitten to become a vampire."
