Chapter 791 The danger of getting too deep into the play

Cizel was afraid that Jiang Tang would continue to ask questions, so he quickly brought the topic back to his acting skills.

He is rarely serious. He always laughs in front of Jiang Tang, and he feels a sense of sacredness when talking about his professionalism.

"I act as an experientialist. I have to go deep into the heart of the character and build an intimate relationship with him in order to understand what his choice means at a certain point. Nick is one of the most complex characters in my acting career. He is not a completely pure bad person, nor a good person with traditional meaning. He is more like a madman forced into the corner by filth and darkness, a lonely person abandoned by the world.

It was very touching to play him, as if you could feel the car rushing on the mountain road. You felt out of control and everything was in control. It was like stepping on a steel rope in the clouds. If you accidentally fell into the abyss and were swallowed by his darkness, the stimulation brought by it is irreplaceable..."

Cizel talked endlessly about all his psychological feelings, and he had never said these words to the outside world.

"Nick" is an absolute classic in the history of film. Nick played by Cizel is also an iconic figure among many villains, full of fascinating charm, but Cizel rarely shares his mental journey when making movies.

After winning the Oscar, many people would ask Cizel what it feels like to play Nick. When interviewing him, reporters threw such questions at him with curiosity, and Cizel never responded.

He always smiled and said "acted casually", with such an understatement, very much Versailles and deserved a beating. Cizel could live to this day safely, which was probably unfamiliar with his own son of the Heavenly Dao.

Now Jiang Tang heard him analyze his mental journey during acting and realized that he might not be arrogant or disdainful to answer. Instead, every analysis would make him recall his psychological state at that time.

Sometimes it is not a good thing to have too strong memory.

As someone once said, forgetting is God’s gift, time will wash away those negative emotions, and no matter how deep the scar will fade.

It is hard to forget the deep memories of Cizel's acting skills. Every time he tells him, he will be pulled into the role again, which will definitely not feel good.

For example, now, Jiang Tang listened and felt that Cizel's expression and tone began to become abnormal. The subtle changes in his emotions touched his facial muscles, which made his appearance gradually coincide with Nick in the movie... It was like the sub-personality lurking in his body was about to move!

She felt the danger and her face was slightly dark.

She clenched Cizel's palms and pulled his falling soul back from the edge of the lightless abyss.

"Cizel!"

Her anxious call made Xizel come to his senses. He stared at Jiang Tang's face in a daze, and his temples swelled.

"How are you?"

Jiang Tang tightened his fingers hard, as if he was worried that he would let go, and Cizel would return to his previous state.

It was still Cizel who smiled and comforted her.

"It's all old problems, but it's much better to see you."

Cizel did not lie.

Before he met Jiang Tang, the sequelae of being too deeply involved in the role was much more serious than now, so that he could not sleep all night long, and long-term insomnia caused him to be depressed and irritable.

These situations were only relieved after encountering Jiang Tang, including now Xizel also believes that as long as Jiang Tang is by his side, he will not have to worry about anything.

Jiang Tang's frown was not letting go. Seeing that Cizel was about to continue talking, she raised her hand to interrupt him.

"I'll just stop talking about this."

She didn't want Cizel to fall into the dangerous state she had just now again.

Cizel knew she was worried, and smiled, and did not persist too much.

He followed Jiang Tang's thoughts and changed the topic:

"So you asked about "Nick" because of Qiu Han's new script?"

"Well, I might be the villain in it, but this part of the script has not been completed yet."

Jiang Tang only mentioned a few related matters, but did not talk about the plot.

Cizel didn't ask.

But even if he didn't ask, he could roughly guess some.

He couldn't help but mutter: "Qiuhan is really unreliable. He dares to come to you with a semi-finished product!"

Jiang Tang continued: "The first version of the script has been completed, but Qiu Han felt that the characters he wrote did not meet his psychological expectations, so he deleted this part of the manuscript."

Xizel couldn't help but think of Qiu Han's character characteristics. He said that it was a bit similar to him. This is probably a common problem of genius? He pursues the ultimate perfection of creation?

The first version of the script written by Qiu Han may be considered an excellent script of 90% to the eyes of directors, but for Qiu Han, there is no difference between 90 and 0 points, and what he wants is 100% perfection.

Just like the villain inside, how can we create a villain without falling into the norm?

Xizer didn't know the plot, so he could only share his experience with Jiang Tang based on his accumulated experience.

Moreover, Cizel has played different villain roles, some of which look similar, but the audience never confuses these roles, which shows that Cizel has a deep foundation in this area and has a strong say.

"The classic villains in film history look bad, but in fact, they still have the same commonality, that is, the audience's love for them. The audience sympathizes with the character's past, recognizes the character's ideas, resonates with the character, and feels painful about the character, and likes the character's love. This is called a sense of substitution. To achieve this for successful protagonist shaping, excellent villain shaping should also do this."

Cizel has played so many roles, including many villains.

What he concluded is that the reason why the villain is a villain is not because the character is bad, but because the character is destined to be a villain in the protagonist's story. In the character's own world, the villain is also a unique protagonist.

Just like Nick, it should be an evil villain who is popular among the public to defeat the hero.

However, in the movie with him as the protagonist, the camera analyzes his inner world and allows the audience to see his past. Finally, the audience will not be happy after killing, but will only sigh at the impermanence of fate.

Qiu Han’s movie should be developed from the perspective of the protagonist representing light and justice. The villain will definitely be stared at by the protagonist’s perspective. The audience naturally stands on the same position as the protagonist. So how can the villain be like Nick and be recognized by the audience?

Cizel said lightly: "If you can't agree or like, it's better to give up all this and make them completely scared and tremble."

It sounds like it is consistent with the expression used by Qiu Han, but Jiang Tang has a new idea.
