10. Can't refuse -- for JOKERRISING brothers [6/7](1/2)
In the San Francisco surveillance room, Merlin threw the ant knight in his hand to the ground.
The guy gently pressed the button on the red combat uniform, and as Merlin looked at him with a little surprised, the guy's body swelled rapidly.
It was like some kind of weird magic effect that made an ant-sized creature turn into a 1.8-meter-high person in an instant.
He wore a silver, weird helmet and a gas mask-like design.
The eyes were red glass pieces, and the combat uniform was already very old, just like the uniforms of motorcycle riders of the previous era.
"Click"
The silver mask bounced outward, revealing a young man's face.
Black hair, brown eyes, sighing stubble, and panic on his face...
This is obviously not Hank Pim.
Unless the crazy scientist masters the technology of rejuvenation and also makes a comedy for himself.
"Listen, guys."
As soon as this guy appeared, he raised his hands very timidly and explained to Merlin who looked at him coldly:
"I had known for a long time that the weird old lunatic must have provoked many people when he was young. His bad temper wanted someone to grab the hammer and give it to him. Believe me, I really want to do that..."
"But I really have nothing to do with him. You all look like people with status. I mean, don't involve me in the grudges between you, ok?"
Logically speaking, a man who dares to try to become an ant knight should not be so timid.
But the problem is that this guy just saw with his own eyes that one hand poked out from the sudden aperture and grabbed him and his beloved mount Anton Flying Ant.
The scene was like magic.
The sudden light and the big hands were caught by them, they could not hide at all, as if they were imprisoned.
All this shows that the people in front of you are strange.
Well, they might be the legendary superheroes...
Or worse, a bunch of super villains who come to trouble Old Hank.
"Icarus."
Meilin ignored the whole lot of nagging words in front of him, and he winked at the glasses girl.
The latter raised his fingers, and the blue light burst out from his fingertips, sweeping the young man's face over it like a scan.
A few seconds later, Icarus said in a cold voice, holding his arms:
"Scott Lang, born in 1982 on a rural farm in Texas, lost his father at the age of 7 and depended on his mother, but lost his mother four years later, graduated from and became an electrical engineer after graduation."
"Two years ago, the defendant went to court for revealing the important flaws of the company's products and hypocritical charitable money laundering operations, but because of the intervention of special forces, he mysteriously disappeared from prison."
"I met a group of good friends in prison and made an appointment with them to open a security company together after they were released from prison."
As Scott Lang saw the ghostly gaze, Icarus sneered and said the last message:
"Oh, by the way, Mr. Lang, who was mixed with Dr. Hank, was abandoned by his wife when the disaster happened two years ago, but he had a lovely daughter named Casey, who is 3 years old this year..."
The glasses cast a photo of a cute little girl in front of everyone, which made Lang, who was wearing Ant-Man combat uniform, feel chill all over.
In particular, Icarus also commented maliciously:
"What a cute little angel. Looking at her smile, my heart is about to melt."
"Stay away from my daughter!"
Scott, like he was going crazy, clenched his fists and swung at Icarus.
But his fist finally stopped in the air in front of Icarus's eyes, and the glasses' mother didn't move, and her blue eyes were full of disdain and sarcasm.
Scott lost control of his body.
His mind seemed to be imprisoned in a body that did not belong to him.
The worst thing is that when he turned his head stiffly and looked at Merlin's blue eyes, he could feel that his inner secret was being quickly examined.
"Let me listen."
Merlin turned her ear and said softly:
"About your past, about your heart, about your secret... about Pim... Well, found it!"
Merlin raised her head and said to Icarus:
"Hank Pim is there in the warehouse basement at the end of 13th Avenue in the west of San Francisco... Move quickly, he probably has noticed the disappearance of Ant-Man, and the alert old bastard is about to run away."
"Also, please "Miss Hope Van Dane, and be gentler, Icarus, don't scare our guests."
———————————
Dr. Hank is indeed ready to run away.
At the moment when Scott's signal disappeared, the doctor who had been hiding for more than 20 years realized that something was wrong.
He changed his clothes, grabbed a storage box of a Hot Wheels toy car in his hand, and rushed out of the basement with a hat, as if he didn't even need his own research materials.
But after rushing out of the basement and leaving the warehouse, Dr. Hank with a hat stood on the lawn, took out a weird remote control from his waist, aimed it at the huge warehouse in front of him, and then pressed it lightly.
"puff"
Accompanied by the strange sound, the warehouse in front of me that was enough to accommodate more than a dozen trucks parked was like magic being applied, and the overall size was shrinking rapidly.
In the blink of an eye, the huge warehouse disappeared.
Instead, it was a warehouse model built like a child's building block, the size of a palm, and it still stood in a large pit on the ground.
Even the basement of the warehouse has been reduced.
This scene is a miracle.
But Dr. Hank seemed to be accustomed to it. He rushed over quickly, picked up the model of the warehouse, put it in his pocket, and then took out a silver Mercedes-Benz business car from the toy box in his hand and placed it at his feet.
He aimed the remote control at the car and pressed the button again.
"puff"
Another slight sound, the toy car expanded rapidly and became a normal vehicle size.
Hank Pim is an excellent scientist.
But now, he has done something that even the great wizard can't do.
No wonder people always say that any technology that is advanced enough is similar to magic in the eyes of people who cannot understand the principles.
"call..."
Dr. Hank was old after all. He opened the car door panting and sat in the driver's seat. While starting the engine, he took out his cell phone and dialed the number that had been in his cell phone but had not been dialed for more than ten years.
At this moment, the old doctor felt a little nervous and a little guilty.
When he was young, he was indeed a selfish bastard. He relied on his wisdom and will offend many people and drove away his friends one by one.
But after his beloved Jennifer disappeared, Dr. Pim seemed to have become a different person.
Unfortunately, he didn't get better, but he became more and more like a crazy, withdrawn old bastard.
Even his only daughter eventually left him.
But under the increasingly crazy appearance, the old heart was hotter than before.
He longs to find his lover.
If she is dead, then go to the world where she buried her to collect the remains for her, and stay there with her, die there, and die with her wife.
Only when you lose something will you realize how important that thing is to you.
Without Jennifer, what else is there to be nostalgic for this damn, cold world besides his daughter?
"Dou,Dou"
The silver Mercedes-Benz was running wildly on the road, and the phone was also waiting anxiously.
"Hello?"
Hope's gentle, slightly hoarse voice rang on the phone, with a hint of doubt:
"Who are you?"
"Hope, it's me!"
Dr. Hank gritted his teeth and said:
"Leave your house immediately and wait for me at the supermarket entrance two blocks away. I installed a telephone booth there, stay inside, don't come out! I'll go over and pick you up!"
"dad?"
Miss Hope didn't pay attention to Dr. Hank's advice at all. Amid the noise, she asked in surprise:
"Why are you...wait, who are you? Why are you at my house? Don't touch me! Ah, don't touch me!"
There was a murmur on the phone that made Dr. Hank's heart sink into the valley, and his daughter screamed and then became quiet.
A few seconds later, the voice of a cold woman rang on the phone.
To be continued...
