Chapter 1 The Dove Bar

2218, autumn, Naples.

In the heart of the city, there is such a corner, it is called "White Dove", a bar that few people know.

Even the residents who live nearby don’t know how many years this place has been open, but only knows... Whenever night falls, the "White Pigeon" will start business on time.

Of course, even though they know, they won't come to visit.

The store less than 100 square meters, the dull music that has not changed for thousands of years has become the aunt's waitress, and the bartender with a serious face... are not any attractive elements.

But here is still open every day, and it is rainy and never stopped.

Just like tonight, just after eight o'clock, the bartender wearing a suit and a gray-haired temple opened the door to the basement of the "White Dove" that was facing the street, leading to the basement, and moved a folded billboard out of the store, put it up and placed it at the door of the store.

After setting up the billboard, he turned around and returned to the store and returned to the back of the bar; then, he stood silently and straight, waiting for the customers to come to the door.

There are not many guests here, but there are indeed people coming every day.

Usually, before midnight, there will be more than a dozen people in the store, and today is no exception.

These guests either sit alone or talk in pairs; although their glasses are filled with real spirits, each of them seems quiet and sober...

Dang chuck...

At midnight, the small bell above the store door rang. When the door was closed again, another customer walked into the store along the steps.

That was a man in a black suit, and his appearance looked ordinary, just like the countless men in suits you saw and ignored on the street every day.

But at this moment, everyone in the bar turned their eyes to him and stared at him at the moment he came in...

Surprise, doubt, curiosity, excitement, fear... Just because of his appearance, various emotions have spread in this not-so-large space.

In the corner, the old record machine was still playing classic jazz, but except for the music, the other sounds in the room... seemed to have disappeared.

The man in the suit did not react to the strange atmosphere. He walked to the bar as if nothing had happened, sat down, took out a pack of cigarette from his shirt pocket, and pulled out one of them and held it in his mouth.

"I thought you had quit smoking." The bartender came up and said, taking out a lighter and reaching out to help the other party light the cigarette.

"I'm quitting." The man in the suit sucked the cigarette, spitted, and said, "but he smoked it again."

"When will I get it?" The bartender finished igniting the fire for the other party and took back the lighter.

"Now." The man in the suit calmly replied these two words.

"Don't you think about it anymore? Jack." The bartender looked at him and continued with a serious expression. "After all,... it's not easy to quit."

"I know." Jack nodded, looked at the bartender, showing a grateful look, "Thank you, Charles, but I... have decided."

Hearing this, the bartender looked at Jack quietly for a few seconds, and then said, "Okay." He took out a bottle of wine from under the table and quickly and skillfully set up a cup and coaster on the bar, "I'll invite this cup."

He said, and poured Jack a glass of wine.

"Hmph...hehehe..." At this moment, another young guest sitting by the bar suddenly laughed.

His position was very close to Jack, with only one seat between the two; from the second from Jack's entry to Jack, the guest kept looking at Jack, but for some reason, he laughed out loud inexplicably.

"Charles, are you not kidding?" the guest looked at the bartender and smiled. "You shouldn't be trying to tell me..." He said, and glanced at Jack again, "This man...is Jack Anderson?"

"Ice Finger, if you want to shut up, now is definitely a good time." Before the bartender could reply, the bald guest sitting at a small table two meters away responded.

The "ice finger" he said was obviously referring to the guy who was laughing.

"Have I talked to you?" Bingzhi immediately put away his smile when he heard this, and turned to look at the bald man and said coldly, "If I become a second-rate guy to teach me how to do things one day, I will be the first to notify you, but now, can you not fucking hinder my chat?"

The bald man didn't respond to his words anymore, but shook his head helplessly, raised the wine on his table and took a sip.

Seeing his reaction, Ice Finger seemed quite satisfied. A hint of pride flashed in his eyes and looked at Jack again: "Hey, man, are you really Jack Anderson? That 'Jack Anderson'?"

He repeated the same question twice, and the second time he deliberately used a tone similar to "I don't believe it".

But Jack ignored him and just continued to look at the bartender and said, "Do you still provide free almonds here, Charles."

The bartender looked at him deeply, hesitated for two seconds, then turned around, took a few seconds, took a small plate of almonds and placed it on the countertop in front of Jack.

"Thank you." Jack immediately thanked.

"Hey! Hey! I'm talking to you, man." Bingfly raised his voice and shouted at Jack, "Are you deaf?"

Jack was naturally not deaf. He waited for two seconds, turned his head expressionlessly, and looked at the ice finger: "Do you like eating almonds? Child."

"Child?" Bingqi sneered when he heard this title, "Ha...want to put on the airs of a senior in front of me? Listen, 'Old guy', I don't care whether you are real Jack Anderson or not, even if you are, I don't think you are of great significance. Most of you, the so-called "legends" like you are just famous, relying on the praises between your peers..."

"Then..." Jack interrupted before he could finish speaking, "What are you relying on?"

"Ha?" Bingqi didn't understand.

"Since you look down on old guys who are famous, then... you must have some kind of capital that makes you feel superior." Jack took a sip of wine and said again, "What is that?"

"Hmph...he." Bingqi smiled dryly and glanced at the other guests in the bar.

At this moment, those people were undoubtedly looking at him.

"Okay~ OK, I don't blame you." A few seconds later, Bingwei shrugged, "I heard that you have been retired for several years, and I'm understandable..." He paused for a moment and said proudly, "Listen... I'm the European branch of Qianming... Uh... Uh... Uh... Cough... Ah... Ah... Ah... Ah... Ah... Ah... Ah... Ah... Ah... Ah... Ah... Ah... Ah... Ah... Ah..."

Halfway through his words, he suddenly turned pale and fell from his high chair with his chest covering his chest.

No one knows what happened...

From the perspective of the bystander, Jack just sat there drinking and eating snacks, not even touching the ice finger.

But in this case, Bing Finger inexplicably had symptoms of severe coughing and difficulty breathing. After a few coughs, he even coughed up a large mouthful of blood and vomited it on the ground.

"I will come back tomorrow, Charles." On the other hand, Jack was still calm and said hello to the bartender as if nothing had happened. After drinking the drink in his glass, he turned around and left the bar and walked out of the bar.
